Hi,
A few days ago I had an interesting chat with a guild mate. It turned out, she was somewhat angry, she could not get to 100% of the location achievements, because these achievements mix PvP and PvE tasks. (And indeed, on a PvE server it is almost impossible to find 500 players who are PvP flagged, so these achievements are indeed almost impossible to get).
Anyhow, it did not bother her, that she will never meet the 100% on the space mission achievements, as she does not do space missions. For her, the difference is the percentage shown in the tree view. And this frustrates her quite a bit.
I have a slightly different view on things. For me, each achievement stands on its own and the tree view is just a way to sort them. The percentages just help to find unfinished achievements.
So I propose the following:
Replace the tree view by a list view (maybe similar to the files in windows). Add filters to this view.
Filters could include
• PvE vs. PvP
• Imperial/Republic
• Class (all the companion achievements and class story achievements)
• Activity (killing / crafting / exploring)
• Location / sublocation
• …
This would allow things like:
Show me all PvE achievements on Tatooine
Show me all exploring achievements in the galaxy
…
There can also be a percentage for the current selection.
This system could help to avoid frustration at least for some player.
Regards
