  1. this bug ONLY pops up if i reload the chapter. Every time I didn't, it gave me the correct dialogue where Valkorion instead insults me for using his power but failing to kill Arcann with it.
  2. fyi Disney did not rename Korriban, that was George Lucas who felt it was too similar to Coruscant.. Damage control immediately had to release a statement saying 'Korriban was known by many names' to cover for the fact that Lucas literally changed the name out of nowhere, it having been called Korriban since it's inception in like 1992. However, you are correct that Disney DID use KOTOR2's Malachor. I daresay while they tossed out much of the post-ROTJ EU in order to make a blank slate for their movies, they will show the rest of the EU overall more respect than GL ever did due to their focus on worldbuilding; GL was known to be incredibly fickle and often forced major changes during the development, regardless of the current state of the EU, on a personal whim.
  3. The fact that this is even up for discussion shows that Bioware has worked hard to incorporate as many classes as possible. If you want only one answer, however, then it is the Jedi Knight. (no bias, i hate the knight) KOTFE is written by drew karpshyn, the guy behind KOTOR and Revan, Lord Scourge, Vitiate, etc. His final Revan book before his spat with Bioware that caused him to leave ended with Lord Scourge betraying Revan (who was on the cusp of victory) because he had a vision of someone else who would be the one to defeat Vitiate. Who defeats Vitiate? All classes, but the Knight is set up to be his archenemy from the get go. Scourge also says that he saw himself placing a crown on the Knight's head. Everything in KOTFE tells the player that their destiny is to sit on the eternal throne. And thus it ties to Scourge's vision more so than anything else presented in vanilla SWTOR. And who writes KOTFE? Yep, Karpshyn does, having buried the hatchet with Bioware. The entire plot is you becoming Revan 2.0, experiencing dark/light and finding a common ground between the two just as he did., again with the direct tie to Vitiate, who wound up able to influence Revan through his power - just as he attempts to do with you for much of the story. That said, any class with a direct tie to Valkorion is a good candidate although that fades the deeper in the storyline we get. As of the latest chapter I'd say any of the classes work well, although force users work best for obvious reasons.
  4. it is an extremely negative subreddit, yes, but pretty much every remotely popular game is chock full of negativity after the first month of release.
  5. Really people are jumping to conclusions and are damn good at it. At this point it's far too early to tell, like in TPM when you had no clue on what would trigger this technological-genius-force-prodigy-space-jesus-superkid to become the Darth Vader we know and love. But seriously. Rey was the worst thing about the movie. Which is why i compare her to Anakin in TPM. Glaringly amazing, no apparent or obvious flaws. Finn bold face lies to her repeatedly to where even Han takes him to task but she's just 'oh its cool mate'
  6. His power level had nothing to do with the fight. The whole thing was light vs. dark, and light won. Which also instills doubt in his character as he was convinced the dark was stronger, sacrificed his father for it, yet here's an untrained noob defeating him toe to toe which shouldn't be happening. That Rey was untrained yet somehow won was the whole point of the fight. Amazed how this goes right over everyone's head, but then people are analyzing these characters like they're video game characters and the force is purely space magic when it's actually much much more.
  7. i've seen many use outright incorrect statements in their judgement/criticism of the movie and its characters. Like Finn, someone was mad because he says he wont kill then starts killing stormtroopers - Finn says he won't kill FOR THEM, that was the decision he made. He never says anything about not killing to defend himself. the outright wrongness of so many statements and ability to misunderstand basic plot points, its like they sat through the movie but didnt watch it, or, and this is more likely, read early spoilers, immediately judged the movie, then went into it with negativity and preconceptions so they could come out and post about how jj destroyed their childhood (there are some here claiming this!) and this was the worst star wars movie because... ...Suddenly hey midichlorian space jesus lets go race some pods and while you're at it go fly around saying WHOA!! a lot is deep and meaningful, and the preferred saber battle are the one where the majority of attacks are clearly never once meant to land because they're over choreographed with CGI kicks that do no damage. 7%ers indeed.
  8. Anakin midichlorian space jesus is bottom of the barrel for me lmao... *** is this... what's the difference?
  9. carrie fisher sounded weird and they didnt share a kiss then i realized 99.99% chance shes wearing dentures
  10. I loved him. Mind you I saw the movie twice (once with son once with father) and Kylo feels like a lost man trying to become something he's not. This movie will leave him strongly questioning his allegiance. The fact that he acknowledged being tempted by the light made him much more interesting than characters who once they went dark never came back. Count Dooku, Palpatine, Maul, Vader till the very end, none of them ever felt like being a good guy once they turned evil. Kylo isn't like that, he WANTS to be dark even against his own nature. I think he's a very complicated character and has a lot in common with both Anakin and Luke. We don't know much about his past yet and i'm sure there's a lot to it. I absolutely loved the scene with Han because the actor really brought emotion into it, he was basically asking his father to help him be brave enough to kill him. I really liked the way he was torn between the dark side and the light. I also enjoyed watching him wreck everything when things don't go the way he planned. It makes him feel very human, we get to see a man who's incapable of controlling his anger. The way he killed his father, and the fight with Rey will leave big marks on him. He believed dark was the path to follow and killed Han hoping it would propel him to becoming like Vader, but Rey was light and despite being untrained still defeated him in a fight almost everyone agrees she had no business winning. Just hearing about Han being around was enough to make him be tempted by the light. Despite the things he's done he's still a redeemable person trying to be a villain. by far the most interesting character of the bunch imo (so far) his story arc has tons of possibilities. he's like this https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CXS9YHdUQAADa5k.jpg
  11. Kylo Ren's theme in up on youtube and sounds fantastic - i don't remember hearing it in the movie though, likely because i haven't seen it 8 times and can't effectively pick it apart. Much of the complaints reminds me of Dragon Age 2 ... it sucked and was panned by critics and gamers alike. Bioware releases Inquisition. Suddenly DA2 was a great game and every bad thing it did was forgiven.
  12. on a basic level you misunderstood the character. but then i read your other post and yeah, you clearly don't give two ***** about understanding anything.
  13. Seriously where did you get 2 full years from? I saw he trained with Obi-Wan for a few hours and Obi-Wan never once pulled out his lightsaber and showed him how to duel. and then Obi-Wan got killed. Then much, much later, he hung out with Yoda for a couple days not using his lightsaber at all and had a duel with Vader where he held himself well despite no one teaching him how to fight lightsaber vs lightsaber combat. This better not be something covered in a novelization because it would invalidate your entire post. TFA has a novelization too that also explains stuff not seen in the film.
