  1. Esseles of course - the mirror fp of Black Talon
  2. I did it today as part of the story. I heard that the bug can be avoided by putting Tau on tank, so I did that (I'm a shadow dd). It worked well. I had to figure out, that when he was zipping around, you absolutely can not stand in his way - that killed me first time. Rest was ok. The mobs were annoying - too much of them and again, stealth detection. Didn't like that in SoV or in the chapters. I play a stealther for a reason.
  3. Really - a black background is an issue now? I personalyl like it. If you have problems with the new combat proficiencies or gearing system - that I could understand, those a major changes, but a black background in character creation seems a bit ... underwhelming?
  4. Yep, it's happening to me too. I could play yesterday, but today, it says, that the servers are not available. I hope, there will be a solution soon. Edit: Nevermind: I just saw, that they took the servers down, so maybe it will be working again afterwards.
  5. A Hammer Station again. There were a Powertech (level 21), two Marauder (39 and 75) and my agent (level 75). The level 75 marauder had some minor god complex and tried ordering everyone around. Then he wanted to skip two small mob groups (after the big one with the two bog droids) by running through and I just made an offhand comment about how it is quicker to kill them than to wait until tehy reset. He didn't like that at all. For the rest of the fp he acted like a jerk. Whenever I wanted to stun an enemy, so that the group could ran by, he would jump in. He would skip a group with his concealment ability and jump into the next one, leaving me with the two smaller level player to deal with the rest. On one occasion, he would bypass the big droid behind the last bridge and jump into the group behind. We other three killed the bigdroid, I kept our baby powertech alive with the few heals I have and our ******e marauder just died. It was so satisfiying. He died on a minor mob group (the two astromechs and the silver mob), that normally is no problem at all. We left him hanging there for a bit until picking him up. He left the group very quickly and quietly after the fp and I have a new player on my ignore list. If someone feels the need to go against the group, just bacause he thinks, that his fragile ego is bruised, I don't need to play with that person.
  6. I'm actually a girl and if a guy would have suggested that, I would have put him on ignore too - thank the force for legacy ignore. I had quite a few flashpoints, most were pretty normaly, some good, but run was strange. It was a Hammer Station and two player did quit right in the first big group. Nothing negative were happening, they aggroed the group and instead of fighting, they did quit. I was group leader, found two replacements (after the other character and I died of course, because those two clowns had to quit mid fight instead of after or before), before they could load in, the last of the original player did quit - they probably hadn't seen, that replacement was on the way. I found a third player and off we did go. It went pretty normal after that. I really don't know, why those people did quit.
  7. Yeah, sadly you can't stealth through most groups, so be really careful to just aggro one group after another. That was, what I meant with SoV is more a long chore than a nice fp.
  8. It's one of my least favorite fps too. You can't stealth through it, because every mob group has someone with stealth detection, so no advantage froma stealtehr class here. Plus, I'm not the biggest fan of the Mandalorian storyline, although I do like Shae and of course want her to succeed. SoV is really more a long chore than a nice fp storywise.
  9. I had two very different expierneces last night. First I queued with my guardian (dd) and Battle of RIshi popped up. There was a sage , another guardian (dd too) and a dd shadow. The shadow didn't know the fp and the other guardian just quit. We found replacement (another dd shadow) and I did the tanking as good as I could as a dd and we explained everything to the new player. They were really quick to learn and even managed - together with the other shadow - to reach the clickies without fight. We explained the last boss and tehre was no trouble. It was a fun fp and we were very chatty - really nice experience. Then I switched to my agent and HS popped out. Ther was a level 75 tank (jugger), a marauder (around level 30 I think) and a sniper ( around level 60). The jugger and the sniper just ran around aggroeing everything and the marauder died. I didn't even had time to pick them up when the otehr idiots ran into the next fight. That was when I called it a day and just left the group. I don't have time for toxic people tbh.
  10. I, too, never experienced that. I have ignored people in the past, that were really toxic and constantly insulting otehr players. Those are the kind of people, I really don't need to encounter. If someone accidently aggroes a group, that is pretty ok. It happend to me too. I just said, that I'm sorry and never had a problem. And if I'm new to a flashpoint, I usually say so and had always experienced really helpful player, who took the time to explain.
  11. Had a really strange Legacy of the Rakata today. We were a gunslinger (75), a sage (60something), a sentinel (75) and me (shadow, 75). At the first boss, teh gunslinger ran to him, started fighting, while two of us (sage and me) were still outside. He did that 3 times, everytime boss reset after a while, but we didn't have time to enter, before the gunslinger started attacking again. Then he finally stopped his attacks long enough, so we could enter - and the sentinel ran out. After that, we finally killed the boss. On teh second boss (the guy with the many adds) I realised, that the gunslinger and the sage are in melee range instead of staying back and maybe hit a kolto while they at it. No they always ran right to the bosses and often stay in the cleave abilities. At Arkous and the soldier (just forgot his name), they just attacked the soldier and ignored Arkous. So I tried my best, to get Arkous down, so that they can be killed roughly the same time (as it is supposed to be). Again, both ranged dds were standing exactly in front of the bosses and often wouldn't run out of stupids or attacks. I was very glad, when that fp was over. I had a Battle of Rishi, that was a bliss compared to that. People knew, what they were doing and we got through without problems,
  12. Had a Battle of Rishi today with my Sage, another Sage, a Commando dd and a Guaridan tank. The tank didn't tank at all, mostly it was us sages, the other sage didn't use any of their dot abilities and all three of them didn't say anything about not knowing the fp. I had a beginning suspicion that this was the case, when they all started waiting on where I was going, because I pointed out the way in the beginning. At the last boss, I asked, if they know the boss. Only 'tank' replied, that he didn't know them. So I explained that they have to go behind those desks for the AOE, I gave them the code , when the AOE would start (Electro Matrix) and showed them, where the desks were. First round, all but other sage died. Other sage died in the next round, because they always stand a bit outside of the shield. Next try - exactly the same. I explained again and said, that if they want to survive, they have to get behind those desks during AOE. On the third try, the tank ran behind one desk from the beginning and stayed there, only attacking the boss with saberthrow. I politely asked him to do his job and attack the boss properly. He did after that and we finally managed to finish (not without other sage dying two more times). That was a bit exhausting.
  13. I just finished the newest storyline today, including Spirit of Vengeance and Secret of the Enclave. I found them ok, challenging, but not too hard. I do not appreciate the trend of those newer fps to force you to fight most mob groups, if it isn't significant for the story. I played a shadow and would have loved to stealth to avoid some of the encounters, since they are mostly tedious and not doing much in terms of storyprogression or testing your skills. Maybe a few less groups, but therefore a bit more impactful. Other than that, it was ok. Tbh, I found some fights in the chapters and the fight against the three emperors in the Kira/Scourge storyline much more challenging. With the second add wave in SoV, I ran down to the group at the entrance, made them mad at me,so that they would leave the comp alone and then ran back up to kill the two snipers. As a shadow, I used my cooldowns, Heroic Moment (which heals you too over time) and one or two healing nodes and was fine. Every class has some cooldowns you can use, which should help until you reach a healing node. And the companion you get (Whatshisname Ordo) is already level 25, so pretty versatile. He did a lot of healing.
  14. My first ever character in SWTOR was a scoundrel healer and I still love to play her today. It might be harder to learn, but it is a lot of fun.
  15. I had an Athiss fp yesterday, where two people were fighting the whole fp. It was getting to the point, where it harmed the group. Granted, the scoundrel couldn't play his class, but the vanguard did tell him that so mean, that the scoundrel reacted by just pulling everything and we wiped. I was about to leave, but there was a newbie in the group, who asked for help and I tried to help them as good as I could. It was the longest fp, I was ever in.
