  1. This doesn't even make any sense. I mean I understand that the query itself will probably cause more load with shorter input, but the result pools themselves will be MUCH larger. Is this really better? (sorry, I'm not a developer)... Anyway, you are making UI changes that are making your user interface unusable. The most important aspect to UI programming is usability. If usability is poor, then users won't use it.... Please either adjust this by allowing the numeric search terms as a secondary parameter, or just revert to the old method and let us deal with laggy searches. Laggy searches is far more preferable than having hundreds of pages of results when trying to find a specific item.
  2. I stopped reading when I got to this statement... I'm not sure what you think of as 'easy', but this is the easiest MMO to level in ever, in the history of MMO's. I've tried many MMO's, and played several extensively, and never managed to get a character to max level. i usually got bored with the grind, or just lost interest in the game before that happened. In this game, I have 8 max level characters, and have gotten to experience some end game material (all of the Hard Mode Flashpoints). Something I've never managed to do in other games. There are certainly a lot of flaws in the game.. no game is perfect.. but "It's too hard" is not a legitimate complaint.. sorry..
  3. Hmm.. came up english for me... However, I have also experienced the forums trying to insist I speak (or read) a different language. It's happened infrequently, for a long time.. maybe as long as I've been playing (April?), but it seems to happen mostly after I've attempted to visit the forums downtime (patch day). It has happened more frequently, and more randomly recently, and not always when clicking in from Google. I have a bunch of bookmarks to forum posts here, and I've had those come up with German as well. Sometimes clicking the "EN" button works.. but it usually takes several tries before it 'sticks'. Most of this is just circumstantial hindsight observation. If it happens again, I'll pay more attention to specifics and come back here and post...
  4. I know the devs have put a lot of time and effort into giving us a wide variety of customizeable and in some cases adaptive armor. Then when our characters get to 50, they give us 99 Tionese commendations that have set bonuses, and force us to either wear the (almost universally ugly) Tionese gear for the set bonus, or give up the bonus and wear the gear we prefer the looks of.? This seems counterproductive to me. Any chance of moving the Set Bonus for the Tionese stuff to the armoring or mods, like the Black Hole pieces? This would at least give us the option of keeping the appearance stuff we like...
  5. I was forced, against my will, to go to SCORPIO for my level 50/Corellia missions, and once I got through the pain of gearing her up, I decided I liked her(?) better anyway. As a concealment Opereative, I don't care about companion DPS output.. i just want her to get as much agro on as many things as possible, so I can kill them. I always gear them using as much defense/tanking gear as possible (as opposed to DPS gear).
  6. I might be able to get behind this petition for the colored Matrix Shards, although I'm a little conflicted about it. The +stat Datacrons? Not so much. Especially not the +10 They give a stat boost that should not be able to be purchased for Cartel Coins.
  7. Patch notes don't only apply to client side patches. Patch notes are where you inform players who don't read the forums about any changes that may affect them. I would think with changes as significant as the server mergers, something would have been put in the patch notes.
  8. The patch notes page still has 9/13 patch notes as the most recent... http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes
  9. I came to this game for PvE/Story in a Star Wars universe. I'm sure I'm not the only one. At launch I was playing with a dozen or so 'Star Wars' geeks, who were all excited about playing an MMO in a Star Wars universe. For most of them, it was their first MMO. As fhe first month or two went by, we collected up more Star Wars fans, formed a guild, and had a lot of fun playing the game. We do a little light PvP (helping defend a city, or friendly player when needed, etc...), but PvP is not a central focus to our game play. Since that time, our guild of 30 or so players has dwindled to three who still have active subscriptions. The major reason they don't log in any more is lack of content updates (no new stories, new planets, new NPC's, companions, etc...). Even the little things. One female friend complained that she had leveled her Scoundrel, romanced Corso, ended up marrying him, and now he won't speak to her. Once the current story ends, it just ends. Nothign has changed in this regard since the game launched in December. Our companions, characters we spend almost all of our time with, are nothing but non-conversational meat bags. The Codex is broken. One of the things that I enjoyed was the Codex. Learning about the worlds, characters, organizations, etc... it was fascinating... at least it had the potential to be. Instead it's broken, badly. Many of the 'achievements' are broken completely. There are many items that are just not in the game. Achievements for completing codex entries has so much potential. If done well, it could even be an alternative mechanism to advance you characters. Instead, its mostly ignored by most players. As far as I know, not a single minute of development time has been devoted to fixing/updating the codex. There are many many threads in various forums on this site where players are asking for more story, more content, more depth to the story. Instead, we get PvP balance... It's really frustrating. I really want to love this game. I really do. The amount of time the developers are dedicating to PvP in the game is discouraging, especially with all of the attention given to the layoffs of staff and developers. The Star Wars universe, an IP that I'm sure they paid a ton of money for, has so much story potential, and yet instead of developing more Star Wars story, PvP gets all of the developer attention. This discourages me about the future of this game.
  10. Throwing my vote in for... 1. Ship customization/housing 2. More/ongoing companion story for existing companions (why won't my husband speak to me?) 3. More customization options for amour (player and companion). Customization tabs, et. al...
