Heh, well I guess partial success is better than nothing... I received an e-mail yesterday that most (but not all) of my characters were restored. The message also said that I would have to rename all of them as they came back with strange code names. Fine, fine. Problem is that every time I log on each of the character's names are in red because "that name has been rejected by Bioware" NO MATTER WHAT I NAME THEM! It took 2 months to fix a coding problem that damaged my enjoyment of the game (erasing characters for no reason) and now I have to rename them every time to play?! Very poor form.

And as of today, not one character has been restored...

Just curious if this has hit other players and not just me. I was a subscriber until 3 months ago, having a level 50, 2-3 level 30s, and a bunch of low level toons to try stuff out. I logged on when it went Free To Play and saw my initial server had 8/2 slots filled. I also noticed that several characters had been moved due to servers going away. Makes sense so far. Seeing my characters again brought back good memories so I figured I would give it a try again and subscribe a couple of days later, so I did through the website. When I logged back on, I saw my level 50 character and one other low-level alt on another server - that's it. The rest of my characters had been deleted. I talked with a nice gentleman on the phone at Bioware support, and we went through my old character list one by one so he could type what characters to try to get back. It was a fairly long process. I haven't seen them back yet, but as some of my old characters had fairly common names, I'm afraid I've lost those names during this deletion time. Anyone else had this happen to them?
