  1. Not had this issue before. Verified files, zero errors.
  2. The Devs intended players to follow the story arc, move to each planet at the appropriate level. They also want people to subscribe because of the benefits - "Purchasing a subscription plan is the fastest way to level up, get more content, and receive unrestricted access to the game". With the upcoming release of RotCH maybe the devs realised that there not enough players at level 50 to enjoy the content. Solution? Double XP, (which kills the need to subscribe). The irony is that SUBS get access to all the content of RotCH, whilst F2P is limited. So who wins in the long term?
  3. Please read Supafreak's comment. I enjoy grinding at leveling. This is why I play these types of games. Double XP felt like a hack. A cheap trick.
  4. I would like to thanks Supafreak and Redclip for their comments. They obviously read the thread and could see the point I was making. I know my level 50 Jedi Shadow inside out because I did grind my way to 50. That was the pleasure I took from the game. That was why I recommended the game to others. Double XP soured the game for me. For others it enhanced it. Such is human nature. I would like to thank all for their responses whether negative or positive. I wish all of you the best in your future adventures in the world of SWTOR. In reply Redclip I was enjoying grind leveling my 2nd char until Double XP. Colin
  5. Quoted from the above website. Quests? what quests? Leveling is as easy as exploring a map. This person never said a truer word.
  6. Double xp is about rothc sales. Wake and smell the ********.
  7. How many f2p players would welcome double xp if they had to pay for the privilege. Pay your sub and watch while f2p players laugh at you. Enjoy the steady errosion of your sub status.
  8. Really. I thought my argument was clear I want to play the game as the developers intended.
  9. Subscription means paying which in turn means faster leveling. F2P means I don't want to pay and they should accept the fact that tnere are restrictions. RotHC is restricted for F2P. Is it then worth the cost. The problem with the swtor model is that F2P players want the same access as subscribers but want it for free. A two tier system is only workable only if everyone accepts they are a sub or f2p.
  10. I am one of the few people who believe that the game should be played as it was designed. When I find myself on Tatooine at lvl 29 having only explored 10% of the map and have jumped 6 lvls then I know its time to quit. I should not have to logoff till double xp is over. I loved this game but Bioware made the wrong decision regarding double xp. This is the forum where the devs supposedly come, maybe they will read the contents in its entirety rather than nitpick. As I said before fast track leveling should not be an option. This gsme is about discovery, grinding levelling etc. This is what I enjoy snd I make no apologies to anyone for my personal preference s. So to all, enjoy swtor if you preferences differ for it is not my place to judge you. Thank you.
  11. Google it . Logic has taken a back seat if you believe that fast leveling is the future of SWTOR.
  12. Subcriptions 2.5 million. Subscriptions now 500k? Current players - how many millions? Trolling i don't think so.
  13. Well itsnice to see that the F2P brigade are out in full. I subbed because I believe in supporting the developers. As to other games I play WoW where a free ride last as long as level 20. And all those who think this is such a wonderful game maybe should have purchased and played it on release. After all it is only popular because its free.
  14. No I unsubcribed because I was paying for XP gains via subscription. Those are now null and void. F2P players get to party, for no cost. I prefer not to hang around in a universe that is populated by people who have had a free ride to 50. F2P is and will continue to be the death of SWTOR. And I suggest you read the post in its entirety. People are skipping content because they don't need to do it.
  15. There is no need to do the following to boost XP. Flashpoints, Warzones, Space Missions, Explore Planets etc. Double XP means you are overleveled. Planetary and Enemy scaling if out of sync. Players are on Taris (Empire) at level 42, yet Planet max scale is 36. There is no fun nor joy in this. Grinding levels and watching your XP inch towards another level was the way of the game. Achieving level 50 after all those Story Arcs, Flashpoints etc was electrifiying. Now my char jumps 6 levels in less than an hour. All the additional content is now redundant. This so dismay me that I did the following. Unsubscribed with 3 months to go, deleted my char, had already pre-ordered RotHC, but Bioware can keep the money. And why did I do this? Simple. It turned from an excellent game with endless possibilties to Star Wars The Old Republic (3 year old edition). There are those who of course may see my actions as ludicrous, But how many people currently leveling are doing anything but Story mode and a few side missions. I spent days leveling my other char to level 50, and now people jump from level 24 to 42 in a matter of hours. Can anyone in all honesty say this is the same game they played before Double XP. Can anyone honestly say they are not totally skipping content. Can anyone honestly say they will feel a sense of achievement upon reaching level 50 under those conditions. Those are my thoughts and reasons for leaving SWTOR. A shame that sales of RotHC take priority over game content. Goodbye.
