  1. I have been playing SWTOR on and off for years, mostly on - and while i appreciate that they want to put out new things for players to do , and they want to give players who have that lvl 70s just chillin make them log in , but .. why not give something that works? Ioketh - for some reason - you cant take the class symbols off your character, even if you disable it in the settings, they like to be there, thus they just show up - and if your running it you get trapped above the factory right after you do the power node quest which is really just running in a circle for a few min - not to mention if you die in that 3v1 fight (walker vs 3 droids) and accidentally go to the med center, you have to fight your way back in to the enemy base (without your walker) to try and get back to the fight - and I don't even know if you get your walker then - I never made it back into the base before I said - hey look League of Legends The train - while i love the idea - its cool - I don't understand why enemies fall off the train presumably going a billion miles a hour , yet don't die, and simply shoot you though the train that you cant target them, then your companion who has served you faithfully for , however many chapters up till now, suddenly contracts a severe case of "huh" and stands around watching you die, or worse, stands in the fire - going "it kinda feels good" - not to mention that bonus boss in "story mode" -- that simply one shots them even if he is looking the other way when his AoE goes off - I like Swtor, i will keep playing swtor.. ill keep paying to play swtor.. but, for our sake. for your sake, for the galaxies sake, take a moment - stop trying to pump out new stuff, and make sure what your putting out works correctly? - oh yes, and make Gormarran a Player Race! - ok that last one was personal .. i just wanna be a pig that uses the war axe, even though its more a war hatchet
  2. "A system that works" I'll get to that in a moment, but - Ill be honest, I have a pretty decent amount of credits and i have 80% of what I really "want" why do people assume because I post a idea about something that it really is only for me? As for your system that works - it only works for the people who currently have it in there control - for everyone else it's staggering along at best - in the current system regardless of what is posted for what, the power is all in the sellers hands, since the first response talked about apartments, ill dash some reality as well , Ebay - charges you to post items, this fee you do not get back - then once you sell a item they take 10% of the mount of sale to a maximum amount - (3.5% on some things i agree) All my suggestion was doing , was putting a little bit of power into the buyers hands - sellers would be forced to price items that would either sell, they post items and risk losing the "deposit" or "holding fee" if you prefer - (effectively fighting the inflation) Items that are selling now for example would still keep selling - only items that are posted for prices that too large to effectively be sold in 3 days would be the people "hurt" by such a change But i doubt anything would get changed either way - as they say , the rich get richer - I wish you luck in your future
  3. Suggestion - Change the way the GTN works How - make the deposit a % of "asking price" rather then base it on base item - deposit is non-refundable - raises depending on length of auction - for this example ill use 2.5% - 1 DAY 5% -2 DAY 10% -3 DAY (% obviously subject to change) Example - You post a item for 1 million credits for 3 days - you pay a 100,000 deposit non-refundable - if it sells you get 1 million credits, to your inbox - a 90% profit - (more depending on what the item was worth to vendor) Why the hell would you ask this? I am a decently avid Swtor player, and more and more i noticed the GTN filling up on my server with items with obvious prices that seem like they are using it more for fancy storage or show and tell rather then a place to sell items. Most normal players never buy the items listed for ridiculous prices anyway - For example - is that helm worth 124,000,000 credits, or almost 2.1/2 guild ships? even if it looks great, obviously not - I sometimes wonder if anyone really has over 125 mil credits - but that is a side point. I think the flaw in the GTN is it is a seller's market by large, Sellers can post a item for almost no cost, with no risk of losing the deposit (unless cancelled early) and with total immunity to risk in asking price, if you posted for 9 billion credits, it doesn't sell, you get your item and your deposit back safely in X days, no harm no foul. what this does is make the GTN a glorified Cargo Bay - and if on the off chance some crazy guy has 9 billion creds and buys it, you are shocked, but hey who cares, your 9 billion richer. The above posted way to sell things makes people think a bit more on posting, no longer will it be "well there is only one on the GTN so i can ask 120 million - " rather it will be " How much can i sell this for that still makes it worth while?" By doing this you level the playing field - the seller still makes 90% profit on any item sold , even in the event of the 3 day auction - the buyer gets his item for a price that is actually achievable for people in game allowing both sides to be relatively happy Now before people explode with the hate on me - please- this is a suggestion, not me trying to upset people or get people upset at me FAQ (I brought the idea up with some real life friends and friends in game, asked for feedback, these were the top questions) I should be able to sell a item for what I want ! - yes - and you still can, however, if you are trying to "sell" a item your not putting it up there for exorbitant prices that no one is going to buy it for anyway - also if you really think that item is worth 10 mil in 3 days whats a mil to you? you still net a 9 million profit - People will just spam trade chat - yes they might - but you can always shut it off, and check the GTN for more reasonable prices. Why should I take the risk? - as the seller of a item, the power is YOUR hands for setting a price, if you set it at what the item is worth , people might buy it, people might not - the GTN is a investment resource, not a slot machine there should be a risk in posting for higher prices - Well, then no one will use the GTN - yes , there would be a slump in the GTN at the start - but people will still use it - really big ticket items might be sold in trade chat - meaning that (le gasp) you would have to do some legwork! Thank you for reading my suggestion - obviously i enjoy any feedback you wish to give - and yes I know that my %'s might be high balling - but as a suggestion i would expect it to need to be refined and tweaked. Thank you for your time
  4. For now, yes.. I also have fully unlocked my Cargo /Legacy bays and inventory.. I run a guild, and we do events where i tend to give away Adaptive Armor sets as gifts, and the like, currently we have over 40 Armor sets on ice, waiting to be given out (shameless plug here) but that is also 120 slots taken up simply by armors, that is not even going into color crystals, odds and ends, and the like. Right now i agree , there is about 1 bay space i could muster out if i really wanted tom, however, i think the NPC to consolidate the upper/mid/lower into a single Armor Set , would also be very helpful. Was just a thought.
  5. Like most subscribers who have been around for a while i have nearly a full cargo bay open, as well as almost my full Legacy bay open, and prolly like most, we have upper/lower/supplemental boxes in mass in our cargo bays. My Suggestion a vendor or something, that you can put a upper/lower/supplemental, or a entire set of adaptive gear into and it will package it nicely into a full armor set in a box of that set. This will aid people in selling on the GTN, as well as save a lot of room in cargo / legacy bays. Even if you did this at a moderate credit cost, i could see people using it wildly, (making the box-a-nator9000 a decoration would be even better, but i think i might be dreaming that,) In essence a way to cut down on space, people obviously will have the option NOT to use it , and sell there stuff as is, however, it would be wonderful to be able to box up full sets , if not for sales, then at least for Guild Events, give-a-ways, and saving space. Thoughts?

    Point of a Tank?

Your right, and i do switch guard and CC people, I don't just SIT on my healer, i continually check on them, yes.. but i don't just stand there and go .. uh .. hi.. I use my AOE taunts, my taunt, my intercede and all that fun stuff that tanks use, I also go where people are getting 2/3 v1 and split the groups, by Choking one, Force push the other, ect. However... when you have 70+ Hp and a single assassin can 1/2 hp you with a stab out of invis, then go invis right away .. and attempt it again .. you tend to lose a little heart.. when sages, can go INVISIBLE unless hit by tech, as shown in the screen shot, (and reported once already to Swtor) and by sage i do not mean shadow that get invis. I am decent, i do not say I'm the best, I do not say I am great, but I DO say that the shadow/Assassin needs to be stopped, why? because in order to give them a tank spec, they gave them tank abilities, to make them viable tanks, which worked great, till some cheese head realized, that while Juggs are more Great reliant, Assassin's don't need defensive gear to gain all that great absorb chance, and such they just get it for being Tank Spec! now they have mitigation, sustain, and can still put more damage! .. Give a sniper Stealth and and **** explode, when ambush comes outta stealth.. but they give Assassins comparable dmg out of stealth and everyone is ok with it .. thinking, that because they dont ware heavy armor, its ok .. its not.. there abilities mitigate for them. I am not saying your wrong, tanking is a pain in the ***, but I am not saying your right and there isn't a issue here. I don't expect a walk in the part when i bring my Jugg in , and i don't give a rats ( insert favorite curse) bout damage, its not my job, But when i cant protect , or CC, or do anything because its stealth stab stealth stab stab whirling saber of death, and then you look at they are TANK spec.. its like .. This War Zone brought you by the letters W, T and F.

    Point of a Tank?

I love Juggernaut.. even the name.. Juggernaut.. reminds you of the man standing admit the carnage and while he is beaten broken bruised and bleeding, he stands ... I know the job of a tank in a WZ, i guard the healer, stand on/by them, CC for them so they don't get beat to hell, Before this starts i am lvl 65, with 208 PvP gear, fully augmented with 208 augs. and full expertise crystals. But whats the point, when any assassin or Shadow running the new "hello I'm god" hybrid gear can 3 shot you. By running in a circle and spamming that stupid stab. Then vanish easily and repeat the process on the next poor shmuck who entered the wrong WZ at the wrong time. The new "glitch" that lets Sorc / Sage be invisible even when your beating the ever loving hell outta em (and I've seen it too often for it to be a random "bug") I like to PvP, i don't mind losing, when our team is crap, i don't mind losing when you have no communication, or yoru team makes mistakes.. I DO mind losing when its not the fault of the team, but the cheese-tastic crap of the other side. teams of 3-4 Shadow Hybrids running in circles stabbing you with what ever that thing is that takes like 1/4 of your hp bar. invisible Sage's running around the Wz that you can see the name over there head, but can only target them with Tab or when they are hit by tech they light up like they have a shield. . Example - Names removed - http://imgur.com/u2VqnQl This was the 4th time I've seen a Sage with this "bug" they are invisible, you cant see em , when you hit em they light up a bit, as you can see in the picture, (thanks to my team-mate) otherwise you see a name, and that is it , The mage thing, could be a bug, could be glitch,.. its livable, harder to work around sometimes, when you take the nameplates off, but its doable.. the Sin doing 1/3 a Juggernauts HP by running in circles and spamming a single ability.. is dumb. 3-4 hits and the Tank dies.. WTH are the other people supposed to do? bend over? its about all it seems you can do, oh look a team of sin's , is there a surrender button? and i know its most likely the same team of people, and i know there is really nothing anyone can do about it. Save try not to get put against em, but I am tried of people who exploit a bug, some part of a game system then think they are so skilled cuz they abuse it. its sad
  8. Perhaps i was not clear, as i tried my first post in a relaxed friendly manner, please allow me to clarify ... Currently , we will say the GTNs "share" when you sell a item is 3% (no idea if that is the right number we but bear with me please) when a item sells, 3% goes to the GTN as Tax, when a times does not sell, the item gets sent back with what you paid to post it ... I am not saying add to the tax, i am saying make the cost of post a item 10% of that price you are posting, if it does not sell you will get back your 10%, but it will prevent people from posting for ridiculous costs of 50, 75, 500 million or even a billion , as they obviously would not have 10% of a billion sitting around, Right now , most adaptive gear costs about 1 to 5 credits to post. some speeders are about 2,000 to 3,000 to post, Most of the stuff that is hugely overpriced on the GTN, is Adaptive gear, all i am saying is that if you want to post a item for a million, then the cost to post should be 100,000 for posting it, if the item sells, the GTN takes there "share" as they do now, and send the rest to you , if the item does not sell, the GTN send the item and your posting credits back, just as it does now, nothing changed, expect the amount it costs to post a item, and the amount you get back should the item not sell. As i said at the bottom of my first post, 10% might be harsh , i used it as a flat rate, you could of course use 5%, then by posting for 1 million credits, it would cost 50,000 to post. if the item did not sell you would get your 50,000 back with the item, but it would prevent people from post outrageous prices, I am sorry if it did not come out clear, i was trying to be friendly, It is not a troll post, it is not meant to upset people, it IS however meant to slow down the ridiculous posts for 50+ million credits for a item, I have bought items for 2-5 million, and i have sold items for 2-5 million, if i believe a item is worth the 5 million i am going to charge for it , i would (personally) have no problem putting up the extra to post it for that, as i know its going to sell. you would not see what you see now on the GTN where you can look up a item and see a page of 50 million to 20 million credits for a item. For example, are you going to honestly tell me that that Unstable Light saber , should be worth a guild ship? Yes its cool, but no, its not worth 50 million, 10 maybe, 5 for sure.. but not 50, the person(s) who post any item for 500 million, or a billion or 50 million, and they are posted them for 1 credit, which they get back, which is why they can do it . I am not attempting to punish people for posting on the GTN, I swear I am not, but I would liek to see people THINK before they toss something up and go , 50 million cuz i want to see if someone actually pays it Again ,very sorry if i communicated the idea, it was not meant to start a knock down drag out
  9. The last part was because I knew the first people to answer would be jumping into flames and screaming when they realize that they might have to spend a bit more. .as well i as knew the same people who are posting for 50 million and such would be the first people to jump and defend there idiocy, You said people can post what they want to period, but it makes no sense to post something for something that you know wont sell, unless of course you are posting that NOT TO SELL, so that your alts can post them under it and make there prices look a bit more "normal" its a old trick used in MMOs since the start of Runescape and its just as dumb as it was then. Put it this way, if you not willing to put 100,000 aside, for a item that you KNOW is gonna sell for a million, is the item worth it? obviously not since you would get your 100k back if the item indeed sold, its only when the item DOES NOT SELL that your 100,000 would be touched. The only people would would be overly upset at this action are people who want to post for outlandish prices, or people who want to try and manipulate the market, for people who post there items at what sells, adding it wont be that big of a deal, Your a Sith I assume since your Greed is strong. that being said, you can call it troll all you want, you can walk away all you want.. the truth is its a smart move, it balances out what people post for making them actually sell items and not simply toss stuff up in the hopes somebody who has no idea what they are doing accidentally buys it. and if you say that never happens ,your wrong If you know something is going to sell for 300,000 , whats the extra 30,000 gonna hurt you? or if you have enough to think your item is really worth 500,000,000 then you have obviously have a lot of experience in the GTN and should have the 50 mil to put away since you KNOW that item is worth it and will sell almost right away. "People who abuse a system, are the first to say nothing needs to be changed" ~ as simple as that
  10. We have all seen it, a new item comes out, its cool, people want it , and the first person to post it on the GTN tosses it up for 500 million credits, its not a sale, no one will buy it , but every two days he does it, pushing the price for a item up, and just annoying people.. wasting our time, and wasting a spot on the GTN that someone could be using I noted this more recently with things, and i know this suggestion will get a lot of flak , but I am going to make it anyway, as i feel it may very well balance the GTN out and in doing so , fix some of the economy of servers, we all know the GTN takes a % of the sale and that is fine and dandy, however i think a 10% holding fee should be required. if you want to post something for 500,000 credits, you put 50,000 in escrow when the item sells, GTN takes there cut from the 500 and you get your 10% returned, if the item does not sell, the GTN takes it % from your "hold fee" and send you the item back with the rest of the funds. Now before you set your hair on fire, or hunt me down with light sabers and pitchforks, think about it for a moment , please. people who post for 50, 60, 100, 500 million credits are not doing it for the cost of a item, they are doing it to be annoying, I have yet to hear one person who bout a 50 million credit item when you can buy a GUILD SHIP for 50 million. however, as many have told me, its there choice. I agree, it should be a "choice" not a "right" most adaptive items go on the GTN for 1 credit. if you sell em for 100 mil or 10 credits, its 1 credit (currently) to post for 2 days. a 10% "Galactic escrow fee" would make people make a choice to post things, especially at the obscenely high prices, 1,2 even 5 million if you think someone will pay 5 million for something you should have no problem dropping the 500,000 credits into a 2 day escrow or less if it sells, 1 million, its 100,000 credits, however, when these people get on and push 50,60 and one item i saw 500,000,000 credits, that's just being dumb, obviously no one is going to buy that, and i think they should have put up the 50 mil and lose a cut of it if they wanna just be a troll about it. all and all the Galactic Escrow Service, will punish the trolls and people posting outlandish prices, way more then the people who post items that sell, or post for decent prices, yes, it will suck that you want to post that item for 2 million , because there are none on the GTN at the moment, and you think you could squeeze just a bit more out, but you don't have the 200,000 to put in escrow. But at the same time, its your "choice" now.. you can choose to post it for 500,000, and sell it , retaining your 50,000 escrow, or you can post outlandishly and maybe lose a percent your 1-200 thousand credits. Obviously we cant stop someone from posting something for a billion, (yes ive seen a 1 billion post) on the GTN, but we can make it harder for people to just troll the GTN, or waste the time of players who seriously are looking for a item, emote, mount, what have you. Maybe 10% is harsh, but it was a flat rate that seemed logical, I know if i have a item id sell for a mil, i would not mind putting up the 100,000 to post it for a million, knowing the item will sell will give my "escrow" back to me anyway. If it doesn't, the GTN takes its cut from my 100,000 and i learn a lesson, the item is not worth a million credits. And now i will lock my doors and hide in my till i see how this is reacted to
  11. At first i wondered if it was the Tattoine SH, but then someone in my guild said the Flagship was having issues as well., i know a few people who said they can't go to tattoine., they try and get to the planet and get kicked outta the game. For some of my chars the /gkick might work, sadly I am the GM and the GM spot guy is "stuck" as well. and yes, I do not know why its talking so long on any response from Swtor, even a "we are looking into it" or something would be useful , as of right now, it just seems that they kinda ignored it. Nice to see that Im not the only one though so its not a isolated case. Thank you for the help on freeing some of my alts though, appericate the help more then you can imagine.
  12. This started yesterday, about 7 am. I attempted to log on my character, and after about five to seven min of a loading screen i was kicked back to the Server Select Screen, and received the error "This character is unavailable due to maintenance" At first I thought it was a normal thing, but reading the forums and looking over i found no alerts or threads suggesting the Ebon Hawk was in maintenance, so i tried a different character. With the same effect, repeating the process with the "Main" characters i play and normally log on to. All seemed to be locked. Finally i called Swtor support - (ticket number 23696221) and was told by the tech that this was a "in-game" issue and that i should try logging into a Republic Character - after successfully getting into one character, I was told that my previous characters, who were logged out in my guild's Stronghold, were most likely "stuck" and to open a ticket in game, and reference this ticket, and should get fixed promptly. This was well over 24 hours ago, Normally this would not be a issue, however - I log most of my characters out in our guild stronghold, so it encompasses nearly ALL my characters that I play, thus I have not really been able to access the game since early Saturday morning, and now though Sunday afternoon, a good chunk of playtime. I find it normally understandable that a issue might take up to 24 hours to fix, but considering the tech had told me it should be solved withing hours, and now its been well over a day, for something he seemed to find to be a simple fix. I have 4 of my 8 characters known to be "stuck" in the Tatooine stronghold. I have received no word on my ticket, or in my email that this is even being worked on, so figured i best post here as well. Without attempting to sound like too much of a "unfriendly" subscriber, I find this lack of help disturbing - had the SWTOR support i talked to not assured me this was more or less a simple issue and at least one or two of my chars should be available in the following hours, i would not be so upset at this. Either the tech on the phone did not understand the issue, or the techs "in game" are having multiple issues like this that need to be addressed, which I would think would prompt a message to stir clear of places this can happen. Either way I am still currently unable to access my characters. Any advice or info would be helpful.
  13. Disclaimer : This is my opinion, I do not speak for anyone other then myself, and nor do i say I am right - I only post what i think. Thank you for your patience.. I play a tank, in full tank gear.. and i do pretty well with it .. and while yes i can see the allure of building a tank that balances that mitigation with damage, allowing you to put out enough damage to be a factor, but still have that tanky-ness that allows you to live longer. But , i think you lose a lot of that teamwork aspect, a tank was designed for mitigation and protection, you put your healer in guard, CC for them , keeping them alive to to do there job. Healing. your DPS classes are what are meant to take people out .. i may not get 50 kills in the War-zone, but i normally hover around 1 maybe 2 deaths, as well as protection, and holding objectives. The idea behind the tank is a support class, your taunts/guard/ccs are designed to take the stress of damage off others, but the trade is that you do less damage, its that "lone wolf" ideology that has come about in most MMO's. I am a Army of One, forget my team, I am the reason we will win or lose this battle, we have all seen them , they are the one at the end of the WZ screaming cuz they have 30 or so kills, but 0 points in objectives and wonder "how could we have lost!" I used to see it a lot in GSF too, back when people actually GSF'd , sorry off topic. For every bump in your damage, you lose that bump in your mitigation, instead of taking on 5 people with your healer, you can now only take 4, or 3, the protection you grant your healer and others is lessened, thus your use is lessened. Maybe in ranked matches where you team is cultivated and built around each other, and they all stick togeather and pick up the slack of each other, this works, but of the people i see in normal, yes, i see juggs that seem to put a bit more damage, but it hasn't seemed to be a huge factor. Again just my 2 cents. Not saying im right , just how I've seen things. ```
  14. Not getting my Arse handed to me, I do just peachy in most PVP thanks. Nor am i debating the fact that PVP and PVE gear should be separate.. I am asking , full expertise, which is a 60% Damage, 35% Dmg Reduction and something liek 20% bonus healing.. and bolster only gives you 50% dmg, 20% Dmg Reduction and 18% healing. whats the point? so they come in raid gear, with 50k hp.. and you come in a raid gear with 50k hp ... and i come in raid gear with 50k hp .. isnt that more balanced them you coming in with 60% bonus dmg, him with 45% and me with 55% ? Just a thought...
