  1. Can't believe such a good idea never got any attention from the Dev's. Someone mentioned EQ2 and even though I never played it, I was told it's profession based levelling (as opposed to this skill based) made it very similar to Star Wars Galaxies MMO. I used the play SWG during the Pre-CU era and I would visit and revisit many of the planets. This included pure exploration, random missions taken from terminals, doing theme parks with good rewards or taking on World Boss type enemies such as a Krayt dragon in groups etc. The best thing about that MMO was even though the play area might have been smaller, it was truly open (unlike the on-rails movement we have here) which allowed for player houses and towns/cities etc ... which lead to even more interaction and travelling to and from planets. Also players could craft powerful equipment/buffs etc and also setup vendors in their cities. I was excited when I heard about strongholds but it turned out to be another instanced based update and therefore nothing like what I described. Not sure they will ever do anything to give us incentive to revisit planets and that combined with a pointless crafting system keeps me a very casual player unfortunately.
  2. Hi, I'm a returning player and looking to join a casual guild. Wondering if you are REP or EMP or both ? Thanks
  3. During the leveling phase of your toon's life, you would have interacted with many NPC's that affected your story line. Shortly after the quests, you'd normally get an email from them with a Gift. How about if you extended that so that these NPC's contact you again later or periodically to completed search/destroy missions that can take you back to planets you normally have little reason to visit. Players could follow clues from spawned datapads (which means you dont have to worry about voice acting) and these could be open world or instanced or both. Even add chance to get some decent loot from them. It would make a nice addition to end game instead of having to the same tired dailies/FP's etc ... and since it's datapad based .... very easy to implement ?
  4. Precisely, can't be that bloody difficult. Vote = Yes
  5. It would be nice to see companion without idiotic looking headgear as well ...
  6. Was going to post something similar but OP pretty much echos my thoughts. Read a decent idea in here to kill the space stn's and make hubs ground based. Add higher lvl mobs/FP's etc to the lower level planets. Very surprised that a CSR hasn't even responded to this.
  7. I did the same exact thing by mistake because I looked at the wrong part of the GUI and missed the Lightside Restriction. Raised a ticket. They responded after it being open for 3 days stating they have passed it onto the CSR team and the ticket was automatically closed. So not sure what that means now, if the ticket is closed but CSR team responds, then all good but my toon will probably have outgrown the stats on the item by then. If the whole matter is closed then it's a disappointing system. New players are bound to make mistakes (like us) but it's a balance between learning the hardway and giving newbies a lifeline and good support ... i dunno
