  2. @OP I would have to say this game has a much higher ratio of good to bad (read as ill tempered and ego centric) players. I ran a FP for the first time and did not hear the typical trolling that I have become accustomed to from other MMO games. It was very refreshing to have constructive critiscism as opposed to blatant abuse that has run rampant in other communities.
  3. /cyber fist bump Started Christmas day or there about (I am getting old and the memory is not working like it used to) Took a break shortly after the legacy system was released due to graphics compatability issues.
  4. @OP I feel the same way when I get too much blood in my caffiene system.
  5. @OP, I honestly see it as a breath of fresh air. IT gives a little variety to how you quest and pick apart a pack, as opposed to that OTHER game where you mindlessly grind through mob after mob and occasionally have a pack to deal with. Now it is more about "OKay...3 ranged mobs, 1 elite melee mob and one standard melee mob. How do I want to pick this apart while maximizing my damage and minimizing my damage taken."
  6. @OP. There was a very large outcry about this issue during launch. PLayers were busy getting their companions geared, when for all intents and purposes the companions were "next to useless" at cap. I view it as no different than RNG working against you, and some players feeling that their game time is more important than your game time. While technically true everyones game time is more important than someone else when viewed subjectively it is still inconsiderate.
  7. @OP after many years in another MMO. I have learned to avoid groups altogether as in that game apparently you should magically know how to use every ability, every talent, every gear modifier, as soon as you roll your character. and if you don't.....well.....I am now here am I not.
  8. I can completely relate OP. I found myself logging into that OTHER game and would just stand around doing nothing. I was not really upset with any of the recent changes I just felt "Meh" about it in general. I was told I was suffering from burnout, but since picking this game back up (started about 2 weeks after release, took a break after legacy system was released so they could work on the graphics compatability issues), I just have not had the drive to go back.
  9. Yes. The complaints are constant. On their forums it has gotten to the point that you cannot even have a discussion without being told "you are an idiot" just because you do not have the same opinion. The game has steadily been hemmoraghing subs for the better part of two years and only until recently had a solid rebound on subs. In that game a new tool was implemented that not everyone is enjoying in the same manner and parts of the player base have promised everything from unsubbing to suing for false advertising. Note: I am avoiding the name of the above game deliberately. I do not want to open that can of worms here.
  10. I can think of another MMO that has been out for quite sometime that also has long standing bugs that have gone without fixes. The customer service is just as bad. And the complaints just as valid. Only their expansions take 2 years to come out, and they have to remodel the high end game almost every single time.
  11. @OP Or the player base could stop reading into everything and just take the game at face value. If you or any other player has played MMO's for any length of time you understand that all details regarding an expansion is subject to change. This is the nature of MMO games. If they tell us details the player base revolts, If they keep details to themselves the game is "failing" and players scream to the heavens that "BW does not care about us". Honsetly I think some players just need to reduce their dose of crazy, and increase their dose of patience.
  12. 1.) I like Star wars, First movie came out the year I was born ,been hooked ever since. It is in my DNA. 2.)I am exhausted with the caustic community from another MMO which shall remain nameless. 3.)I enjoy how each world has Multiple story arcs to cover 4.) I enjoy the "farming system" with sending crew members out for matts to supplement what I actually farm. 5.)Lightsabers and blaster fire. 'nuff said
  13. AS I typically play DPS classes/specs mostly I have only used the "healer" companions at this point. This may very well change though once I get more characters to cap (I currently have a Pub Gunnery Commando capped atm).
  14. HOw dare someone use logic. I thought MMO players were all nothing but hotheads with a serious entitlement chip on their shoulders.
  15. Even wqith the "nickel and dime routine". Still a better game than some other mmos And still a better love story than twilight.
