  1. For all those wondering, yes more Class Story exists in the game files. So does Podracing. So does a warzone based around turrents on Makeb. So does Ziost. So does Yavin IV. So does Sleheyron. So does Bothawui. Just because they PLANNED (or wrote) the content, and got the game ready for it, doesn't mean it will EVER happen. Subscriber numbers dropped off a cliff, the game went from 500+ developers (plus a satellite studio in Singapore making art assets) to about 150. There is no money or staff for class stories chaps.
  2. THERE IS NO MONEY IN THE BANK FOR CLASS STORIES! There's really nothing I can say except that. If you can convince 500,000 of your closest pals to start paying $15 a month for more class story, go ahead. At the moment, they can't afford it with the income they are getting from the game.
  3. How hard is it to understand? There is NO MONEY FOR CLASS STORY. For every hour of class story, they could make FOUR hours of planetary story. Class story is not feasible as long as the game has less than a million subs, and I doubt it'll have more than that anytime soon.
  4. It is accurate. But it is not a planet like Makeb. Think more like Ilum. There will be a short storyline, maybe with some choices, followed by MAYBE a new daily area, and also the entrance to two new raids. But it will be an 'open world' location from what we can gather.
  5. Oh come on there's no characters development in the whole of swtor. It's not like your character changes from one person to another. They remain a doubtless ****** fearless hero throughout.
  6. People have datamined: -Varl -Rakata Prime -Sleheyron -Bothawui -Yavin IV -Ziost This does not mean these are happening. When SWTOR was released, more than 500 people were working on the game. Now only 150 people are. It's important to remember that some of this content may NEVER happen, and even if it does it could be years away, and in a very different form. It is clear from writer tweets etc. that more class content was written. Base game writing was completed in 2009/2010 and yet these 8-12 writers were working on the game until mid 2012. But just because they wrote the dialogue, doesn't mean the cutscenes will be designed and the missions actually built. Class stories are just too expensive. Unless the game gains lots of players and they can hire more devs, more story is unlikely.
  7. I, like many people in this thread, got Mira's outfit. And it looked pretty cool. I even TRIED SOME ACTUAL DYES ON IT in the preview window and they came up. Yeah, so I didn't think to recheck if it had a dye slot, and that was dumb, but still. There's really no reason not to do this. I didn't want to use this outfit to respect the memory of some character from a 9-year-old game. I wanted to use it because I thought it would look cool when dyed. Please let us dye Lore Outfits. You can already Unify them anyway!
  8. OR he could mean that they will hire new people to make new MMOs. Kind of like Bioware Edmonton made Mass Effect AND Dragon Age.
  9. The best thing about all the gameplay footage released so far has to be the clearly higher quality cutscenes that the expansion has. Compared to something like Mass Effect, even though the core storytelling isn't much different, the game is far more immersive because objects exist, people actually TOUCH the things they're holding, buildings collapse around you, and cutscenes are not just static. Compare that to SWTOR, where almost all cutscenes are just higher conversations. Even the 'landing/leaving a planet' cutscenes are of a significantly higher quality in ME3, despite the fact that it only came out three months after SWTOR. ROTHC looks to change this. From the ship landing, to the building falling down in front of you, to the skyhook and the 'jumping on a car on Nar Shaddaa' bit, it looks like you've really improved. I just want to say that I've noticed, and it looks amazing. Thanks
  10. Looks incredible. Is that a mission involving jumping onto a moving skycar on Nar Shaddaa? Aiming a gun on Makeb? .....
  11. Is the 'big new system' achievements? It's got to be bigger than that, right? right? right?
  12. One thing I'm always surprised by (and have been again) is the massive difference in terms of graphical quality, between operations and planets. With planets we expect boring, wide open 'mob fields' with few visual touches or unique moments. This is despite the fact we spend a dozen hours or more on some of the later worlds. Operations are only 3 hours long (if that) and they look so much better. Even more so, many MORE players do planets than operations (obviously, since unless you level by PVP you have to do one to do the other) so it doesn't even make sense. BW, please put some love into story areas from now on, not just operations
