  1. Is there anything I can do other than report it? Or is it something that Bioware is aware of and we're waiting for a fix on?
  2. So I've reached the point where I've been prompted with the option to choose a Legacy Surname. The problem is that the system won't let me do anything. I enter the name, click create, and the window disappears. I don't get any error messages, the name doesn't register, and if I click the legacy button up top it asks me to enter the name like I never did it before. Is this the game's way of telling me the name is taken? I figured there's be a message or something.
  3. Dude, Final Fantasy XIV has SUCKED since day one, and a year and a half later it's still up and running with players. SWTOR ain't going anywhere regardless of sales numbers. Additionally, the majority of the SWTOR community is well aware that these forums have become nothing more than a gathering place for the WoW loyalists who are desperate to keep their precious lifeblood from faltering due to SWTOR. Nowhere else on the web can you find such a collection of whining anti-SWTOR people as you can here on the boards. Bottom line: If you don't like SWTOR, that's great for you. Go play something else. Leave these forums and wait for the game to die as you expect it will. Just be prepared for a long wait.
  4. You know, I thought I tried that, but my dumb***** apparently didn't have my eyes open at the time. Thanks so much!
  5. Absolutely. Love the game - haven't been this addicted to a game since vanilla WoW, and I really do appreciate the differences between SWTOR and other MMOs. This stands out to me as unique even if the core gameplay ideas are the same (it is an MMO, after all) and I'm really loving it.
  6. Have you really played through all the classes from level 1-50? If not, you're missing out on quite a bit. Oh, that's right, you don't want an alt. Well, then you are boxing yourself in. It's not like your current character won't be there for you when you go back to him. But there's nothing wrong with getting creative.
  7. I'm sure you've been trolled to death by now (haven't read the whole thread and I won't) but I agree with everything you've said. I'm anxious to see where the developers will take the game/story from here.
  8. Is there a way to create custom Chat Tabs where I can more easily separate different channels? For example, if I want one tab to be a mix of everything, another to be just battle notices, another to be just whispers, and another for just guild, can I do that? If not, then I think that needs to be added to the list of items for future updates. It would make communication a whole lot easier. Loving the game, though. Back to hunting!
  9. I wouldn't mind them being in the game, but I'd prefer not as a playable class.
  10. Coming from Final Fantasy XI, we never had chat bubbles, never needed them, and never cared for them. They actually detract from the environment a bit, in my opinion. Look at your chat box. Otherwise head back to Runescape or WoW or whatever floats your boat. Bioware will get to it when they get to it, not because a few people can't be bothered to look a few inches up/down to see their chat box.
  11. My opinion is that your suggested "moment of truth" hasn't arrived yet. Give it a year or two to see how the player population changes. Personally, I'm really enjoying the game so far. There are some MINOR things that need fixing, but nothing that bothers me so much that I can't enjoy the game.
  12. Awesome, found it! Thank you sooo much!
  13. I love this game. Seriously, you've got a great thing here. It is my opinion that anyone who says you released too early or that the game is not worth the money wasn't really aware of what your goals for this MMO were from the start. But I, along with an extremely large portion of the player base (most of whom can be found playing the game instead of battling the negativity here), really enjoy what you've done. I personally would like to thank you for NOT pushing the graphics to the utmost limit as so many seem to think you should've done. My computer is not old, but it ain't a gaming rig either. Because the graphics of TOR arn't of "Skyrim" quality, I can play it. And I'm loving it. That being said, it is not without issues. I know you guys have a running list of things to address and that everything can't be worked on immediately, but here's what I see. First off, the Auction House. What were you thinking? The interface is in need of some serious reworking. Of all the things in the game, I would've thought this would've been one of the simpler aspects to design. Please make it easier to ... well, to do anything with it. Second, character creation options. I know I've seen this in a number of other threads, so I won't go into detail. But I add my name to the list of people who would like more customization like hair types, face types, etc. Third, the UI. Again, another issue that's been often discussed. I'd like to be able to resize/reposition my HUD. Fourth, this may be me, but I haven't found an easy way to compare/equip gear on my companion without having to open their character screen and look at each stat individually to see the overall +/- effect of a new piece of equipment. Maybe I'm missing something, though. Other than that, there are a number of minor graphical/technical glitches here and there, but overall the game is awesome. Flashpoints, in particular, seem far more engaging than any MMO dungeon runs I've ever done before. As I said in another recent post, I'm so addicted to this game it's a little frightening.
