  1. Well, as you grow in power; previous enemies may steer away from you out of fear. That's always kinda struck me as off in the traditional MMORPG model. Enemies never flee, they have no sense of self preservation. If I were given some guard duty and was face to face with someone who slew an emperor, or Revan, etc., I might give pause to surrendering before running after said person on a swoop. But hey, it's immersive to be limitlessly resurrected when your bar goes empty. Nightmare mode anyone?
  2. Just to revitalize older areas that you will also be running in to maintain and complete current content. KotFE is to BioWare what Cataclysm was to WoW. They're just trying to lengthen the grind so you can't just walk in and clear the 40-50 mobs you need to get your alliance crates too quickly, so you can invade Heroic StarFortresses. The new xPac seems all about grinding . . . everywhere. One of the chief complaints in the past was that at "Elder Game" level, players ran out of things to do and put that content on easy farm. So much so they've revitalized incentives for rolling 8 toons past the original chapter 3, aka level 50. Immersion is already broken with numbers, and buttons, and stats . . . if this were the StarWars like the movies; players could kill and be killed in one or two deadly strikes, and maybe longer by a few minute duel.
  3. Mine actually didn't get remedied until today. Oddly enough it even came with the welcome to early access email.
  4. Way to contribute a healthy non-combative conversation. "You're too stupid to" realize that community members, even one as ill-tempered as you, are important to keep the game alive. So why all the angst?
  5. Using your terrific logic against itself I present the following: I've been an EA customer for literally 30 years. I purchased 8 collector's edition copies of SWtOR and maintain most of the subscriptions in my household. I have spent literally thousands of dollars on EA titles and microtransactions over my lifetime. I'm guessing you haven't spent as much as I have, so therefore you shouldn't even have the ability to post if I say so;BECAUSE I'm a far better and more valued customer than you are. Makes sense correct?
  6. Hey bud, check your game client folders for an executable called bitraider.exe. If it's there try locating this program within your programs list and uninstall it. If it's not on the list, you may need to manually remove it and it's folder. Additionally, there's an option in the launcher that you'll want to disable to prevent this peer to peer client from reinstalling. BitRaider is designed to download clientside files on the fly but for some reason doesn't always work correctly; and consequently doesn't always "repair" what's broken. If this is indeed the culprit, better instructions are here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=7826333
  7. Despite the engaging discussion here, I'm pretty sure the OP trolled us. But I may be wrong.
  8. I'm with you, which is why 7 days later after relentlessly pursuing Customer Service advocacy I'm still having issues. Where else can you go if you can't get the help you need or a solid answer as to why the issue isn't fixed, when it's been promised every day, within a day, it would be. I'm not sure where to get the assistance I've been committed to receive. Thoughts, anyone?
  9. The OP didn't say they "hate" EA just that they felt disappointed and duped. But your investment to be upset at a community member that is upset about something that isn't really affecting you is curious.
  10. Not everyone thought there was necessarily a problem. Good of you to jump in at the last minute and get your two troll cents in on top of some pretty good non-flagrant conversation amongst community members trying to solve or exact change for a problem they didn't necessarily know they had until they knew they had it. It's players like you that give the rest of us a bad name and attitude. But, maybe this is the kind of change and impact you'd like to have. Being part of the problem as opposed to being part of the solution. Moreover, if CS isn't able to correct the issue for those that have it, making a post isn't necessarily being whiny . . . it's your voice to find a solution. Glad you chimed in.
  11. You can't post in CS any longer. Those forums are "read only." It's merged with the EA Answer HQ whom have explicitly said they don't handle BioWare games, specifically SWtOR. Your friend not feeling emboldened to engage customer service really shouldn't give you the right to denounce or minimize someone else's billing negligence by one hour, one minute, or any length of time.
  12. You sure can. If you drive, walk, locomote, fly, sing, dance, (insert most verbs here) continuously or for more than 24 hours, you're still performing that action on more than one date, or range of dates. ^this I don't always care about the rewards, but if I unsubbed for myriad reasons and just happened to be looking for a new game to play, I might come back and sub hopefully with early access if I received an email with an oddly worded promotion that lead me to believe I had early access when I met a condition. In this case, the condition would be performing the action of subscribing anytime from August 10th - October 19th. Couldn't agree more. And as you stated earlier it wouldn't have taken a whole lot to correct, or at least offer apologies. I like coffee. Sub-minimum wage delivered sometimes too . . . That's true, but exacting or not exacting change to help mold a community you enjoy playing in, doesn't mean you should 100% rally behind anything. But as I've said continuously, there's more to life than being right. Yeah, actually, they can and will if consumer outcry is great. Why don't you ask SOE about the "The Trials of Obi-Wan?"
