  1. I for one am kind of upset they haven't listened to really any of our feedback. I've been hoping to wake up to them understanding that the changes they're making to our class will kill it for many of us but alas it seem's that wont come true. I don't really have any need nor want to play at this point but I may re roll a scoundrel. What are you going to do?
  2. Thanks for your post dude, it's nice to see someone realize what many of us are going through.
  3. come on now no livestream questions....really? The guild portion was what I was looking forward to most...
  4. So what are your top 3 things you would like to see fixed in Warzones in general? For me it would be, 1. Award healers a kill when they heal someone who get's a kill. 2. When you DC from a Warzone you get some kind of grace period before you get kicked. 3. Add some sort of penalty for intentional leaving. For me the last couple of days the dc issue has been more prevalent than the others. It seems I keep randomly getting kicked to the character screen when I'm in Voidstar. It doesn't usually happen in the other two Warzones. Just curious about what some other issues others might want to see fixed first.
  5. First let me start by saying this is my view on the class and healing if there's any mistakes or things you feel differently about I'm certainly open for suggestion, but this is how I see it. So the first thing to note about being a PvP healer is that this isn't PvE. A lot of PvE players think they can come into PvP and heal just like you would a flashpoint or raid...you can't. Healing in PvP requires much more situational awareness and the ability to perfect a triage style of healing But most of all it requires you to be real damn lucky. In many cases you wont be able to stick to a standard rotation, you'll have to stop and cast something on the fly or run around a corner and lose line of site on your targets to get that pesky operative off your back. Mobility is key, being able to move and position yourself far enough away from combat but in range of your allies is very important. In many cases you will find that as a healer you will become the focus of the smarter more well geared members of the enemy team. Expect to be cc'd, thrown around, stunned, and focused on more than any other person out there. The trick is keeping yourself alive while keeping everyone else up and on top of that being aware of your force and ensuring you don't run out, because if you do that's game over. One of the simplest but most effective tools we have in pvp is the fake cast. If you find yourself being focused and they interrupt your heals once or twice, start juking them out. Generally most interrupts are 8-10 second cd's that lock your spell out for 4 seconds. So if you get interrupted pop your rejuvenate and then as soon as you can pop off 2 deliverance casts (they should both be about 1.4 seconds ea if you do it right) then wait about 2 seconds and start casting a third and juke it off. It will take some practice if your new at it, but it's a handy trick that will help a lot if done properly. On to the spec! There are a couple that work very well for different situations. Personally If I'm going to just sit and pvp all day I prefer to use an egress spec. Egress + PvP 2 set bonus + force slow = happy safe sage. With our 2 set reducing the cd on force barriers lockout debuff and the run speed there is no reason you should not be able to outrun your pursuers and get back to your team asap. You find that you lose a bit of aoe heal effectiveness with this spec, but I believe the added survivability is well worth it. Earlier I touched on triage healing and that is really where you will separate your good healers from your great ones. Being able to keep your buddy down the street alive or your tank friend from Cali is all well and good. But being able to keep all 6 people fighting in the mid on Alderaan or at the doors at Voidstar will improve your teams chances 5 fold. Don't ever rely on other healers whether you know them or not. You don't know if they're getting focused or interrupted or just thumbing their nose. You are in charge of keeping everyone alive and at fighting health. Don't worry about topping them off, or keeping everyone pre-shielded. Focus on 3 things in this order, your health, your force, and your teams overall health. There is nothing wrong with everyone being at half health in a pvp fight. Don't waste your force topping some guy in the back off while some other fella 20 feet in front of you is getting focused, this ties into being mobile and aware. As a healer in PvP you are the most important piece on the board. You can be told differently by others, but at the end of the day no one else but a healer has the ability to keep an outnumbered and outgunned team in a fight. One good healer can make all the difference in the world. Don't judge yourself by how much healing you did, judge by how many deaths your team had compared to the enemy's. Hope someone finds this interesting or useful lol.
  6. I meant defender my mistake, the 300k damage isn't all that hard. I've got a shadow and a sent on my team who almost always hit 300k.
  7. This is the inherent long term problem with this situation. Healers will inevitably become irate with needing to play 15-25% more games to get the same amount of coms as their tanking/dps buddy. It will cause healers to stray from healing and focus on dps.
  8. As a DPS by doing your classes main focus you are able to receive medals easily for, 2.5k dmg single hit, 75k dmg, 300k dmg, 10 kills, 25 kills, a killing blow and a solo kill for a total of 7 not including objective points which bring you to 9. As a healer focusing on our job which is to heal we get 2.5k single heal, 75k healing, and 300k healing.....a total of 3. In order to be competitive with a dps in medals we must move out of our main focus and try and get a few hits in on people to get our 10 kills and maybe hope for a killing blow. It's a problem and it keeps healers from really doing their job in warzones unless they're comfortable all the way at the bottom of the list.
  9. Actually on my BH I pulled 11 medals easily as a powertech. Also last I checked....the healers job was to heal. Would you rather have a healer on your team focused solely on keeping you and the team?....or one who is worrying about getting his 75k heals then just focusing dps? Because for me I would rather have healers just focus on healing.
  10. While I do agree with you on the point, I just want to point out there is a medal for 300k healing. But yes we do get kind of shafted. In my opinion the quick fix to take us from getting 2-4 medals per game to 4-6 would be to grant us a kill for healing a person who just killed someone. This is the way the mechanic works in most mmo's except this one. It would allow us to easily get the 10 kills and 25 kills medals without having to hit those people.
  11. MICK'EE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Long time no see!
