  1. Just wondering if the new "digital expansion" is going to be treated as major expansions in other MMOs are. Will the game version be set to 2.0?
  2. Whatever the "secret space project" is will probably be our first expansion, along with a couple of new planets and new chapters.
  3. Let's say I'm a subscriber. Through the loyalty program I have quite a few Cartel Coins saved up. My friend is not a subscriber and is on the free to play plan, but we want to play Warzones together. Can I unlock unlimited PvP access using my own Cartel Coins for my friend? Same goes for flashpoints, operations, whatever it is I want to gift a friend, would I be able to?
  4. Heisenberg knocked on my door, shot me in the face, and used my ship to further his empire.
  5. Hi everyone, This thread isn't meant to be another "dis gaem sux" fest. This thread is meant for the BioWare dev team to get our feedback, as loyal subscribers to the game, about what needs to happen in the game before F2P is implemented. As of right now it looks like 1.5 is going to be the Free to Play patch since 6 weeks from now it will be November. What needs to be put into the game with 1.5? This is the thread where we tell BioWare. So discuss. Let's give the BioWare team something to work on for the next 6 weeks.
  6. With the promise of free to play having "content updates every 6 weeks" I have to wonder what they mean by this. What I think they mean is that instead of releasing an update with a flashpoint, operation and warzone in it at once (like 1.2 for example), they will be releasing them all separately. The flashpoint, then six weeks later the operation, and six weeks later the warzone, etc.. They rotate new game features to release with every patch. If you do the math, at a 6-week schedule for a full year, BioWare will release roughly 8 or 9 content updates. Let's say, for 2013, they release 8. Included is a single bit of content for every one. In half a year, BioWare has added 2 flashpoints, 2 operations (I don't consider KP to be an operation at launch, it was incomplete), and 1 warzone. So if they had been following the 6-week policy from launch, things might have looked like this. Mid Feburary 2012 - Karagga's Palace (Operation) Late March 2012 - Kaon Under Seige (Flashpoint) Early May 2012 - Explosive Conflict (Operation) Mid June 2012 - Lost Island (Flashpoint) Late July 2012 - Novare Coast (Warzone) Right now, we are in late August. So it's looking like the 6-week updates will give us more content in a year's time, just spread out. But wait, I hear that 2 more content updates are planned for this year (likely before F2P, but that's just speculation on my part.) Included will be HK, Makeb, new operation, and new warzone. Among potential other features not yet announced. Let's pretend to add that to our list now. Early September 2012 - HK51 (Companion) Mid October 2012 - Ancient Hypergates (Warzone) Late November 2012 - Terror From Beyond (Operation) That makes 8 updates. 8 for 2012, if they followed this from launch. So what's missing? Makeb, the new planet is missing. Why? Because it wouldn't fit into the 6-week schedule. It would instead end up in early January of 2013. So it looks like the less frequent, mega updates actually end up delivering more content over a full year. Some might say that the one feature that didn't make it into the schedule doesn't make too big of a difference. But I want to hear what you guys think. Because if this little experiment is to be believed, BioWare will end up releasing about the same to maybe a little bit less content over the course of a full year of F2P than it did when it was a subscription game. So what do you guys prefer? Less frequent updates with more content, or more frequent updates with the content spread thin? Discuss this here.
  7. I only got a Bounty Hunter to 50, and enjoyed the story quite a bit. Currently rolling a Jedi Knight, and enjoying the story even more. Favorite planet would be Alderann, especially for the Bounty Hunter. Kicking royal *** is just so much fun! And favorite side? Well of course! Empire!
  8. I want a better Character Creation. Please, BioWare, give us a better character creator. Allow us to change the colors of our gear. Allowing races across legacy is a start, now we just need a better character creator. I imagine Legacy will expand over time, hopefully with some discounts for the over-priced character perks. I also expect the usual content updates to have new Flashpoints and Operations, with the ocassional new Warzone every couple of updates. I also want Ilum to be revisited so that my Level 50 characters have something to do besides grind the dailies. Come on, TOR! Push 1.4 out before Guild Wars 2 launches!
  9. For 1.4? I predict... -HK-51 -New Flashpoint -New Operation -New Warzone -New Legacy Stuff (Hopefully) For 1.5 I think they will also add some new Flashpoints, Ops, and the like. 1.6 I think will add the new planet, level cap increase, and Chapter 4 for every class quest. 1.6 will likely be in Decemberish for the anniversary. That being said, I think a lot of stuff will go into 1.4 considering BioWare wants to keep what players still play this game here instead of going over to GW2.
  10. I'm assuming that BioWare will have the first expansion for TOR out by December 2013, somewhere around Update 1.10 or 1.11. From 1.4 to 1.11, I expect new Warzones, Operations, Flashpoints, Planets, Chapter 4 and 5, Companions, and Space Missions. In other words, all the content they've announced so far and more.
  11. Content, content, and more content. Not all at once, of course, but gradually. I want to have all 8 classes at 50 by the time the first expansion hits. I expect more flashpoints, maybe a massive 5-10 part flashpoint series? Like episodes of a TV show, in flashpoints, spanning the galaxy. That would be extremely epic. I also expect more Operations, one every other content update. More warzones would also be welcome, because PvP becomes major at Level 50. Also new Singleplayer content. New companions, new planets to explore, and new level cap all sounds great to me. Based on my understanding, a new companion is in 1.4 so that's nice.
  12. If you're complaining about the maintenance you're a hypocrite. I know for a fact all of us here don't like bugs. So why is there maintenance? So there are no bugs. Go do other things with your life, come back, and enjoy a better game experience. Or of course, unsubscribe, and see if that makes your game experience any better.
  13. Are there plans to make a Companion Armor vendor, perhaps using Credits or Planet Commendations? I think this would be a much easier way to advance the gear our companions wear.
