  1. My install is in its own "Games" root folder, not even on the boot drive. *shrug*
  2. I have no other games that ask for admin rights on launch, and this one shouldn't either. Its rather stupid to be logged into an admin account. I have an admin account i can authenticate with, but the problem with doing it that way, is SWTOR then links all activity for the game to that Admin account, and NOT the logged in account, making getting to files saved from the game, troublesome to get to (log files, screen shots, ect..) because you have to go find the admin account and dig around in that. Please fix the launcher so it doesn't need an admin account.
  3. I noticed this issue last week, but just thought that it was a fluke of me being away from the game for so long. However, i noticed that on my main character (level 55), im only gaining rested XP when logged in, and in a rested zone, and when i log back in (even form the character screen), It completely clears the built up xp. I haven't noticed this on any other character as of yet. I've submitted a ticket in game, but wondering if there was something i could do to trouble shoot it on my end. Has anyone else run into this issue? Given that it is happening in game, and only on one character, its difficult to believe its anything on my end, but thought i would ask. I don't even need to log out to lose rested. I can be in a Cantina, build up a little bit of rested (like 10-20) walk out to be out of the rested area, and the moment i walk back in, it resets back to zero.
  4. con... Console? Joysticks have been on computers LOOONG before consoles buddy. And Gamepads dont count, nor are they the same thing.
  5. Wow, you people are too easily impressed. This looks like crap. Yet again they throw the perspective in 3rd person like the crappy space combat that already exists. That was a major disappointment to just about everyone who had ever played any of the X-Wing games, and this is no different. Its just more dumbed down, hand holding b.s. that has become prevalent in gaming today. Gods forbid we actually Challenge people so they learn skill. This is why Star Citizen has over 20 million in funding. People are sick of these games holding your hand. Im also willing to bet that this new release will pretty much just be Warzones in space, meaning your victory doesnt mean anything except currency. (whoppie crap).. Things like this is why this game is going down the tubes.
  6. While entering track info isnt hard (although annoying as hell) I cant edit the album art for it.
  7. Did you upload that track list to WMP? Cause i cant find it when i put it in. I did find this, Star Wars: The Old Republic (soundtrack) but i really dont feel like typing in all of that because the dumb f***'s at M$ dont update their $#!#.
  8. Why, after its been out this long, does WMP not pick up the proper album information for this? Is there anyway to force it to short of entering it all in manually, which F* that!?
  9. Because they know that PvE can only go so far, and they are trying to push you into doing their little e-sport game they call PvP.
  10. Start a new character. Everything after the class story line is done is just a pointless filler. I went so far as to get my affection up with Khem as he has his own little story arc, but thats about as far as i took my SI.
  11. Except, that is the exact opposite of how EA operates. They like to drive a game into the ground, the toss it in the bin (sometimes tossing out the dev teams with it). EA doesnt give a rats butthole about its players. It only cares about what profit margin it can squeeze out of the titles they publish. Yep. The moment SWTOR starts costing more money than they are making from it, they will dump it out the airlock, give all of its subscribers the finger and move on to the next money making game. Sad fact is, people like to ignore this and continue buying their games, which keeps giving them money, so they dont see anything wrong with their business model. Why do you think so many of the GOOD games are being publicly funded though things like Greenlight and kickstarter? Cause people (especially devs) are tired of having the boot of big publishers shoved up their butts, and being told what to make and how to make it to maximize profits. (hey, you need to put micro transactions in your game so we can make money.. What? I dont care that you didnt plan to do it, your doing it now or we will pull your funding and fire you!)
  12. You're fighting a losing battle here. They have long been in the mentality of "majority pays more". This is why we have e-sport Warzones and ****** PvP zones. Majority wanted that, but it doesnt make it best. They cant ignore the majority as that is where they will get most of their money. If enough people want it implemented and it doesn't break the game (sometimes even if it Does break the game) it will eventually get put in. I was pretty bummed on beta/release when i saw the ****** state of PvP end game. I havent played in a long time and just came back to play through a story, but it doesnt look like much has changed on that front.
  13. Pretty much what he said. This isnt the first person to purpose the idea, just the first to make some illustrations showing it. (that ive seen anyway). Many of us, including myself, not only posted these kinds of ideas, but begged BW to use them during beta and before. no, if they were smart, they'd take this idea and implement it on their own and not hire or pay the guy for it. Thus saving money lol. But they would hire me as a designer if they were smart
  14. OK.. I understand Why there is now a restriction in place so that new characters cant get off the starter planets, but to be honest, it was far too blunt of a fix that needed a scalpel. From what im told, the lowbie restriction was to keep people from bringing low level toons to farm the chest on Ilum.. so im wondering.. why wasn't the restriction placed on Ilum, instead of the starter planets? There are several things that cannot be done now until you level your new character enough because of this, that have no impact on ilum. The primary of all of them is Access to your Vault. I have the CE version and i really dont want to carry that stuff around for 10 levels until im able to place them in my vault.. My only other option now is to leave them in the mail, but given the issues of lost items that has happened in the past, im not too fond of that idea either. Also, the low level toons have been cut off from the GTN. Sure, you can get on another character and send items but lets face it, its far easier to buy stuff for the toon you want when your On that toon. You are also cut off from your friends on the other starter planet.. Say you made a force user, your friend made a non-force user. Its true you can quest on the other planet, but if your friend wants help getting though an area, they now have to call out to general chat and hope someone helps. Those are the issues ive come across, there may be more. The point is, restricting when players can leave the starter planet was, imo, not the correct way to solve the Ilum farming issue (if that was indeed why it was put in place)
