  1. The point is the PvP community wants people that at least try in regs. Whether that be by listening to people more experienced or by NOT wearing their 216 pve gear in regs (your bolster will be crap). Also many people who are queuing regs with said crap gear and crappy attitude would be the first ones going ballistic if you show up in an op in pvp gear, even if you actually know how to play your spec and trash their dps/hps/tps/mechanics bc you don't keyboard turn etc. Ive seen so many Pvers just afk to get their 20 wins...how many Pvpers do you see /following on GF ops saying "whatever its just SM GF! go f*** yourself, im afking"
  2. Its ok! In the time its been down I've successfully dug up all the lint from my belly button. Thank you bioware for providing me the time to accomplish this important task!
  3. Wish I had been playing Vengeance for this one. It was mad quick to get those numbers though.
  4. Path of Sith could queue next week. We need a healer though. Sorry we couldn't make it last night but we were queueing group on Pot5.
  5. If you let us know what classes are challenging you in duels I would expect we could give you some better advice as to what to do vs what advanced class and spec. I find carnage can be difficult to duel with simply because a skilled player can fairly easily cc/root/avoid most of your gore windows. All said and done, if your not jug/op/sorc you cant heal in a duel so yeah your gonna lose repeatedly to those classes unless you happen to take them off guard.
  6. People say certain classes suck in arena...Watched droid and his obroan geared scoundrel go from 0 zero rating to r3 scoundrel last night playing the so bad scrapper spec. Mad skillz kid! Keep going! Haters gonna hate. Why dey do dis?
  7. ^this Doesn't have to have rank or even give comms. It would just be fun and allows newer players to try arena and improve their skills without worry about how they will look on the website.
  8. I'd like to point out a major defensive cd against a lot of classes...pacify/obfuscate. Good use of this ability is often the difference between winning and losing. Contrary to the apparently widespread belief that its best to apply to the healer your tunneling (sarcasm inserted there) using this on classes that rely on heavy burst windows with white attacks (carnage/combat, AS/Pyro, Vigilance/Vengeance) will save your butt. For instance, if you are aware and capable enough to obfuscate a Carnage's opener, especially in duels, you will merely get hit with a non-critted maybe 3k force scream in full gear instead of gore for 2k, 25k total ravage, 12k force scream, so on so forth. Even against pyro pts, which for some reason people apparently think aren't scary (you don't play arena on PoT5), their initial damage has back to back rail shots. You would be surprised how many really good top ranked pvpers still double rail shot or high impact bolt while under obfuscate. Also against classes with execute abilities under 30% it is an amazing cd for keeping yourself alive. I cant tell you how many times as anni/watchmen I hve been dead next global, obfuscated and watch them vt/assassinate all up on me expecting the duel to be over while I pop a zerk and heal up enough to let me kill them. Same with carnage, it can keep you alive long enough to have gore come up and take someone from 40% to dead in 3 globals. I would say atm the hardest classes for me to duel are conceal and vengeance. I play with some of the best conceals and simply put a good one will just destroy you. Vengeance is self explanatory...in the hands of as capable, geared and skilled as you are they will win. Anyway sorry for wall of text I just see a lot of random obfuscates beinthrown out there and I thought maybe some people could use some clarification on what it does and how it can be used. Take the time to READ tooltips. I play with really good pvpers and many still don't understand their abilities and talents sometimes because they don't take the time to read. Hope this helps ggs and gds
  9. I played healing sorc before 2.0 quite a lot. I think giving them solid DCD would help a lot. Say maybe throwing a talent in the tree up top that shortens the duration of barrier by half but allows you to move/heal yourself and friendlies/but not cc attack enemies might be ok. Not adding another ability but kinda tweaking for a bit more liveability. Also id like to see something proc an instant cast heal. Maybe the talent that takes your 3 stacks and gives you an instant reviv go to an instant infuse or dark heal at no cost. Basically anything thing that would throw in an instant heal proccing internally around every 6-9 secs would help insanely with the lockdown from interrupts. Also just as an added point the change to "help madness" doesn't mean crap in arena right now. Non-cleansable dots? lol since sorcs are the only thing able to cleanse their dots and you see maybe 1 in about 20 matches in 4v4 I don't see how thats really game changing. Just saying essentially that "buff" already exists. In general seems like for arena non ops healers need to be buffed up to the healing level of an operative. That is going to require either "safe-casting" or more instant heals. And for sorcs some reliable DCD's that don't take them completely out of the game.
  10. That effect only applies in pve. If it applied to you in pvp someone is doing some serious hacking.
  11. This is true, but i find it hard to accept that a healer can give me a run for my money in a fight when im in all champion/centurion gear as far as damage goes. And let me make it clear this isn't a one time scenario. This happens a lot. Mercenary Heals turns and spams tracer missile on me and i have to run away and pop ALL defensive cds to have a chance to live. I'm not gonna say I am amazing at pvp, but i feel like the marksmanship sniper class in itself puts out incredible burst damage. And sitting at ~50% crit with 90% surge buffed and crit surge trinket popped im hitting 3500+ crits on about 3 abilities in about 3 secs(instant cast 100% crit snipe, 1.5 cast ambush, followthrough.) Then a channeled ability that ticks for 3 hits of 1500. Dude should be dead. That doesn't even count takedown which is a 30% below ability that crits for close to 4 k. Besides all that if they want to keep expertise the way it is at least make interrupts have a lockout on a players abilties like WoW had. It makes sense. To have a 12 sec interrupt and be all over healers with that, then see it have no affect on them makes me /facepalm. what's the point of me even interrupting?
