  1. In the Umbara SH, there's a chair in the front of the train labeled "Conductor's Chair"... Not to be nit-picky, but the Conductor isn't who drives a train... That would be the "Engineer"... The conductor is the one who manages the crew, cargo, and passengers.
  2. Apparently, your Tuesdays aren't much better.
  3. I've noticed that some of the load-screen "tips" are now obsolete since 5.0... One that caught my attention mentioned something about earning warzone comms by queuing for PVP matches and using those comms to purchase weapons, enhancements, consumables and supply packs ... not entirely accurate anymore... Might wanna go through the load-screen tips and re-assess their accuracy, relevance, and overall helpfulness. Most veteran players don't even acknowledge the load-screen text anymore - but newer players might be confused or mislead by out-dated info... (plus, it wouldn't hurt to add some additional tips for 5.0... like how obnoxious the CXP grind is.. or how irrelevant Ops Prog is.... or how it's normal to open 20 or more Command Crates before receiving a useful piece of gear.... tips like those would at least inform the newer players what sort of frustration they can look forward to)
  4. One of the multibomb issues our group has consistently encountered happens when a series of bombs gets applied to the group, and most - if not ALL - of the bombs have unusually long timers on them... like 30 seconds and higher. So when most of the group has bombs with 30-40 second timers, it's pretty much assured that they won't expire until the next round of bombs go out, and that means multibombs for many of us... We've learned that the best way to manage this is to force-detonate several of the bombs early by deliberately running into each other (pop defensives and hydraulic overrides beforehand)... that way, we can clear enough of those long-duration bombs before the next round comes out, and avoid getting multiples. Still, there are other issues with the bomb mechanic that are harder to manage - like when a player has a single bomb debuff, but when the timer expires and the bomb detonates, they are hit by more than one explosion... basically, it appears to be a normal single bomb, but multiplies upon detonation, inflicting unexpectedly heavy damage... Both of these issues seem totally separate from the problems that arise from too much DPS... (and we've tested this: we've gimped our DPS and just let the boss send out one wave of bombs after another, and inexplicably, he will apply a set of bombs with outrageously long timers... I mean, RNG aside, why is there even a possibility for a 45 second bomb timer?)
  5. It's possible that as the playerbase dwindles, the spammers comprise an increasingly significant portion of the game's subscribers...
  6. Yeah, seems to be a problem across most (if not all) of the servers.. also, there's a way to fix your menu.. go into the interface editor and you can move the cartel market and pack-viewer icon object away from your standard menu bar... that's what i had to do.
  7. Why is there a "Community Tour Registration" link on the menu bar? The most recent event it displays was October 2015 - almost a YEAR ago.... Come on, if there are no upcoming events to announce, get rid of that link. (Or, give me the login info and I'll take care of it for you.)
  8. Nice, I hope Boston is on the itinerary. The last Boston Cantina was cancelled due to Snowmageddon 2015.
  9. I have a few hundred Augmentation Slot Component MK-8's left over - is there any way to convert these to MK-9s, short of crafting them into MK-8 kits and then swapping them at the vendor?
  10. In the 'Guild' tab of the social window, why not add a new column (or drop-down option) for "Legacy Surname"? This would provide the capability to recognize whose alts are whose, at a glance, without having to waste space in the Member Notes just to specify "So-And-So's Alt"... Of course, I realize that legacy surnames aren't necessarily unique, but still, this would be a very helpful data-column to have available in the guild-roster interface.. also, it's something that would be populated automatically when a player joins, greatly reducing the amount of time gms and officers need to spend maintaining their rosters. Furthermore, how about an additional data-field for each member's entry in the roster that shows one or more different icons to denote things like: dps, tank, heals, pvp, HM ops, etc... This would provide group leaders with a simple visual indication of each member's role, play-style, ops capability, etc. Also, increase the maximum guild rank slots... I'd be happy with at least 15 - that would give me a lot more flexibility... 10 slots just isn't enough. One other thing worth mentioning is the Key Interface for strongholds - this thing is just plain godawful. Nothing worse than trying to issue a stronghold key to a certain member, and having to scroll through 40-something pages of member names to find them... no way to sort, and no way to search... and to make things even more irritating, when you mouse-over the 'Next' arrow at the bottom, the stupid unnecessary tooltip pops up and obscures the bottom name on each page... ridiculous. If anything, get rid of that whole interface, and just integrate the stronghold key-sharing function into a Right-Click menu-based system that can be accessed from the guild roster page, the who page, the friends list, or right-clicking the player's name in the target portrait or raid-frames. One last request: can we PLEASE have the ability to convert a party to an ops group while in a guild stronghold? I'm sure we're not the only ones frustrated by having to zone out of the guildship every time we try assemble an ops group. You all know the routine: "Okay, gonna start forming this raid group... someone leave the flagship so I can invite...."
  11. 1. When trying to form Ops group, we're usually hanging out on the guild ship - but as we start sending group invites, the first 2 people people in group have to exit the guildship before the group can be converted into an Ops group - cuz the ship is an instanced area, and for some reason, you can't convert a regular group into an Ops group while in an instance. 2. Ever notice how how mounting and unmounting while using an active companion causes a the the graphics to hitch for like half a second? If you've never noticed, check it out: there's a tiny framerate hang right at the moment when your mount appear/disappears... But here's the weird thing: DISMISS your companion, and try mounting/unmounting again.. the framerate hang is gone. 3. Oh, and speaking of companions: When using your shipboard Target Dummy (with heath and armor debuffs), have you noticed that sometimes after you kill him, and you try to target him again to do do another parse, and a few seconds later, it will reset and un-target... this will keep happening until you zone out of your ship, and then back in again... but still, if you debuff the dummy, and kill him again, it starts doing the same crap... Here's the trick: make sure you don't have any companions running crew-skills .. cancel their missions and crafting queues before you enter your ship... and NOW you can kill the dummy over and over again without him resetting/evading 7 seconds after you re-target him. 3. I haven't had this one happen in a while, but it used to get me at least one a day: The Mail-Bomb... open your mail-box, click on a message and --- pause -- CRASH TO DESKTOP. I'll post more later...
  12. I'm sure I'm not the only one with a handful of toons (17 to be exact)... so at 1800cc per character, i'm looking at around 30500 cc, or at least $240, to transfer all my toons. Nevermind the in-game investments that do not transfer, like cargo expansions, or my guild's flagship, decos, and bank. I'm not sure if personal stronghold unlocks and deco's transfer, but if not, that's another significant sacrifice for many players too. So, why should anyone be inclined to spend possibly hundreds of REAL dollars AND forfeit a substantial investment of in-game currency in an attempt to address this problem? The burden of fixing it should be on the devs and admins, not the players. Why should we sacrifice what we've worked so hard for, and line their pockets with CC purchases just to fix something that isn't our fault or responsibility? I dunno what the best solution to this problem is, all I know is that it shouldn't have to cost us so damn much -- hasn't the PROBLEM cost us enough already!
  13. I've been noticing that when I tab-out and type something (in a browser, for example), as soon as I tab back to the game, the keys I had pressed trigger and stick, as though they were still being pressed. So when I return to the game, my character suddenly starts running or strafing, and various game windows open (inventory, crew skills, etc). It's as though every keystroke while I was tabbed-out is carried over into the game - activated all at once, as soon as I switch back - and they are stuck in that triggered state until I hit the key again. For example, I'm tabbed-out of the game right now, if I type "wasdwasdwasd" - and when I switch back to game, I find myself spinning and strafing.... then I press 'wasd' in game, and it fixes it. This is not consistently repeatable. Sometimes it sticks, sometimes it doesn't, even if the same sequence of keystrokes is used. I've been experimenting to try to isolate the issue, but it's still a mystery. Most of the time, it's just an nuisance that requires me to stop my random sudden movement and close all the in-game random windows that popped up - but other times, I've been responsible for wiping the raid because I tabbed-out to check a webpage or something before a boss-fight, and when I tab back, I inadvertently end up running forward into the boss, or activating one of the abilities that are bound to my F, R, C, or V keys. Anyway, I'm running Win8.1, using a Logitech G710+ keyboard and G602 mouse with the latest drivers. And this problem happens in both Fullscreen, and Fullscreen (Windowed) mode. I have NOT had this issue in any other game except SWTOR.
  14. Beyond the simple annoyance of having to report/ignore another perpetrator every so-often, and beyond the theoretical impact on the currency and in-game economy - what about the simple fact that this activity violates the Terms of Service and Rules of Conduct set forth by Bioware/EA itself? Shouldn't such a continuous and flagrant disregard of the game's fundamental rules warrant a response? And how hard would it be to implement some sort of response? Start with targeting accounts that have been reported for spam... ban those accounts, as well as the IPs from which they are accessed. Limit the chat capabilities of new f2p players below a certain level... Incorporate a way for players to turn Cartel Coins into in-game credits.... etc. Failure to take even the most basic action against these spammers suggests that the developers don't care whether these overseas sweatshops exploit the game's system (and players) for real-world profit.
  15. Personally, I have successfully reversed a few of my knives... specifically, the "Vibroknife of Nimble Riposte" (lvl 17) ... Got an "Overkill Vibroknife of Nimble Riposte"... also the "Silent Warden's Blade" (lvl 33) yielded an "Overkill" version, as well... From the "Vibroknife of Dire Triage" (lvl 37) I got a "Redoubt" AND an "Overkill" version... and the lvl50 "Watchful Blade's Vibroknife" reversed into a "Redoubt".... I haven't tried going to the next tier with any of them... but trust me, guys, it CAN be done.
