  1. Hi Folks, Due to the huge response to my post a couple of weeks ago titled "The 45 Year and Older Professionals Club", a few of us have decided to start a guild geared for the "mature" aka "old" players. In order to get this thing rolling, we need all who are interested in joining to reply with the following information: 1) Age 2) Preferred Server Once wer have a fair amount of responses, we will choose the most common server and can then begin the process of sending invites. Based upon the responses in the original thread, it appears that the favorite name for the guild is "The Older Republic". Look forward to teaming up with everyone!
  2. Wow! This is so cool! I had no idea that my little thread would generate so much response. It has been great reading everyone's posts. I am interested in starting a guild. From the posts I read, it seems like most liked "The Older Republic" as the guild name. I currently play on The Razor, but would be open to any of the servers. I prefer PVE and only play Republic. Thanks for taking the lead on this!
  3. I think it would cool to start a guild. I would have done it myself, but think there are more qualified people out there. I would gladly join if someone were to put it together. I have no suggestion or preference on a server.
  4. It's been great to see just how many people are out there! Some people have suggested we start a guild. I have a couple of suggestions for potential guild names: 1) Galactic Geezers 2) The Older Republic 3) Corellian Codgers 4) The Bunion Brigade 5) Oldspice Smugglers 6) AARP'ers Anyway, just some thoughts
  5. It would take someone in this club to decipher your forum name. I loved Quick Draw McGraw and his side-kick Babaluie!
  6. Listen you young whipper snapper, if you were in my yard, you wouldn't be messing up my grass, I would be kicking your ***!
  7. Every once in a while it dawns on me that I am teaming with folks that weren't even born when I bought the socks I am wearing. I know this as I often team with my three sons. As a 47 year-old professional who leads a multi-million dollar project for a large corporation, I am sure that many of my co-workers would be shocked if they knew that when I get home I log on to SWTOR and pretend that I am a Master Jedi for 2-3 hours. Not that it bothers me. It keeps me young in mind and heart. It got me to thinking, "How many others out there are like me?" I'm sure I'm not the oldest player out there. So, if you fall into the geriatric crowd within SWTOR, give a shout out with your age and profession. It will be cool to know who is out there.
  8. Ok, that makes sense and pretty much what I thought. It was merely the terminology that threw me off. Thanks all!
  9. So is what makes a power "spammable" is that it is not dependant on another power, proc, or action for it to attain its maximum capability?
  10. Forgive me for what may seem to be a simple question, but I could use some clarification. On the forums, I have read a number of posts where people refer to a "smammable attack" or that so and so is simply spamming that power. What is meant by spamming? I was under the impression that there are no auto-attacks and that there is no option at this time for macros. Thanks in advance for the clarification!
