  1. GymQuirk, Tovex, and Vactus, thank you all for the response. As an EU newb, this is all very exciting for me, lol. I've got a list of books and grahpic novels to track down now. Again, thanks to everyone in this thread, I think I've got the info I need, I knew this great players like yourselves would step up. Now, if you'll excuse me I've got some book orders to place! May the Force be with you, always.
  2. Hello ghoast, Not sure if this is the correct forum for a technical question like this. However I'll try to answer as best I can. SWTOR was created using the Hero engine, which is only currently supported on Windows platforms. Therefor I do not forsee a native Mac client at any point in the near future. 3. Wow, thanks Spencer_ and Inzuher! Fantastic suggestions. I was overwhelmed but going off what you guys have said, aided by the mighty google, I've got a handle on the EU stuff I believe. Once again thank you, and Merry Life Day to you all!
  4. Thanks for the reply Kilikaa, Ah yeah Darth Bane, the "Rule of 2" guy haha. Well that' sounds like an excellent starting point to me! I also did not even consider the role of comics/graphic novels, I'll look further into that. Again, thanks for the jumping off points.
  5. Greetings, I was a casual Star Wars fan. Now however, after spending many hours with SWTOR and watching what, is in my opinion, the fantastic Clone Wars series I'm interested in delving deeper into the expanded universe. After bumbling around the internet and coming across Darth Talon, Darth Krayt, and the whole New Jedi Order time setting, I come before you, the greater Star Wars community, to seek advice on where to start in terms of the books? Is there a chronological order anywhere of the whole New Jedi Order book series? Does such a series exist? I'm mostly interested in Darth Krayt and Talon. Where should I start for those two? I'm tried a little research myself but became a little lost, so I thought I'd turn to the source itself for answers. My fellow Star Wars fans who are steeped far deeper in Lore than I. Thanks in advance!
  6. Yes, I agree with you. I did not appreciate this game either I left like alot of people during the mass exodus after it's initial first few months. I came back when F2P was announced, saw the improvments that had been made and decided to trust in the dev teams vision and resubbed. I am glad I did worth every penny to me now.
  7. I enjoy the class storylines, It's nice to have some choice when completing a quest, even if the major outcomes are pre-determined, the illusion of choice is still appreciated. It is Much more satifying then reading some bland text about why I need to go kill 5 robots or something. I also really enjoy the PVP. At low levels and at level cap. I'm not much for the Operations, not my thing, but I find the flashpoints fun to do as well. Now I know this might be an unpopular view, but I LOVE the space missions as well. I know, I know, "Star Fox Wars" isn't for everyone but I really like them. Call me simple or easily amused but I enjoy that I can load up my ship with mods and parts and get "cinematic" space fight experience with minimal time investment. I don't want to sound like a total fan-boy, I'm not. For all the things I love there are also a bunch of things I'd like to see changed or added but they mostly boil down to personal preference and as such are subjective. As an example I'd really like to be able to filter what Warzones I queue up for...sometimes I get tired of Huttball, just like everyone else. Lol. What do you like or really dislike? It's discussions like these that hopefully the devs will consider when the time comes to add or change things. All we can do is trust in the process.
  8. Greetings, Just wanted to give a legitimate thanks to the devs, servers admins, and all staff on this, the eve, of Life Day. I'm really enjoying the game now that I have returned and look forward to what you will do with it in the future! Honestly, thank you for creating an entertaining game for me to spend some time with friends and foes alike! Amid the holiday hustle and bustle, just wanted to say thanks, I appreciate the work you guys do and have a merry Life Day! (Also, I'm aware that the servers/login isn't working, at the moment, but it's the 24th of December and just wanted to give a shout out to the poor soul who's going to get called in to fix it.)
  9. Shout out to the Sys Admin that had to respond to this! Or at least to the UPS device that made sure nothing blew up! Thanks, and remember, Peace is a lie.
  10. Hahah, Nice. Does anyone know where this Server is hosted? I guess no off-site back ups or redundancies.
  11. Indeed Sir, you are correct. I do pronounce Roof as...Roof, however. Not as Ruff/Rough. I have heard 'Mericans say it like that before.
  12. I get the feeling some poor Bioware/EA server admin is about to have his Holiday ruined.
  13. Oh my, you don't prescribe to the percieved Canadain life style, you know we're not actually a frozen wasteland. Well you, Sir, have just gained +1 respect, eh. Now enough Jibber-Jabber, bring back the server!
  14. Haha, well technically speaking it's pronounced "eh" I dunno, guess this gives me an excuse to step outside my Igloo.
  15. Nooo! How can the server hate me? I'm Canadian!
