  1. As I already said time is not the deciding factor here. You obviously disagree but the most important part is that I didn't attack anyone who has no writing/editing skills or isn't confident enough to create guides. What i criticized is the fact that over 120-150 people killed Izax NiM before me and noone was willing to create guides or simple talkthrough-videos for every boss covering the basic mechanics and tactics. I highly doubt that all of these 120-150 people fall into the categories you mentioned. The more reasonable explanation is that noone cared enough to create them, which would be an honest answer that I could respect. Obviously you can, again, disagree with me on that because we both don't have solid proof. First of all, I didn't belittle anyone but the people who attacked/flamed/trolled us on our streams. it was necessary to point at those people to maybe help them change into more socially acceptable people. So I never insulted you or your raiding team with my post. On the other hand I am not ashamed to say what I want. It is worrisome to not just me, but many other people who sent me PNs or messages on Discord, that noone had the intention of creating guides for GftM NiM except Jaydenz who did it for tanks but not for overall tactics. It is crazy to you that someone wants the more successful players to help the others publicly? As I said already, I am very sure that everyone who got asked about GftM NiM answered to the best of their abilities and was helpful on that occasion. My problem is that in other games top guilds create guides to help others. Take Method in World of Warcraft for example. They have a class-guide for pretty much every spec and are involved in helping the community to get better. In SW:ToR the continuously raiding guilds have a different approach. They help you if you ask them. But new people don't do that. If it is still crazy to you that i want to change that attitude then so be it, I can't convince everyone. Thanks. Although I never downplayed anything I understand how you got that impression. As I already answered to nandoory's post: Plus, our excel list is complete, including rekill raiding times. How does this post not help the SW:ToR community? These are the first guides/talkthrough videos in 8 months, so of course they are helpful. Since the Izax HM guide, I did several years ago, I am on the forefront. So I didn't "catapult" myself anywhere. Rest assured that I gave everyone in <Berserk> a first look into this thread. Noone wanted me to change something. It is harshly worded but I didn't state one thing that isn't true and needed to be changed. That is your perception. It is not grounded in my initial post. On the contrary it even states that we had weaknesses that we needed to circumvent. And again, I didn't attack anyone in my initial post but the people who tried to flame us although they took longer at every boss than we did, including all the reflect stuff at Izax and having killvideos as well. Neither you nor your raiding team ever offended us. So I am not sure where you got the impression that I told you "you all suck lol". There are occasions you only create guides for your own team, but in general yes, I agree with you. What number makes you believe that? If you would post it in any Discord I wouldn't see it because I am not in there. So I am curious what makes you believe that more people are on a certain Discord server than on the forums. You don't even mention the SW:ToR forums? That surprises me. For me it was always the most accessed resource when it comes to anything regarding SW:ToR. Isn't that why the "progression board" for example is posted in the forums and not on some Discord-Server? Youtube. If Google goes bankrupt, you got me. No worries, just yesterday I joined a NiM-run on TulakHord and noone knew me. Try out other games. You will find that pretty much every MMO has a better and more social community than SW:ToR. Doesn't matter whether you look at WoW, TESO, Rift, even Tera. Guides are released on time and publicly. You have many people in these games who not only like creating guides and helping people but also do it freely without the need of appreciation that you get when someone comes to you to ask for help. Again, your post lacks arguments and evidence that would support your opinions. Like the Discord-presumption. Your opinion is that my post is terrible and came from a place of anger but, again, rest assured I have shown this thread to multiple people beforehand who might have gotten caught in the aftermath and not one of these people have the same opinion as you. Adding all the positive feedback I got in this thread, PNs and Discord-messages I don't even think that your side of the argument has the majority. I never claimed that. What I stated is that it is worrisome that not one out of 120-150 people thought it would be worth the time to create guides in 8 months. Of course you can disagree with that statement, but SW:ToR is one of the few if not the only MMO which has so few guides when it comes to PvE. Thanks, you too!
  2. What makes you believe that I said that? My answer was directed at the paragraph I quoted. Translating your post into german would get you the exact same answer. Again, directed at your paragraph about "knowing what you get into when going public", that's why I quoted it. Maybe you got confused because I didn't answer most of your other points since they were already answered multiple times in this thread. This for example was never stated by me and therefor I normally don't answer it, especially if you put it in quotation marks. What I did say was that most people are helpful to other people they deem worthy of their time, but rarely publicly by releasing guides. That's why I said "one of the reasons". There are many things in SW:ToR that led to the loss of many players but I certainly believe that the lack of interest in giving people something to aspire to is one of them. Of course not. But that has nothing to do with not creating guides. Please refrain from using Whataboutism in the future if you want an honest discussion. There are many things Bioware could do. For starters remove toxic players from the playerbase by banning them like every big MMO does it, then actually everyone has a more pleasant experience in SW:ToR. Merging the servers is something I would not look forward to but sooner or later EA will decide that the amount of severs right now is not worth the investment.
  3. On a more personal note. I couldn't care less if people disagree with me or flame me. I have done stuff like this for over a decade now and I am well aware of the basic principles you talk about. I just point out one of the reasons why this game is so small. If you have interesting guides or sources people can go to without the need of interacting with people who cleared the instance then people get intrigued to try the operation themselves. You can disagree with that point all you want but a new player who sees someone with Wings of the Architect and "Eternal Warrior" title on the fleet will aspire to achieve the same. The problem in SW:ToR is that if you put that into youtube "swtor eternal warrior" you will get the 10 best Sith armor sets instead of anything helpful because there are so few guides for raiding. Most people don't get that the "community" is bigger than the people they know. 99% of the players would benefit from guides. But your stoic behaviour towards toxicity seems weird to me. In every other game people get banned for that and you are done with it. That's the only thing I pointed out in my last paragraph. If people can't deal with that fact so be it. Not calling people out on their destructive behaviour will change nothing. So in the hope of change the only thing you can do is pointing stuff out. So all in all I can stand it very well or I wouldn't do it. But if you want to change something you can't just hide under your rock, plus I am way too old and rich to take any of these young keyboard warriors seriously. Good luck on your progression! You noticed everyone laughing right? As I said unfortunately there are no twitch logs but you should remember that you were on more than one occassion very toxic. If not kudos to your brain. For example your constant memeing about us going in "blind" that we never claimed but you repeated every second
  4. http://prntscr.com/ojsdla There are many examples. Unfortunately there are no logs for twitch chat. But if you are really interested just watch any kill on twitch.tv/raydusk and look at the chat. Please... stop using time as an excuse. Everyone has more than enough time to invest 5 hours in 6 months into the guides if they really wanted to. Time has nothing to do with the non-existence of guides. It is the cheapest excuse there is.
  5. Never claimed that. Can't answer it better than that. BTW: The toxicity didn't only come from a certain german guild that is known for having only toxic players but also from all the guilds you define as helpful and friendly. True I didn't know that. Haven't found it publicly released in the forums though. Totally valid point. Another totally valid point is that the other 2 guilds also benefited from that. It was not just for us, you got more Izax-trytime out of that as well. I clearly stated though that the 41 hours we needed were progress hours, so excluding rekills etc. If you can only progress for 3h a week because it takes you a certain amount of time to reclear then the 41 hours still are accurate. Again, totally valid point. I never claimed that anyone is bound to write them. It worries me that noone does it out of their free will.
  6. Your last edit is pretty much the attitude I despise and want to change in the SW:ToR playerbase. Again, I am not talking about everyone. I said it is hard to believe that not 1 out of 120 people didn't have the time. Time is not the limiting factor here.
  7. Reasonable arguments. I find it hard to believe though that not one out of 120 people had enough time to release guides or even simple talkthrough videos in 6-8 months. The more obvious and comprehensible reason is that "you" as in "everyone of these 120" just didn't care enough to do it or, like chip, don't think guides are a good thing. It is an understandable statement although I strongly reject it myself.
  8. First of all I don't know where you "know" that from, certainly not from me. Second you think of the "community" as the people you know. That's your whole spectrum. For example I know of 5 guilds who progress GftM NiM who you never had contact with and for those people >PUBLIC< guides are invaluable. What you claim as helping the community is in reality exactly what I wrote in my initial post
  9. Once again, you read that into it. By no means I "clearly stated" it. I gave information and facts for new guilds who want to progress GftM NiM and what they will get themselves into. I simply shared this anecdote in two sentences. How is that focussing on it? In which thread would have liked to see the talkthrough-videos? And in the future please be more specific, it is just a lot of guesswork right now what you are talking about. I know a couple of people who already got banned multiple times for a week and are still not permabanned and given my recent phone calls with customer service I know precisely how the ban system works. For example you need to do something really extreme (life threats style) 3 times to be perma banned. People who get banned for a week because of PvP-Wintrading, Exploiting etc. don't get one of these 3 strikes. Which is ridiculous compared to other MMOs.
  10. You read something into my post that is not there. I gave you facts. What conclusions you draw from that is up to you. I came to the conclusion that I don't care about comparing <Berserk> to other guilds. How you got to believing that I think <Berserk> is superior to everyone else is beyond me. I criticized people who flamed us for taking "that long" on the GftM bosses when they took over 2 months to kill a single boss after kill-videos were released themselves.
  11. Again, never claimed that but you seem to be immune to reason. And yes, I want to change the behaviour of people here. Not even 1% of the successful raiders think it would be a good idea to release guides. That is a deficiency of the SW:ToR raiding community. You can disagree on that but instead you went for insults and being unreasonable. I wonder why there is not a massive *****torm under every fatboss video guide for new WoW-Bosses but instead 99% likes over dislikes... That is another basic point of what is going wrong in the SW:ToR playerbase, pointless toxicity.
  12. I don't know how often I have to repeat that, but I never said that we are going in "blind". If you are looking for sources you will find none. The word "publicly" is there for a reason in my original post. Noone publicly helped other groups and not just the ones who asked for help. Thanks for the congratulations! Again, never said anything of the sort. We simply said how long we took to clear it. I didn't shame anyone who took longer. That's reasonable. We have a different perception here. I like the WoW-raidingcommunity a lot more because there are publicly released guides even during PTS and still the WorldFirstRace is the biggest thing on twitch since Method started streaming. I never discredited the efforts and accomplishments of others. If you feel that way it is not based on my post. I simply gave out all the facts I have. The only thing I stated is that there is no public help for groups looking for it and given the hate in this thread I am pretty sure my post is on point. BTW: The <Better Now> claims are just hilarious. We had one player of Better Now at 5 out of 15 raiding days and (sorry lukas) he didn't help much but just complained about not wanting to progress again. But w/e you won't believe that anyways
