  1. Err...that can't be right. The one PvP match I got that wasn't Huttball was the one with the barrier that wipes every few minutes, and there was a Jedi ( I assume Jedi, he didn't look Sith-y ) using one lightsaber that was just cleaning house, so I made it my mission to lock onto him whenever possible and I distinctly remember his level being 35. That's one of the things that irked me, because that level difference was allowing him to hit me for over 8k consistently. He had like 3-times more kills than anyone else, too, so he got all my stickies whenever I tabbed to him.
  2. Ahh...I am, indeed missing quite a few slots. Appreciate the tip, I'll go trade in some warzone coms and get those slots filled. I'd have no issue being killed by a 50, it's the guys that are just 8-10 levels over me curb stomping me that bothers me so. But still, appreciate the the help.
  3. So I was here at beta and launch and played pretty extensively for a year or so before I got lost my security key and just walked away from it, and recently decided to come back and give it a whirl again. Obviously a lot has changed, and my original account was, unfortunately, hacked into and everything wiped. ( So yeah, i couldn't get into my account without a key or faxing my ID to the company, but this didn't stop the hackers. But whatever. ) One of the things I used to enjoy most in SWTOR was the PvP, but I'm finding it a bit different now. 1) How exactly does the 'bolster' or whatever they call it work? I remember being able to do decent even as a lowbie and scaled when they first added it, but now my DPS is a joke. I've got a 21 Tactics Vanguard, and I can pull off 2k damage tops it seems against most enemies even with my CD and bursts, but I'm constantly being hit, with normal rotation abilities, for 5-7k by higher levels. I get destroyed, and feel like my only contribution at this level is a weak aoe knockback and my cryo grenade. 2) This is a legit question...did the community SERIOUSLY ask for another Huttball map? Did we really want it so bad that the devs made one, or did they simply decide on their own to introduce another map of the worst PvP scenario ever to grace an MMORPG? As if it wasn't bad enough constantly queueing ONLY Huttball whenever I try to PvP, the first time I saw this new map I was all 'oh good, it's not Huttball' only to find out it was, infact, Huttball. Why would anyone want more of this mode, and WHY have they not moved it out of rotation and made it ranked or pre-made groups only? As a solo player, there is absolutely no reason or fun to be had with that PvP mode. 3) I used to enjoy PvP, especially with my original Commando, but with nothing but nonstop Huttball it's starting to wear thin. Is there a specific day or time ( EST servers ) where people queue up enough so we get rotation? Appreciado.
  4. The Inquisitor spaceship is actually my favorite design out of all of them. o_o
  5. For the love of God and all that is holy, PLEASE take Huttball out of PvP rotation! If you let us queue for specific matches, it wouldn't be a problem. If you let us BLACKLIST one or two match types, it wouldn't be a problem. But being forced into this *********** match, over and over again is just KILLING my desire to PvP. And it's not like you don't have enough other match-types to allow us to blacklist either, especially with the adition of Arena 4v4 matches. From what i can tell, the population is devided into 2 types when it comes to Huttball. 1) Those that enjoy Huttball purely to play Huttball. 2) Those who hate it. Take it out, make it a seperate entity apart from PvP queue rotations, I doubt anyone will complain. Not to say you shouldn't earn PvP rewards for playing it. Hell, you could do Huttball League Championships or something every few months, put in Huttball-themed cosmetic items to trade in for League points. Jerseys, Huttball-specific emotes and equipment. There's a whole different game you can center around this one activity, but just TAKE IT OUT OF PVP ROTATION!! Speaking only for myself, obviously, it is the single biggest waste of 10 minutes I could possibly fathom in this game. I would rather cruise the Taris landscape than play Huttball, but for some reason I queue it 2/3 of the time I try to get my PvP dailies / weeklies in. And I know, while I might be the most vocal, I'm not the only one who loathes it, as people often agree with me as I sit and watch the clock, waiting for it to end. ANY fix is a good fix, just don't make me have to play this gorram game!
  6. Well, ideally as a DPS Sorc you'd use a tank, or I'm sure that's what they had planned. However the tank companions are too wimpy, and I spend too much time having to heal them, so I realized DPS companions are actually more fun and work better. You both unload, typically with the Sorc getting aggro and keeping bubble and the instant self-heal ready, and if things get too hairy you just Mind Wipe and let the companion take a few hits while you heal up. Ideally, I've found I can go through 3-4 decent fights without having to Seethe, whereas with a tank companion it was like every 1-2. Plus I just really, really fuggin hate Khem.
  7. Only reason I re-subbed. Hope they don't give it the 'Bioware' treatment, by which I mean screw it up.
  8. EA would never be willing to take that much of a hit. However the only thing that needs changing about SWTOR is the friggin engine. Lag, abiilty delay, glitching, phasing, everything would be fixed if they had a decent engine instead of this crappy HERO POS.
  9. Yeah...first I gave up on original gameplay, then I gave up fun space missions, and now I think I'm going to shelve PvP. At least they still know how to spin a tale or two. If not for the story, I dunno why I'd even bother.
  10. Okay, I'll agree the naked PvP was a bit silly. However even as a lvl 40-ish, fully stripped-sans-weapon, the fighting was still back-and-forth and fun. Everything felt ( relatively ) even, even against high lvl 50s. But now, today, my first time PvP'ing since the new patch, I go into a WZ with my lvl 45 and just get *********** slaughtered wearing my regular questing oranges / blues. A lvl 51 and lvl 53 were taking turns killing me in the space of 3-seconds. My sorc shield ( not the bubble, the actual shield ) couldn't even absorb one full hit and was popped instantly on the charge. And this happened over and over in a painfully-fast timeframe. I actually ran from gate, met the Jedi, died, and managed to respawn in the enclosure in time to exit once again in the SAME BARRIER TIMEFRAME. That is just wrong. It got so bad I just left, which I hate doing, but dying five times in the first 3 minutes of a match is not selling me on your bolster 'fix'.
  11. Yeah, I seriously underestimated how much a companion healer can heal. I didn't think she'd be able to heal both her and the player at the same time, but maybe she wouldn't have if I had focused on her instead. : / I blame Khem.
  12. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201ZfcMboZfMfRs0z.3 So cruising around on Quesh on my lvl 42 sorc, Madness / Lightning hybrid, good level-appropriate oranges with high-end mods, and I spot a 35 trooper. "Sure." I says to myself. "Why the hell not?" I open up with Crushing and Affliction, hobble from range, and begin to lay down my lightning. I don't get very far. They have their companion healer, which is usually fine with me, so I send Khem to keep her busy and continue the hurt. Only she's not hurting, -I- am. Every thing I do to her, her companion overheals, all while healing herself through my companions assault ( I switch him to DPS stance against other companions ). This goes on for about a minute, me kiting and snaring and dropping dots / insta Lightning Strikes, me bubbling and healing when I can...for ****'s sake I even use a medpack!...until I eventually die. She sits at about 3/4 health, her companion seems no worse for wear, and all I can think is 'what the actual ****?' Is this normal, to have healing companions laugh at my dps build? Am I doing something horribly wrong? I'm not the type to cry at losing in pvp, but I got the drop AND outleveled this fella, only to lose so, so horribly. Help?
  13. hehe. Good for a laugh. Dunno why these Harlem Shake video amuse me so, but they do.
  14. You might not have, and that's a cool, but many others have. Again, please note, I'm subbed HERE and not WoW. However that doesn't mean, once I log into SWTOR, I put on my rose-tinted glasses. Currently there is absolutely NO MMORPG out there with a system and world impressive enough to snare me and keep me entertained, not like they used to. Combat is all the same, graphics are debatable, quests are carbon-copy, so what do I want? Story. I just want story I haven't already played through a thousand times or more. If something is going to keep me entertained, it's going to be that. So that's why I'm here. SWTOR's combat may feel stale, it's worlds barren and lifeless, and it's leveling system a tedious chore that I've done in dozens of other games before it ( honestly, if they just fixed ability delay, I would thoroughly enjoy this game's combat ), but it has the best story. The last remnants of Bioware, who were once my favorite gaming developer, now sadly laid to rest. Also, Khem may have a voice and a personality, but when I see him re-routing through enemies because I leapt down a short cliff instead of circling through a doen packs of mobs, or aggroing out of my pull zone, or getting stuck on terrain and forcing a dismiss / resummon I surely have flashbacks of Gullinbursti, my Board 'companion' for many a year in WoW, and not always in a good way. Anywho, I didn't mean to make this a 'wow is better than' post. I just don't like blind fanboyism. *not pointing fingers*
  15. ...instead we have crossbow-wielding giant dogs. And have you SEEN Sith Inquisitor shoulder pieces? I have to turn sideways to get onto my ship. And our 'pets' can attack each other. I bet my Khem could take your Forex!
