How many Day One (or early access) veterans are still playing?
Giondi replied to marcusaxavier's topic in General Discussion
Yup. Got in on the first wave of Early Access. I left a couple times to play WoW, but I always come back to finish off one or two of the class stories. -
I really really really really hope we don't get a book from the chick who ruined Jaina Proudmoore. "I'm a pacifist who has spent her entire life working for peace between the Alliance and Horde, but now our enemies have committed an act of war, so I need to go all psycho and try to kill everyone who looks like the guy who did this." Two years later: "My boyfriend doesn't like me being crazy, so I'm over it now." Such bad writing. I don't know why Blizzard keeps hiring her to do Warcraft books. Rise of the Lich King was alright, but since it was just a retelling of Warcraft 3, she can't get all the credit for that.

Kicked out of a group for stupid rason thread.

I got kicked the other day for not healing. Kept getting whispers from one of the guys in the group asking me why I'm such a fail healer, why would you even queue as a healer if you aren't going to heal, why don't you just go kill yourself and stop being bad at this game. I was on my Sentinel, apparently my Juyo Zen was the only thing healing the group and the little moron got confused. -
The first thought I had was "Don't eat Korribeans, you'll have the lightning farts for a week!"

So what happens when you max affection with your follower?
Giondi replied to HumbleJedi's topic in General Discussion
This isn't quite true. The Legacy Buffs are tied to finishing all the conversations and missions you get for the companions, which come at certain points in the class story as well as being dependent on affection. So you can't just buy lots of gifts as soon as you get the companion and max it out for the bonuses, you have to actually get through the class story for them. -
It's a handheld device that fully renders a 3d holographic model of the person, which is fine with you. But when it detects where the user's eye level is and adjusts the image so the caller is looking at you, THAT'S too much to just go with it?

BW, we need to have a chat about voice modulation. (again)

Peace is a lie. Leave that hippie crap to the Jedi. -
Did they lie or were they just ignorant? Rakghate 2014

NO! There will be no levity on a gaming forum! This is a place for being serious all the time. QUIT. HAVING. FUN. Back on topic, I won't say that Bioware doesn't have the responsibility to monitor the doings of the characters in their game, obviously they do. All I'm saying is that ***** Jeelvic seems pretty comfortable down in those tunnels. We still don't know what he did with those DNA samples we gave him last time, and now he's bartering for even more of it. I think he's a Jawaghoul, spreading the plague on purpose to get more DNA for the purpose of taking over the galaxy. Should Bioware have known? Yes, but there are more important things to worry about right now. -
So, according to you, they're not only not making money, they're actually spending more money to make it look like they are because... of reasons, I guess? It can't be to keep the CM profitable, your argument is that the CM is NOT profitable. Either that or the CM (and by extension the game) IS making money for EA, which means it IS doing well and your post is wrong. Is the point of your post that your post is wrong? Because I agree with you if it is.

Would you leave the game if bioware made DF/DP L60 ?
Giondi replied to fushnchips's topic in General Discussion
The reasoning I've seen in most other games that raised old content to current level cap (the biggest one I can think of is Naxxramus and Onyxia being made level 80 and the Heroics of old dungeons in WoW) is that the developers are somehow "skimping" on new content. Of course, in pretty much every case I can think of, it's been introductory content to the new level cap with new stuff following right behind it and the whining is completely unnecessary. Terror From Beyond, Dark Fortress, and Dark Palace. -
Yeah, there's stuff that's exclusive to certain professions. I haven't bothered with the crafting side of things much beyond Biochem, so I don't know what all the others get, but you can make reusable versions of all the medpacks, stims, and adrenals you can craft. You have to reverse engineer the green quality ones you learn from the trainers to get the blue quality schematics, then reverse engineer those until you learn the purple quality reusable ones. I think there are grenades that require the right level of Cybertech to use, but I don't know about the others.

Light & Dark choices are not always simple choices
Giondi replied to RocketeerRaccoon's topic in General Discussion
My favorite one is on Taris. A group of people agree to pay you to go out and risk your life for a few quality of life items (not really anything that is necessary for survival since they're being housed and fed by the military at the base). When you do it, they try and play up the "Poor us, we're on this hellhole planet" schtick (even though, you know... THEN LEAVE!) and it gives you DS points when you have the audacity on a Smuggler to point out that you're a businessman and ask them to give you what they already agreed to. Do not interact with him. Stop feeding the troll. Just report him and laugh in a couple days when he posts some whiny thread about how the "fascists" at Bioware took away his stupid sig. -
Don't feed the troll. He's fully aware of it. Edited by me to be less retarded (in formatting, not content).

Is anyone else being billed early for their subscriptions?
Giondi replied to Jaick's topic in General Discussion
In many jurisdictions, no. Even seen one of those "We don't get paid unless YOU get paid" commercials on TV for lawyers? They're basically telling you they intend to follow the law. They may as well promise not to kill you if you lose the case. Also, if you live in a place where charging for losing cases is legal, a lawyer who makes his business out of taking on these cases and just raking in "easy money" would probably be disbarred on ethics violations. You're supposed to be on your client's side in every case, not just taking his money and laughing when the case gets thrown out. Do it often enough for enough money, you could actually find yourself in court on fraud charges.
