  1. HARKEN MORTALS! Grim are currently looking for players who are familiar with operations (preferably someone who has done most operation content including the Hard Modes of both Palace and Fortress) and have time to do operations at least a couple of days / week. Having cleared the 8-man HM modes of DF/DP We are currently eyeing the new NiM content for Fortress/Palace, but we do not look exclusively for players who feel that they are ready for NiM content. After all: gear can be earned and skills honed by doing the lower tier operations first, and we plan on continuing with those as well to gear up and help new members. If you are the kind of person who tends to scream a lot in anger when someone messes something up, or spends a lot of time spamming general chat with inane comments, or uses ALL CAPS in warzones, or tends to ragequit a lot then you might not be what we are looking for. On the other hand if you are a mature player with a sense of humour then you should fit right in. We use Mumble for voice chat and it is a requirement for operation participation to be able to use it. Same goes for Parsec. Currently we are running opses on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays (both afternoon and evening) and on some Mondays. As stated above: we prefer if you would be able to do operations on a regular basis. If you are a coalminer who works underground for 9 days at a time then you are most likely not what we are looking for. Check us out on http://grimlegion.enjin.com/ That is all!
  2. Unless i am mistaken the post you linked to seems to contradict what you said yourself; first place is balance, followed by a hybrid and then infiltration, with a dps spread of only 150dps. Not what i would call "quite a bit". for the longer parse there seems to be no difference at all for some reason (perhaps due to the longer execute phase favouring the infiltration spec due to the damage buff for targets below 30+%?). But perhaps you meant only on dps on bosses. In any case i think the deception/infiltration and madness/balance are so close in dps now that it makes very little difference, but i am far from an expert since i only play assassin very very casually.
  3. It is a source of small but constant annoyance that i have to send stuff back and forth between my characters when crafting. Why can't we have a legacy bank tab for crafting materials and un-bound stuff? I would be more than willing to pay creds for that improvement instead of having to log characters back and forth to get stims, stacks of crafting materials and so on. So yeah: a legacy bank tab!
  4. Let me first say that i am enjoying the GSF more and more. I think it has a ton of potential. With that being said i think that the tutorial that is supposed to teach you the basics misses the mark on many points. The problem with GSF as opposed to "regular" pvp is that the player has no base knowledge of how things work. If you level up a sorc and decide to try pvp at level 14 for the first time you will most likely be pretty bad at it. However, you will not be bad due to being unused to the controls of your character. You will already have a grip on how to run, jump and turn, and you know how to target people and so on. GSF on the other hand is a new thing. I think that most players who tries GSF and after 4 matches says "it is a piece of crap" and stop playing it does so out of frustration. Just as there are those who always quit huttball. The tutorial should cover AT LEAST the basics: A mock-chase with a moving object. Also being chased by a moving object that tries to lock-on missiles. A better tutorial for how to use the camera to center on your target, how to identify who is shooting at you and so on. How accuracy within your firing arc works. How the different abilities work and what terms like "evasion" or "cloaking" means. You should have the option to fly all 3 types of ship to get a feel for them. I am not at all saying that it is impossible to learn "on the job" so to speak, but i do think that more players would enjoy their experience if they felt more prepared. It also has the benefit of helping the team the new players end up in. Just as in pvp (where there should be a tutorial for how to guard a node i think since that seems to be an alien concept for many) the more enjoyable the first impressions are the more likely it is that a player comes back for more. And more regular participants is a net gain for everyone.
  5. A Tank, a healer and a dps wanted! Grim Legion is currently looking to expand our raid member pool with a tank, a healer and a dps. Does diving headlong into a rat-infested sewer sound like something you want to do? Do you wish to test your own survivability against some abomination from the pits of hell? Do you enjoy abuse and injury? Then we are sure you have the right mindset to join our operations! We want people who are easy-going, has at least some knowledge about the different operations and has the survival instincts of a small rodent. If that sounds like yourself, then do not hesitate to apply! Do not worry if you do not have gear for HM ops, we do SM ops as well to gear members up! Feel free to check us out on http://grimlegion.enjin.com/
  6. As a member of a guild that has a lot of pvp activity both in the 10-49 and 50 brackets i can only say that when i team with guildies i PREFER to play against other premades, it is more fun if the match is a close one after all. The worst games are those where you instantly get the feeling that your opponents give up, quit and so on. Contrary to popular belief it is not much fun playing matches and winning huge over and over against opponents that has no chance of winning. It gets old really quick. And there is ofc bad premades vs good PUGs, i have seen plenty of those. I often get the feeling that players give up too soon when they see a premade on the opposing side if they do not have one of their own. That is unfortunate. I have won plenty of games with PUG's against premades - not all premades are good. I think quite often it is just a bunch of guildies who decides to get the daily done together socially. Those teams can routinely be beat by a team of randoms with some good players. Personally i would like the game to match premades against each other as a first priority. I have no idea if the game already does that, some ppl says it does, others that it doesn't. I would be willing to accept some kind of bolster bonus to opposing teams that are completely PUG vs team with premade, extra rewards for playing a game even if you lose or even that they could get an extra player or something. A separate queu for the premades would also be ok with me, and apart from fears of long waiting times i can't really see a problem with that. That would ofc "punish" the "casual" premades, those who play very occasionally but somewhere along the line someone has to get the ugly end of the stick anyway i guess.
  7. As someone who does both pvp and pve content on several characters i would love to se some kind of "quick equip"-slots in my inventory. I would like to put all my pvp armor in those slots, together with weapon, relics and so on. Then with the click of one button i would equip the pvp gear and all the pve gear ends up in those slots. After i am done with the pew-pew i can then do the same to equip back to raiding gear in just one click. It is a minor issue perhaps, but a nice quality-of-life thing that would make my day a little bit more enjoyable!
  8. Now first of all i KNOW You have a twitter feed. I subscribe to it. But i wonder who the heck you have managing that account because you are really really bad at using it. Twitter is a fast and simple way to communicate with your customers. Most other companies i have in my twitter feed are quick to send out messages with news that affect their customers. Such as websites being down, server functionality or services being unavailable and what steps are being taken to correct them, estimated ETA and so on. You on the other hand almost never do. It happens sometimes, but very rarely. I have yet to see a single tweet adressing issues with my server, even when there has been crashes, unavailable login servers or similar. When The Red Eclipse suffered problems earlier tonight you COULD have sent a simple message saying that there were problems, and that certain services was unavailable, but as usual you did not. Then later, when it once again became possible to log on, you COULD have sent a tweet saying that "you can now log in on The Red Eclipse again". It would have been so simple. What is the point of you being on twitter if you don't know how to use it effectively? Sending out tweets asking for our favourite companion is pretty useless compared to actually give updates on problems with the service. Even your "SERVERS ARE UP" messages are usually late. Once the person that has the stranglehold on your twitter account gets around to actually using it to send that simple message the servers have already been up for a while. The person who is responsible for your twitter feed should be taught about how it works and should be trained to manage to send out a 140 character message in under 15 minutes. I know it can be done, since others do it. I think that the rule of thumb should be "if a problem affects a couple of hundred customers it might be a good idea to spend 1 minute to say something about it", especially if you ALREADY POSTED ABOUT IT ON THE FORUM! Just give the guy posting on the customer service page a phone! They are cheap! And you can have twitter on them! OR BETTER YET: you COULD actually just COPY AND PASTE the message you wrote on the forum STRAIGHT INTO THE TWITTER FEED using your computer!!! Amazing, isn't it? This is turning into a rant, and it isn't a big deal for most perhaps but I just loathe ineffective customer service. Seriously to whoever is managing the twitter account: start using it for something else than asking questions about our "favourite NPC quote".
  9. After playing hours and hours of warzones i have come to loathe the intro cinematics for voidstar and novare coast. It is not a big deal to spacebar past them the first 100 times or so, but a small annoyance will become a big one if it is repeated over and over. Please, for the love of god let us check a box saying "skip warzone cinematics" in our preferences menu! It is such an easy thing to remove, and i bet the not a single person would complain if you removed them completely after you had seen them the first time. Same goes for the voices in the novare coast wz (i have posted about this before). Having the constant "you are damaging the enemy bunker, well done" repeating every few seconds is truly horrible. It is a mental chinese water torture with every meaningless comment grating on my mind until i feel like just muting all sounds just to get rid of it. Having the voice say "the enemy has captured the southern emplacement" is more helpful since it actually helps to make you aware of something happening, so that is fine. The civil war wz is a good example of how the voiceover should be used, having the constant mindless yapping in novare is a perfect example of how it shouldn't be.
  10. I find it strange that after removing the agent/smuggler laughter and ship droid chatter due to the fact that they drove players insane with rage from sound fatigue you chose to infuse the new WZ with an insane ammount of annoying voiceovers. Hearing the same voice (female for sith, no idea what the reps are hearing) blabbing CONSTANTLY for the entire duration of the game almost makes me want to /leave the wz just to make it stop. It wouldn't be so bad if it was an occasional thing, but hearing the pointless comments every ten seconds is just terrible. The Huttball commentary can be somewhat annoying, but not nearly as bad. Please, for the love of god make it possible to mute the VO for the new WZ, or at least make sure it isn't a non-stop talk-fest the entire match.
  11. There are two types of complaints: destructive and constructive. As long as someone posts a complaint without resorting to the rage /quit tantrum then i am absolutely fine with it. The problem is mostly with those who behave like children . There is a vast difference between saying "i want to be able to scale the windows any way i see fit, please fix that BW" and saying "****!!! The stupid windows can't be rezised!!!! omg, i am unsubscribing right now because of this epic fail!! OMG!!!" The original post above is an absolutely fine post imo, not rude or condescending. No threats of rage /quit or anything else. Kudos to you for that. I only hope that others might follow that example.
  12. Brilliant post! You could basically cut-and-paste parts of it as a response to 80% of all complaints.
  13. I totally agree with ominousz post above. I can remember a certain other mmo that had enormous problems with bugs for months after launch, lagginess pvp inbalance and so on, and that particular game went on to be the most successful mmo ever. You have to be prepared for some rough edges in the first few months. If you feel the product does not deserve your money then take it elswhere. I for one am happy with the game overall even though some aspects should be taken care of asap.
