  1. BTW it's not just 12 gigs there's at least another 10+ gigs of patches... So you're telling me that even though I downloaded these files when I reinstalled the game a few months back that they are not on my system? Wow used to keep the patch files and if something like this happened it would just use the local files to reinstall. You guys have been around for almost 2 years and this isn't fixed or implemented? Seriously? That's some ghetto programming on your end or just a who gives a F__K attitude on your part.
  2. If this wasn't annoying enough the patcher just got finished re downloading the game went through the install and now it's re downloading the 12 gigs again. Excellent... So if this ever finishes am I going to have to reset up all my key bindings and custom ui for all my toons as well? BW you guys should be ashamed... You could have easily fixed this with just releasing the damn patch early and said because we appreciate you supporting our company and game we decided to release the patch early. But, I guess that's not the way things are handled at EA or BW. Make the people that pay the bills put up with your incompetence because your EA damnit you know we will buy your games as your lovely CEO told us. No attempt at PR on this just one short message from probably a intern.
  3. Teambff... I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan ever since I saw the first one in the theater and on top of that I'm a huge MMO fan I played WOW since day one up until last year where I gave Rift a try. At the time I knew I was going to play this game and have waited as long as you other faithful Star Wars / MMO / BW fans. I was so stoked when this game was announced and waited patiently but anxiously for it's release. I joke around about you homers but you guys really stuck it to anyone that had any criticism about this game. The way I always looked at it was am I getting what I paid for? If you read my posts you can see what my consensus was. Anyhow, I cannot bash you for your love of Star Wars because like I said when it comes to Star Wars I'm just as big of a homer. Sadly that's what companies like EA and BW feed off of and pay their bills with... In this case they might not even pay the bills. I have never been a angry person unless I feel like I've been ripped off and once that happens look out. But again nothing personal to true Star Wars fans. Just next time you play a game instead of ripping the snot out of anyone who posts something that's critical maybe take a step back and look at the big picture.
  4. 1. Your support system stinks... If it's broke blame it on the players hardware when there's countless threads describing the same issue. Have a valid complaint or problem and spend the time to create a in game ticket or post in the forums to only have either a cookie cutter response and a closed ticket (with no help or knowledge from a actual person) or the thread closed with the same cookie cutter response. Above all you should extend a helping hand and make your player base feel like you actually care! 2. Everything that has come out or will come out up to 1.3 should have been in the release version as promised. Instead we beta test a game for 5 months and still the stuff that was supposed to be in 1.0 is still not in game or broke. Legacy still isn't done? Promises, promises and still waiting lol. 3. Your failure to acknowledge low server populations is a joke. Our servers been dead for months and we couldn't find any quality players to add to our guild to replace the countless we lost (to other games) other than players that were kicked out of other guilds for various reasons. 4. Your end game gear designs are terrible and your failure to allow rakata mods to carry over set bonuses because of either laziness on your development teams part or just sheer arrogance was a big mistake. Why even raid to get black hole gear if you can only wear one piece in order to not lose the set bonus? What is the fn point? Maybe if the stats were way better than rakata it would be viable but in most cases they were worse. So you're thinking is get your player base to grind and grind to get nothing in return? Clasic. In the meantime Cybertech is useless which you could have improved by letting us make mods equivalent to rakata or black hole with set bonuses so at least we could make and sell or give mods to guildies / players. Just piss poor planning and inability to think beyond the box. 5. The sound glitch has been around since 1.2 and still nothing done about it. We put up with SOA being broke for months. You continually release updates that break things that worked fine. You wait until a major patch to fix broken parts of the game instead of throwing us a bone in the meantime. You really couldn't have put some of the (pages of) "fixes" in before 1.2? I mean stuff that people were complaining about since the release? Again, blame it on the players and then later admit it was a issue on your part. That's not the way you treat paying customers. I've voiced my concerns / advice multiple times up here since launch and either the thread was closed or just fell into the abyss with not one response. I've asked for help multiple times and it fell on deaf ears. When I did get a response it was the same one "check future patch notes" or sorry your 10 grand computer isn't good enough to play this game and eventually you told me you don't support a mac (cop out). I find this laughable because for one this is the only game I've ever had problems with and secondly my computer has a intel chip set which is rated more than double what your game requirements suggest is suitable for playing this god awful game. You're planning from day one has been flawed. From the let them sit in front of their computer for 3-4 days to get in pre release without any info to when we would be able to load the game to not having everything installed that was promised before the release. You guys keep talking about how your future releases are going to be so great with all these new features which should have been in game from the get go is a slap in the face to someone that paid 3 months in advance. 1 month of free play isn't going to cut it you should refund us our money period. I did not sign up to pay to beta test. False advertising on your part! I used to love your games but I will never buy another one. This game, DA2 and ME3 hammered the nail in that coffin! You went from making quality games to being more concerned about making a buck. Good luck in the future because everyone in my guild and friends list have all said the same exact things. We all moved on to other games and the only reason I came up here to write this was because you pissed me off so much since I bought this game I love reading the negative threads. It makes me chuckle and brings some closure to feeling ripped off. Call it a form of entertainment in itself and it's about the only entertainment I've gotten from this game. The only reason I played this game was because I paid for it and a 3 month sub. While I did I kept hoping you guys would change your ways and give us what we waited 3 years for. Sadly you didn't. I hope you guys lose your pants and take EA with you!
  5. I'm writing this to tell you (BW) why I will never buy another one of your products. First of all your support is garbage and a disgrace. Never willing to help, always saying the problems I've had were with either my computer or mouse. The final straw with support was you telling me you don't support my system because it's running on bootcamp. Which is a complete joke because every other company that I bought games from have never told me that before. Your glitches in this game are laughable at this point with the last straw (concerning glitches) was the sound glitch since 1.2 and long load times. Four weeks into 1.2 and you still have not fixed the sound issue? The camera glitch has been around since day one and still no fix? Again laughable. Finally your insistence on making your player base pay for a beta game is what eventually will be your downfall. Good luck trying to feed off of peoples love of Star Wars and think that's enough to keep them loyal to your game. Our entire guild is pretty much quitting the game and moving on to another MMO. Your servers are ghost towns and really made it nearly impossible to recruit more players to our guild. The only ones left on our servers to invite are the dbags that got kicked out of other guilds for pissing people off. If I can offer any advice from a person who used to work in the game industry is to make sure your player base feels like you actually give a care about them and make them feel like your doing your best to fix glitches, create content and give some date ranges instead of "soon". If I were you I would fire your support team lead and hire more qualified programmers to fix your worthless game engine. Your people in house obviously haven't a clue. To all the people that flame this post really think about this... Are you getting what you were sold from before release yet? Do you feel like BW actually cares when you submit a ticket? if so then good luck to you if not then stop letting them take advantage of your loyalty to Star Wars.
  6. I sure wouldn't push out a unfinished product that would have a chance at pissing off players whom I would be counting on to make back my investment.
  7. 5+ years to reprogram a already built game engine and create a story / environment (a lot already conceptualized) with a huge team of people and a 150-200 mil budget should have resulted in a more finished final product. Just saying... BTW I'm not belittling the people that worked on the games effort I just think they fell way short with the resources they had. And we as players are paying for it.
  8. Umm I was quoting the person that called me a liar. lol
  9. No I'm a 3d animator and designer I don't think that game stop has those positions available. As far as the games you mentioned I can't really compare those to anything since I never plan on playing them. But, if they're not complete at launch then sure people should be upset. What I can tell you is for the games I was a part of I slept on the floor, in my chair, was up for days to complete them on time. I've worked on commercials, movies ect where we didn't see our own bed for weeks at a time to make sure the product met the deadline and was complete. It's called "high standards". So I have little patients for products and companies that fall short. I also don't appreciate paying for something that falls short of expectations. When wow came out sure there were issues... But, that was a first time deal meaning there was nothing like it and Blizzard gave players that stuck through it game time and character rest time ect... This game had a few models to follow and improve on. It's not ground breaking by any means. Is it cool? Sure there's lots of things this game has that makes it stand out but seriously nothing revolutionary that they couldn't have had all their ducks in a row for launch. Heck, even if it was a couple weeks after launch it wouldn't be a big deal but it's going on 4 months lol...
  10. I worked in the game industry and I know about deadlines. MMOs should not get a pass. I find it really interesting and quite comical how some of you stick up for this game like I just called your mother a ______. We did not get what we paid for period... You can try to sugar coat it all you want and tell anyone that disagrees with you to just leave but the fact of the matter is it should have been a complete game experience at launch with just content and minor bug fixes from their on out.
  11. I 100% agree with you on that! It's still no excuse for them not to do something about it.
  12. If I'm not mistaken we paid full price for the game. And, a monthly sub. A company like BW should have hit their deadline for release. If you call a 1/2 finished game a "win" then have at it man.
  13. "Don't tell me you didn't know what you were getting for your $$$, because that's a damned lie and everyone knows it" OK... sure we have a difference of opinion. Anyhow, to each their own I didn't expect everyone to agree with me. But, what I do know is pretty much everyone in my guild and on my friends list all said the same things. I'm just throwing it out there for discussion and hopefully some sort of response by BW.
  14. I never played the beta and when I paid for the 3 months it was right after the release because I had faith in BW from past gaming experiences. Call me a sucker but not a lier. Anyhow, you all can flame all you want but IMO all your doing is letting BW know it's ok to rip off people because you're stuck in the mentality that just because of the SW content it's ok to charge people to beta test or pay for a unfinished product. My hard earned money is worth more to me than that...
  15. Sorry but I don't like the way BW has been selling us on this big patch like it's a content upgrade when it really should have been in the launch of the game. Most of the features / fixes should have been implemented from the get go. I'm beginning to feel like I paid for 3 months of beta testing. Anyone who flames this posting should really take a step back and think for a min. Yes, I've been through a couple other big MMO releases but this one is different. Take CyberTech for an example. Three months it took them to put our rare item in game to make things that we by now already have from doing FPs and OPs. EV is still broken and HMs just now started dropping the right loot (sort of). A developer at the conference was surprised (himself) that there was no "ready check" already in game. The /roll feature took 3 months, quests are still broken, the Legacy system isn't in game yet which was advertized to be ready for release ect ect. So what is BW going to do for all of us that have paid for a game that isn't as advertized? In the "real world" if you purchase something and you find it's not what was advertised you bring the item back. I paid for 3 months right off the bat because I always loved BW games and thought this game was a slam dunk because of BW and the content. Well I'm feeling a bit ripped off at this point. Maybe by the end of my 3 months the content I paid for will be in game... Maybe not who knows at this point. What's BW going to do about this? So far all they've done is offer up a "founders title". If I bought a car and when I got it home found out the brakes didn't work, the fuel line was not connecting the engine to the tank and the seats were missing I'd be a little PO'ed if all they offered me was a new hood ornament. That's essentially what they've done. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. People in my guild and on our server all have reflected the same concerns as well as a laundry list of others. So what are you going to do BW?
