  1. When the game was much younger it was one of the things people including myself appreciated about Ashara. She was a Jedi who slowly came to see the flaws in both the Sith and Jedi teachings, reasoning that there had to be a middle ground. And whilst she has become steadily more dark-sided at times the transition was more gradual than the sudden and rather jarring change of Jaesa. The story of this transition was better overall as well. The SI studied her, manipulated her, preyed on strengths and weaknesses to draw her in. Over time travelling with SI she transitions towards the dark side more and more. Jaesa changed so fast in personality and style that it was like watching a 15-year-old going through an emo phase.
  2. The thing for me is that quote in particular really falls down to being a fundamental lesson. I mean on multiple occasions Baras has stated something to the effect of "I must harness my anger/rage". Indicating that raw anger/rage alone is not enough, that raw power needs a focusing lens. In Thana Vesh's case she has shown several times that she is easily blinded by her anger and rage. In one case she even because of it. I'd say I have seen enough to reach my original conclusion.
  3. For me I viewed this matter from the eyes of another sith warrior - Lord Scourge. "The dark side fed on passion and raw emotion, but it was important to temper it with cold analysis and reason." To me Thana Vesh mastered the former, but failed at the latter. This combined with her reluctance to evolve or adapt in this regard for me spelt the limit of her power.
  4. I mean a chest piece like this: http://tor-fashion.com/rakata-eliminatorcombat-medic-pub/ The only sets that have that same design are Rakata, Columi and Tionese as far as I know. Hence I was wondering if they existed in another form or under another name similar to how the Black Hole gear is the same as the Campaign Gear models. Hence this thread. And sadly it looks increasingly unlikely that this gear exists at all in game
  5. Yeah I already tried this and none of the alternatives really have the same look - specially the chest piece has a unique design. So far the only set that have it are the Rakata and Columi set. Both of which I am informed no longer exist as those sets. What I was wondering was if there was something similar to the Campaign Gear vendors where I can get some of the old pieces. Thanks for the thought. But after coming back I am literally swimming in comms at this point. I have something like 4 with 900-1000 comms each. Hell my commando is only 43 and has hit cap multiple times to the point I have to keep selling mods to get the number down :/ Yeah the black hole gear is still in the game and you can get the same looking gear from the campaign vendor. That's where I got my helm from already But it's the Rakata gear that eludes me still. This is pretty much what I was going to do rather than bother with the juggling of different mod swaps etc.
  6. Hi guys, Recently, returned to the game and was looking to make my Trooper fabulous. I found a set I liked on tor-fashion which basically was made of: Head: Black Hole Boltblaster’s MK-2 Helmet Chest: Rakata Eliminator’s Chestguard Hands: Rakata Eliminator’s Gauntlets Waist: Black Market Med-tech’s MK-1 Belt Legs: Rakata Eliminator’s Greaves Feet: Rakata Eliminator’s Boots Wrists: Black Market Med-tech’s MK-2 Bracers Weapon: Hyperstorm Heavy Cannon Now I already have the weapon so that''s not an issue. I have noticed that several of these sets have since been retired. However, I did find black hole stuff hiding in the form of campaign gear I could buy with commendations. I have not been successful in finding the other pieces - do they still exist in game in some form or are they truly gone? Are there any alternatives for this gear sets (i.e. stuff that looks the same)?
  7. I agree with those saying it was fun the first time around. But after levelling multiple toons you end up doing the same quests with the same story over and over. That is not fun. Personally I have done those side missions so many times I refuse to do them anymore, they literally make me want to stop playing the game. The x12 experience would be the only way I would even consider levelling anything else these days.
  8. I really wish they would just leave the x12 experience on. I have levelled many toons to various levels prior to this buff and I honestly can not bring myself to redo the side quests any more. Particularly since they differ very little between different classes on the same faction.
  9. As the title suggests I am looking for some advice on leveling specs for my sith jugg. Currently torn between going tank spec (immortal) or going vengeance and was hoping to get your opinions on the matter.
  10. I have been wondering this myself lately as another returning Australian player. Having moved my 50 to Master Dar'Nala when the option came up I have found the server to be quite low in population. So I am currently debating doing a reroll on either this server or on The Harbinger in a vain attempt to find some more people But after reading this I reckon I should "do the right thing" and support my fellow aussies ... which then leads to the next question of "Imp or 'Pub?" Are both sides fairly even or does one side have significantly more activity then the other?
  11. Its more that this is a good starting point since based on the ever enlightening post he gave us its highly likely he doesn't have much in terms of fundamentals to fall back on with the class. Saying spec x/y/z tends to work better when the person has some ideas as to what is important to get in that particular tree, to this end a guide from early 1.2 will still provide quite a lot basics and help provide insight into how the spec plays. This is not me trying to have a go at you or anything but rather note that whilst the intentions may be good it doesn't always help without additional knowledge to support it, such as a guide would provide.
  12. You should go to Imperial Fleet when you exit the docking area there will a NPC standing nearby who will give you a quest to speak with you advanced class trainer. When you speak to them it will complete the quest and give you the option to select either marauder or juggernaut, select marauder and understand you can not change this once you have selected an advanced class. Good day to you sir/madam/misc.
  13. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=146169 Page one of the Jugg forums, a topic designed to help you with such questions as what spec for leveling. Took me all of 5 seconds to find it so stop being lazy and investigate the existing resources that are available BEFORE asking such basic questions on the forums. That said feel free to ask a question just try and keep to things your not sure about that you have read up on and seek further clarification on (i.e. make some effort first).
  14. ^ This lol yet people still call me a fotm reroller just cause I decided I wanted a female one rather than a male one OT. I have to say I feel assassins and sorcerers are up there with marauders in terms of numbers. I'd say snipers seem to be the ones who are few in numbers at present, except when I log on mine lol
  15. I know you haven't mentioned it here but have you considered playing an Imperial Agent? They have one the best stories in my opinion with several outcomes for the ending which I always though was pretty cool and well done. Of the two I'd say the SI has a better storyline (it was my first toon as well) simply because it has a "fight your way to the top" feel about it. Sadly the story is a bit plain early on however it does pick up as you go along and becomes quite interesting.
