  1. meep! and oooOOOooo and yeah! I like Kira's eyes, and I heard epic music booming when Praven got to "my master."
  2. Aw, Dad!Quinn. Unflinchingly pragmatic, but also kind when he wants to be.
  3. Whirlwind round of comments! @drug_cartel Ahh, Pansey's problem-solving with the novel Willsaam solution - I love it. @frauzet Thorns sass. I love that he's alert, he has a full appreciation of the gravity of his situation, and he still wonders about sugared nerfs. @Iheaca "Getting closer to a former enemy bore unpleasant consequences, it was making everything more personal, too personal perhaps." *winces* Yeah...he had to ask, but man is it an unpleasant question. @Lord_Thorne !! Photin!! I liked the almost tunnel vision of this sequence - very few elements outside the awareness of body and body. @Lady_Thorne Quite the breakdown! I like (in a "what a shame" way) the...distinction...of being a Cathar singleton. A piece of worldbuilding beyond what the game handed us.
  4. Self-help for Jedi. I love it. Looks like my drabbles missed the mark. Next week will probably be something a little deeper with a little fewer people.
  5. I just finished publishing what might be called an epic fic elsewhere. As recovery, an eight-pack of drabbles about Standards, which I believe is our upcoming prompt! I don’t expect feedback on all of these, they’re pretty far-flung: one for every class character. The timing runs from Act 2 of the class line to year 2 of Knights of Miscellany. Obscure spoilers for Imperial Agent Act 2. Almost exactly 800 words, not counting headings.
  6. What a hopping thread! @JamagsAwesome Daal's commentary is wonderful, and Thrakkis's persistence is scary. As for Rikynn, I am a sucker for people having heroes in their youth that they grow into as adults. @JennyFlynn I've never read such a vivid action report of awful kissing. XD @Lord_Thorne How wrenching Even knowing the things Photin is destined for, it's hard. Taking her name is such a brutal cut. Then again I'm imagining her teaming up with a Jedi named Synthesis and having plant-based adventures all over the galaxy...
  7. Lookit me, getting to communicate on the official forums! That assassin vs. serial killer thing was a wonderful moment. Xyre is just the right level of "wait, how much does she know?" I certainly didn't expect her rendition of Oricon. I feel bad for Xalkory trying to maintain something of a grip on much of anything. Some major currents going on here. Delighted by the update
  8. @drug_cartel *hyperventilates* ?Iokath? spoilers
  9. Replies: @JamagsAwesome I always wanted to flirt with Attros Finn (the Jedi tending Yuon Par on the Consular's Coruscant), but my actual Consular never would...so then when I listed OC exes to see who might be interesting, Attros rocketed to the fore. Also, I remember that Carth&Canderous exchange! Some of my characters lean much more toward Carth's view. Comments: @JamagsAwesome It's heartbreaking to see a kid that age having to make up anything, much less try to save a parent's life by it. Good origin story, though. Ja-Mags is interesting. I like a Knight who shows some actual attunement to the galaxy from time to time (though I realize it's hard for a game to implement that). I feel like "“Don’t flatter yourself, young one,” Master Drenn joked, “I sincerely hope you aren’t trying to impress all the Sith girls.”" did a good job of defusing sexual tension. Sometimes you just want your kid to get dressed. @Iheaca Your ideas of Sith not bothering to extinguish all cultural practices make sense. @Lord_Thorne Definitely on my "dark" list, but I love how this one played out. It really feels like a guy sitting down and half reporting, half reciting what's happened. Killer last two lines.
  10. Comments: Sorry, when I thought about Kissing Frogs I thought about one guy. And one girl. Guess which one is the frog. Spoilers for Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular Coruscant. A/N.
  11. Comments: Tired but also Vacation for Calline, Grand Champion of the Great Hunt in the Ruth!verse and followon Knights of the Dawning Alliance. Her time on Rishi during Shadow of Revan is a little…hectic. Minor Shadow of Revan spoilers. A/N.
  12. Comments: Story: Mistakes were Made! This was a challenge for me until I realized that it could get me out of a bind. See, Darth Scythia’s first officer Andronikos Revel isn’t a good fit for her possessive nature, and I had struggled to figure out how he escapes her inner circle…spoilers for early Andronikos conversations. This comes in two parts. Part 1: Part 2: A/N.
  13. Darmas...oh no he didn't. Oh no he didn't. OH NO HE DIDN'T. Loved this chapter.
  14. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It’s May 31st – the sixth anniversary of the SFC on the SWTOR forums! It was a thread on the SWTOR Story and Lore forum where elliotcat suggested making a thread in the Fan Fiction forum, and over a troupe of budding (and established) fanfiction writers went, and the rest, well, is six thousand posts and counting! The forum mods gave us a special exemption to exceed 1000 posts in a single thread, and boy did we run with that. I want to say a big THANK YOU, to our founders, our authors, our commenters, our readers, our prompters, our archivists, our open-minded forum mods, and every fan whose passion and creativity helped build (and view!) what is probably the biggest and most diverse SWTOR fic thread on this planet or any other. It's been a pleasure, and I don't think we're done yet. Any veterans want to share a memory or two? Or newer authors, with what brought them to this neighborhood? ^.^ As a nod to our storied history, and a way of rescuing what Photobucket ate, I'm bringing back the charts describing the thread's growth and contents from 500 to 2300 story posts! (This isn't complete - we're at 2628 stories now!) I seem to be unable to embed images, but I can link them, and there’s trivia in plain text. 500 Stories 1000 Stories (I lost my files for this one but there’s some plain text from the old post!) 1500 stories 2000 Stories And, finally, 2300 stories: And that’s the history, friends! Write on!
