  1. I actually managed to skip chapter 1 of the Sith Warrior story line without ever leaving Dromund Kaas. It was when he was trying to torture and interogate that captured spy, and the conversation went like this... Baras: AAARRGH!! I CANNOT BREAK HIM!! Me: Have you tried sitting on him? Found out all about Jaesa immediately with no further issues.
  2. I agree it would be ify to have Thana follow a non-Sith around but I don't see why it would be impossible (ignoring technicalities like coding and voice acting and whatnot). She got along with my BH just fine at the end, once she realized that all attempts at one upping me would only end in more of me making her PO'd Getting her frustrated was honestly the highlight of Taris for me, the only reason I have to enjoy that nightmare of a planet. And the email from her afterwards was just adorable, you can't tell me no one in the devs at least considered bringing her back for more. I don't know how it would work, but all the same consider this my support in bringing Thana back, in some form or another. Companion would be nice but I'd settle for another round of competition and teasing her someplace away from Taris. Edit: Highly doubt it ever will happen. I might have jumped the gun in responding to this post before I saw how many people admitted to killing her. I already stated my case in wanting to see her again but I can already see the issues this would bring up.
  3. I can feel the original poster's pain, but for different reasons. I haven't gotten blown up yet because I haven't tried a match yet, been having too much fun looking at all the different components and such. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the crew customizations (which brought its own disapointments, more on that later), and overall the designs are aesthetically pleasing as @#$%. I was having fun just messing around in the tutorial level. That being said, I had already decided I wasn't going to get too involved with this expansion because I hate pvp. Doesn't matter what game I play, I avoid any and all pvp functions. It takes a lot of patience to stay with something when sticking your toe in the water involves a bunch of other people constantly ganging up on you, and I will be the first to say I don't care for that. I am probably the LEAST qualified to judge Galactic Starfighter, having already written it off before it arived, but it really got me thinking. Its kind of like the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer for me. I'm sure its fun even though its not my thing but I'm still left feeling like Bioware could have spent resources elsewhere to better effect. Bioware games have always been about epic stories with your character at the center, now all of a sudden here comes Star Wars Modern Warfare ...er, sorry, Galactic Starfighter. That's just my current thought process, take it with a grain of salt. I'll be waiting for the pve content to GSF (won't be expecting it anytime soon, if ever), interactions with the new crew characters (awesome characters but my expectations, influenced by prior Bioware games no less, are left wanting in the face of ship components with faces) and waiting for people to (not) help me with group content on the ground. I realize I'm complaining at the end there but its a pain in the ***** to love a game that doesn't always love me back.
  4. Someone actually already answered this question but its in the previous thread, before exceeding the maximum posts, but I won't be cruel and make you look for it In short, Bioware Austin only came into being to handle SWTOR. The original Bioware we know and love has done it before but Austin is a bit of a different story. Personally, I agree with the first half, just put it in the game and be done with it, but unfortunately I have been seeing the problem all along as I read over posts. No matter what they do, including doing nothing, someone is going to feel punished, whether they complain "not fair," "forcing me" or "I don't want it in my game" etc. Damned if they do damned if they don't. I think I would rather have Darth Baras sit on me than be in Bioware's shoes right now.
  5. This ^ I'd appreciate it if they relaxed the tree structure into something a little more web-like, not just to free up characters trapped between two others but also go into more details about how each is connected. My main character is adopted by a Zabrak bounty hunter but is the biological daughter of a Jedi Knight, but the two are not married, they're rivals, and I can't quite show the full triangle that is my complicated legacy family. On another note, I couldn't resist this thread because I have a Sith pureblood and Chiss as adopted siblings.
  6. Only completed Smuggler, Bounty Hunter and Sith Warrior story lines, working on an Inquisitor next though I have started Trooper and Agent. BH: everyone after Mako. Gault has grown on me but I still wanted to shoot him on Tatooine. Torian bores me, 'nuff said. Blizz cracks me up but beyond occasional bits of comedic relief he's kinda useless for me. And I think enough has been said about Skadge so I won't beat that dead horse by repeating what's already been ranted. The guy never took the hint when I was glad he said he was leaving. SW: Personally I love Vette but I can see how she would tick off those trying to roll a Dark side Warrior, so I'll be glad to take her off anyone's hands Quinn, though, puts me to sleep, and it didn't make sense for my Warrior to let him live after throwing him a beating. I also wouldn't lose any sleep if Pierce and Broonmark suddenly disapeared... As for Kaliyo, I just started on Dromund Kaas with my Agent so I haven't really spent enough time with her to say yay or nay, but I will admit when I first read about her before starting my Agent I was concerned she would annoy the heck out of me, but so far hasn't yet. I suppose I have until Alderaan to find out...
