Seems This MMO Works Against MMO Concept

Am I just not doing it right? I've been playing this game for 2 weeks and there is literally no sense of community in this game. I can't find anyone willing to group to do anything, I now skIp all flashpoints and heroic quests. Finding guilds,at least on wall of light sever, seems imppossible. Trying to find any useful wikiS for quests or loot info is impossible. My server is so barren I'm lucky to see more than two other players at any point in time. Is this normal? This can't be normal, right?

I must be doing something wrong here. I've had more success with these things on free to play mmos than I have with this game.

It's not just you.

When there are only 200 people on each server, spread out over more then a dozen planets, it's impossible for there to be a community or thriving world.

Supposedly there are character transfers coming that will try and consolidate the servers, but Bioware really needs to lower the number of servers by merging one's we already have together. Until then we are going to bleed subscribers. I have started to look at other games coming out (Diablo 3).

When they release the Space Combat upgrades I will be back. Until then I will ride out my free 30 days.

and this is how it starts, bioware is not smart, the worst thing about dead servers is that it runs away new players faster then a STD....

And once people think the game is dead your new player based will not exist in fact you won't be able to bribe them to play. The server population issue is so important they should rush fix it at all costs, but they continue to play grab butt after months of people telling them this would happen.

I'm guessing you made the huge mistake of rolling on one of the dying/dead servers instead of on one of the actually full servers. If you actually want to do the multiplayer content then you need to be on a server that has a population as opposed to most of the servers now, which do not.

Just unsub it, its literally same as WoW.. same concept and mechanics, nothing new except better graphic and star wars franchise story, i can't say game is bad, its awesome to play and try it, fanboys will even like it more at some point and that's the only fact they are holding on. But it doesn't make me any difference compared to WoW almost same in everything.

And im not whining really or complaining its just personal thinking bacuse if im already fed up after 3-4 months of the game then it's really no point even holding on it or waiting for something better to come up.

And even when they launch server transfer it's still same thing, nothing will change concept will stay same and ''Fleet'' will always be new ''Ogrimmar or Stormwind'' savehouse. Same **** different package.

Think im moving to some other genre since all of these new or anaounced mmos like gw2 or tera... are actually based on WoW mechanics which makes it nothing more then copy paste mmo.

The new kind MMO will be implementing chip holograms into ur brain cells and doing something which will be more revolutionary then anything that is currently on the market which i doubt it will happen close in my lifetime.

Gbye.

Are you talking about leveling from 1 to 85 in WoW?

You often come into threads like this and do nothing but bash WoW. Fanboyism at it's finest there.

And also you're very wrong. It may be very similar when questing that you barely find another soul out and about, that is something both games have in common, however at least in WoW you can pop yourself into the Dungeon Finder and about 15 minutes later be in a group with people playing through a dungeon.

That is a hell of a lot more socialising and "community activity" than a majority of people get to experience in this game.

By responding to my post you have outed yourself as a hypocritical WoW fanboy. How am I bashing WoW? I just said that WoW's leveling zones are empty.

So it's ok to bash SW:TOR for empty leveling zones, but it's not ok to bash WoW?

The leveling zones in WoW are as empty as SW:TOR. Even worse for a game with supposedly 10 million subs. Where are those 10 million people? Yet you turn a blind eye on your precious WoW and only bash the problem in SW:TOR. Oh nobody must criticize WoW! WoW is perfect! WoW is da best!

Very funny that WoW fanboys get all defensive when they get a taste of their own medicine.
