Please gentledevs, stop making this look like 60's avant-garde fashion on steroids

Or some late 60's B Sci-Fi B film

Please, can't we look a bit like this?

While the Jedi stand better on this than the Sith, there are no robes as fantastic as the most iconic robes from the most iconic Jedi, Sir Alec Guinness Kenobi.

Also, all those oh-so-seventies looks from the original trilogy, specially the first film. More inspiration from them, svp!

Um, for the record, I support the inclusion of ...whatever the thing at 1.08mins is supposed to be for my female toons. :D

To clear up, he probably meant 1:08 of this video:

I was watching this wonderful Peggy Moffitt video (ehrm, for fashion research purposes, of course) and mislinked. When he quoted I had already fixed the link.

Now I don't find all the sets terrible, in fact most of the armor sets I think are great , but there is something missing yes. For those wanting simple robes for example there is very little if anything to choose from, and I feel there's a certain lack in something iconic, something that is worth to remember.

I also don't find it particularly wholesome where we're headed, say hello to Sith inquisitor peacocks

There are some options out there that look like the classic characters. Supreme Inquisitor's Robe, for example. Plenty of plain brown looking robes for Sages.

Honestly, I think they have done a much better job designing armor looks of late. A lot of the cartel gear looks really good. You have so many options now. I've played since pre-launch, and the options at end game before you could switch mods out were just awful. The tiered gear on most classes looks terrible. But now that you can move mods into whatever look you like, and there are so many options available both in class-specific gear and adaptive gear, I don't think these complaints are valid anymore.

Well, Supreme Inquisitor is the closest Inquisitor to the 'iconic Star Wars look'. But still a bit far, that belted up suit, with short sleeves, some weird prints and the leathery feel is not really anything like, say, Sidious' looks in RoTJ.

Sages are quite fine indeed, just need some long-sleeved options :)

Hehe :D

You sir are blatantly trying to sabotage my female toons!

I will have none of that!

and also, I agree, it's time simpler robes were introduced. However, having seen the new armor that's supposed to be part of RotHC, I'm not going to hold my breath. Bioware seems to think that the more we look like we just walked out of the swamp or just starred in a 60s B-movie the better. Artists and their weirdness

Awh! But we took our inspirations from the movies! Look: http://images.mmorpg.com/images/galleries/formatted/492011/372df45a-c34e-4a8e-9fea-1f6eb6e76c91.jpg It looks even better because we added so much from ourselves!

I support this idea too. I'm sick of seeing random NPCs with really cool clothing and armor (Soldiers on Alderaan for example) or cool looking low level gear, which looks far better than the orange or purple awkward crap.

It's also illogical at some points. Like early on my Jedi Shadow was told that Shadows are the secret arm of the Jedi Order, yet the late game gear looks like my shadow has a desperate need for attention.

Oh God no, not another Medusa mask.

The robe (with darker colors on the chestplate) would look awesome though.

Eh, I think that IF it were to ever get introduced into the Game, it would have to be via a Quest with Cinematic Footage of either the Orbalisks just creeping up onto the Character or actually attaching to the Character. Otherwise, just equipping it wouldn't make much sense. However, realistically it shouldn't be able to get "unequipped" so in all actuality, it would probably be best to not add it into the Game.

Um, am I the only one that thinks that looks awesome? Seriously, a lot cooler than the lame **** the OP likes. But some simple items for people would be nice. But that **** looks pretty sweet to me.

Well, I wasn't suggesting that they introduce that particular armor. Something inspired by that though would be nice.

Although, the more I look at it, the more it kinda vaguely looks like the Inquisitor's War Hero set. Yeah, I know there are some major differences on the chestpiece (namely the sleeves and the Orbalisks) but the boots, pants and mainly the headpiece do look like they were inspired by the Orbalisks armor.

Honestly, I just looked up all the top level gear and I found that I generally like the look of it all. A bit few too many capes, but not bad overall.

Except, Jedi Consular!

What the **** happened there? First its a bloody fan on the head then its a *********** sleeveless arm like we're going out to a ball with bloody *********** PARACHUTE PANTS! Lolwut?

I 110% agree with this. The armor is way to World of Warcrafty meets Avant Garde and strays so far from the idea of starwars.

Also I fought a boss in a raid. Why did you make a human 300% larger than the standard model and call it a boss. That's really lame! It's a humanoid like everyone else, just a really powerful. This peeved me in World of Warcraft because the Lich King by definition wasn't larger that others in the lore.
