  1. Yeah, even when you get back in there are lag spikes of varying lengths every couple minutes. Just loaded up crafter companions with something to do and restocked the GTN finally, but not attempting anything else. Goodnight SWTOR!
  2. Even when you can stay in the lag spikes are happening every couple minutes. Finally got some crafting pieces set and restock on GTN. Guess that's all I'm getting done tonight. Calling it as well.
  3. The posts are starting to pop up everywhere now. I just got home and been DC'd 3 times in 15-20 min. Came to look and it's now on a bunch of server forums and now General. (in another thread someone mentioned other games like WoW are being affected too, fwiw)
  4. Oh, great. Someone is trying to ruin the interwebs. :|
  5. I just posted in the Ebon Hawk forums, and while I was typing I got DC'd again from the game. Looks like it's all servers and possibly the website as well, because it took a minute or so of "revolving icon" to load after I posted. :|
  6. I noticed both this morning and when I got home from work the little pop up that happens when you get logged out from inactivity said "couldn't retrieve server list" rather than the other normal one when you are just logged out. I had thought maybe they took the servers down while I was sleeping and later working, but I just got DC'd and it took a couple minutes to get back in. Is our hamster being fed regularly or maybe just old and needs replaced?
  7. What if they put the bat for sale in the gift shop so anyone could buy one?
  8. Ok, I checked that vendor but you'd have to have 20-30k data crystals every 3-4 days to put up the number of companion gifts that are going up. Every way I can think of to get gifts takes way more time. Running crew missions on dozens of alts you'd spend all day cycling through them all and clicking missions, and buying them with crystals I don't see how you get that many crystals every 3-4 days. No more ideas on how they are doing it?
  9. I'm genuinely curious what you mean by repeatable content. The weekly Heroics are repeatable. Do you mean more of those, or more things like dailies or weeklies? Or something like the main story or quest line having dynamic options so going through it on alts you might see completely different dialogue and /or outcomes? (obviously there'd have to be a limit to that too, but something like 5 different choices at each junction?) (think, something like the "choose your own adventure" books where each decision takes you to a different place in the book) I see the "repeatable content" request a lot. Just wondering what exactly people want for that.
  10. Yep, that sounds about right. I'm pretty sure that a gaming company can look at their data from the game and see exactly what everyone is doing and when they are doing it (when new raids or pvp stuff is launched, who and how many play and for how long, etc) and based on that are making decisions to add stuff that most people play. Hence we are seeing less pvp and ops/raids and more solo content. (the reasons that mmo players have gravitated towards more solo activities include all the stuff you said and possibly things like player toxicity and attitude coupled with not wanting to be gated by waiting on others to get stuff done when we want to) It's a little mind boggling to think that some forum users believe that if the game isn't going in the exact direction they like that it must be complete fail. That the things they want to do in an mmo are the only things and everyone should and obviously does want the exact same thing.
  11. The word ridiculous springs to mind when I read the above statement. Maybe it wouldn't sound so silly if you had omitted "almost wholly". I'm sure there are some subscribers that fit your relationship analogy, but saying that SWTOR is almost wholly supported by subs who dislike the game but can't break their addiction is just crazy talk. You use a lot of fancy words in your posts and I'm sure we're to supposed to get the idea you're very smart, but the fact you are basing your assumptions on "sub forums and sub forums" worth of evidence tends to call that into question. I think someone else in the thread already pointed out that it's pretty common knowledge that a small percentage of any games player base actual read the forums of their game and even fewer still post about anything. So your overwhelming evidence is of a small percentage of the games players. TLDR; maybe in a thread about whatever agenda someone is focusing on today 30 of 50 posters don't like something. Meanwhile out in the game are thousands of players who are happily just playing the game and having fun with said agenda concern.
  12. Aren't you cute as well? Who is this we you speak of? Where is the conclusive proof that you and this we you speak of are the majority? You mention sub forums and sub forums overflowing with your evidence.... I suspect not everyone see's it that way. Which sub forums exactly? Also.... I'm pretty sure the OP wasn't targeting any one group and their agenda, but the "I speak for everyone" type of poster who post's about anything. And it was pretty humorous until you got all seriously offended appearing.
  13. Where is it? The one that sells grade 1 and 2 gifts for credits sells the rank 5 blue and purple for the no longer available fragments, but not data crystals.
