  1. I think deception is fine how it is for PvP. If anything, we could use some sort of extra/buffed utility type spell to make it a bit easier. But really, if you know what you're doing, deception is pretty good in PvP. I can defend/attack objectives effectively, kill huttball carriers and slow them/stun them to keep them back from the goal, kill healers, and cause general chaos without much of a problem. Yes, we're squishy, but that's why we have so many ways to stun/slow people and escape a fight. We have pretty good dps when you use the right abilities at the right time, watching your buffs.
  2. A deception assassin who knows what he/she is doing is also pretty good at defense and offense of objectives, taking out healers, and causing general chaos. While going Darkness with DPS gear is amazing and easier to play, Deception still does great and is more rewarding I think.
  3. Why are you and all of the other game hoppers who quit so quickly still here? That's a better question.

    Omg game sucks

So you don't like it personally, so it is the worst one out there. I bet it's safe to say that you didn't give it much of a try, didn't get to 50, didn't learn your class or spec role, and ragequit. And I would bet you've done this many times with quite a few games. God I am so tired of game-hoppers and ragequitters who think opinion=fact. Go away, no one cares about your opinion when you have that kind of mentality.
  5. This is pretty much the only way. If you are Deception, the only way to get many medals is to use Dark Charge, guard people and taunt. Otherwise, no matter how much you may be helping the team by playing the proper role of Deception, the stats rarely show it. Deception is a thankless job, and the only way to get medals is to use some tank skills.
  6. So, are there any forums out there that anyone knows of with true PvP discussion? Because this forum is absolutely useless and I am getting tired of checking it in the hopes that there is something worth reading just to be disappointed. It's nothing but "here's how you fix this" and "x and x need nerfed" and "x is way OP" and "this game sucks", filled with players who just don't like the game or just aren't good at it. I'm looking for a forum that has some actual discussions and threads worth reading, so if anyone knows of one, please for the love of the Force, let me know.
  7. Some helpful info in this thread so far. I am working on my keybinds myself, since as I was leveling I just slapped a key on and by the time I am in the level 40s my keybinding is a mess.. You don't have to have tons of mouse keys if you aren't good with thumb control (like if you don't have a lot of feeling, or just aren't coordinated with small buttons..), or if you can't afford a mouse like that. I have a logitech g518 (or something like that) with two buttons in the thumb area, and it is still enough to make quite a bit of a difference in efficiency. I use the easiest one to push for targeting and the further one for sprint, which makes a nice difference. And remember, don't feel pressured into keybinding a ton of keys to the point where it becomes impossible to play and learn. Use modifiers and change your keybinds if something is difficult. Just because you have 18 keybindable keys like a nice logitech keyboard has, doesn't mean you have to use them for in-combat keys.. because let's face it, hitting those keys way over there is just not practical in most situations.
  8. No, it's not. It's actually pretty good. Yes, some classes and specs require more skill and player knowledge to play than others. So what? It's more rewarding if you can excel with a difficult spec. Sure, balancing may be needed here and there, WoW has been failing at balancing their PvP for over seven years. If you suck at it and don't like it because of that, you can join the club by posting that "this and this sucks" and "this needs nerfed" and "this pvp sucks, I can't kill X". I for one enjoy it a lot, far more than WoW PvP. I love the style and how certain things work, and I love Huttball. I love playing Deception, an Assassin spec that people think is terrible, and I love playing it correctly and doing my role in a warzone. If you don't like it, that doesn't mean it sucks: it means you don't like it.
  9. I personally think those in your links are dull and ugly. Sure, I don't want gear that looks like it's from WoW, with huge shoulders covered in special effects and a headpiece that should make me fall over, but I want it to look a little interesting. I think it should look like the inquisitors in the game's trailers, black capes, cool masks. A better idea is to have all of the designs for inquisitors as an option. Either make moddable endgame gear with multiple designs, or one set of gear that can have it's visuals changed between different designs.

    Delete Huttball

I love huttball. If you think it's not for certain classes you should try to learn your class and what role you should be playing. This thread just tells us you aren't very good at PvP and are unwilling to learn and adapt.
  11. If you are on a PvP server, you should expect this type of thing. If someone is terrorizing an area, call in higher levels to help defend against them. If you just sit in a chat and complain about it rather than doing something to fight back, you deserve it. It's a PvP server, war isn't fair, be prepared or go home.
  12. I agree, but maybe do it smart, not just a simple "you leave, you're punished" like in WoW. Sometimes if my internet is acting up, I will leave, for two reasons. One, it's no fun when my internet is acting like crap. Two, I am doing nothing for the team and they would be much better off with a replacement. I also think there should be some way to prevent people from getting this debuff if they were removed from the warzone for a disconnection. If someone has a hiccup and loses connection and logs back in a few minutes later, they shouldn't be punished.
  13. Two things. One, right now the main people in the level 50 bracket are people who know how to play, because the bad players give up and make forum threads instead. So yes, you are going to have trouble in the 50 bracket if you don't do very well without an extreme advantage over 90% of the other players. Two, as the game grows, more people play, and more people get a character to level 50, there will be more and more variety in player skill and gear in the level 50 bracket, and it will be fine. The main players right now are people who were able to level quickly, efficiently, and know their class. You can't expect a bunch of newbies you can stomp to have level 50s this soon. Most people are leveling multiple characters due to the great story experience, and the number of 50s right now is small. Basically: Learn your class and give it time.
  14. I've been leveling most of the way with a hybrid madness/darkness spec which is good for AOE dps and tanking. If you get low on health with a quest boss or a champion, you can use Khem Val and activate his taunt. Otherwise, I keep his taunts deactivated and only use them when I am low on health. If I remember to do it.. it's rare that I find a fight I can't win. I am around the last 10 levels myself. My spec does get kind of dull after a while in my opinion, and I am also interested if other's have had more fun or better luck with a different build for the last 10 or so levels.
