  1. You can go into your business 1-0-1 lesson all you want i asked you to produce the 1.2 mil subs that you are throwing around there. You cant....period.... I agree with you on restrictions for free loader players but this game went free to play because its a flop of a game and that isnt going to change unless they add about 2 more years worth of content and stop breaking things every single patch. You got poor guys for multi patch cycles with crashes to desktop and its still not fixed or barely addressed . Customer service is worse than india based CS for someone like Dell or HP and you have a lead designer who is so damn out of touch with reality of mmo players its not even funny. Like I said show me this game has 1.2 mil subs right now because there is no way in hell it does and probably never did the way these servers crashed and burned for the first 6 months of this games life. This sinking ship is taking the place of AOC and Warhammer Online for worst flop in history regardless of what the VERY VOCAL minority like yourself think
  2. lmfao 1 mil plus in subs ? show us where you get this info and please do not use mmorpg.com because they are clueless and wouldnt know either . I havent seen a 1.2 mil sub fake post from Failware here in well over 6 months. If you seriously think this game has 1.2 million subs you need your head checked. Companies dont go free to play with a revenue of 15 mil a month sorry......
  3. this is what happened to warhammer online and mythic when EA started the layoffs over there to. Its only a matter of time before its complete silence when EA lays off the rest of the devs and gets their skeleton crew to milk this game for as much as possible like they did for warhammer the last 3 years now. This is EA at its finest and it shows you just how out of touch this company is with its player base just like mythic was. Ironic Jeff Hickman was one of the main players at mythic with rob denton and mark jacobs that destroyed warhammer online and everyone hated , yet hes still here just in texas now instead of virginia and his attitude is identical when they sunk warhammer online , so I expect the same here.
  4. Same here i been playing off and on since beta and this month i cancelled both our accounts due to the horrible customer service here. Great shell of a game but the customer service is terrible here.
  5. okay its not ram that is the issue causing this , run the mentioned memory fixer in this thread at the end of page 3 and you can see for yourself. It will still crash to desktop every few hours no matter how much ram is being used. Ive even put some of the game into virtual memory using swtor-unleashed and it still crashes to desktop every couple of hours. This issue needs to be resolved its been going on for months now without any official dev response in the sticky thread and its experienced by a large portion of the community.
  6. while this game does have memory leaks it isnt the issue causing the constant every couple of hours crash to desktop. I have been testing myself and this game eats up WAY to much ram to begin with when it shouldnt. If you run a real time memory cleaner you will see what i mean. Clear your ram and your disc cache it will drop your ram all the way back down to less than a gig of ram being used even with everything on max for settings. But still even running the game at as little as 8 or 900 megs of ram the game will still lock up and crash and become unstable. There is a huge sticky thread on this exact issue in the customer service section titled crashes to desktop so they are well aware of it. The fact though that not one dev post is spoken on a severe issue that a lot of the community is experiencing speaks volumes about what this team is about now. Just a simple we are trying to fix the problem would help out this community a ton since they have not addressed this issue for many patch cycles. Everyone who is experiencing these serious issues like memory leaks and crashes need to cancel their accounts until this gets fixed is about the only way to force these idiots to actually do their damn job.
  7. considering action bars are now pretty much for sale everywhere on the servers auction housing for 100k credits and hes level 50 and can run dailies i dont even see this as a problem anymore considering with less than a weeks worth of work put in you have all your action bars back and wont have to unlock them ever again
  8. See this is my opinion on credit caps , i think they should keep them and honestly compare things this way. The expensive rare speeder is 250k credits , you make about 50 k credits a day doing your dailies etc. Right now and for awhile now the market has been inflated by bloated greedy players to be perfectly honest. Paying10k for a blue armor mod or 15k for a low level purple mod is stupid . Crystals going for 4 mil credits on my shard at level 50 , even something not so rare , the trooper gun on my shard is 150k credits for something cosmetic and not even that rare. I hope they keep the credit cap as it will bring down prices over time and not keep them inflated like wow has. I know people do not like to hear it but Guild wars 2 economy is ten thousand times better than swtor or wow or even rift for that matter because it keeps prices down by it being a global economy with all servers. People need to stop charging a arm and a leg for pixels in game period because 4 mil credits is stupid prices for stuff like mods and crystals. This game would do MUCH better if players actually helped one another more for groups by gearing up others with more competitive prices instead of ************ and moaning about people being under-geared .
  9. http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/367/feature/6910/Chatting-SWTOR-F2P-with-Blaine-Christine.html/page/1 Read up sounds almost like bioware is going to lift some more restrictions soon based on feedback but maybe im just wishful thinking for you guys.
  10. you cant be serious...... it doesnt matter what side your on , ive played both on different servers even before the merge and its the classic argument of premade vs pug. If you pug warzones all the time or just have unlucky rounds. Its like this in all games ive played since DAOC. Also my server on alliance in wow dominated horde even in premade teams so maybe you should reroll another server? or find some good pvpers to team up with.
  11. I ran some tests myself tonight in between my niners beating the hell out of the bears! (had to throw that in there) and my game maxed out starts at around 1.5 gigs of ram used. I put low player count in there as having to draw more players means you use more system ram not graphics. For about an hour i watched a slow uptick in ram used until it hit about 1.8 gigs used then it shut off. This is a perfect example of faulty coding and a memory leak that isnt going to change unless Bioware fixes it. Everything works fine until the magic 1.8 mark then its instant crash. I also did this running without sweetfx installed and with low settings to see if there is any difference but both other tests do the exact same thing just different speeds. Its def a memory leak issue and has to be fixed by the devs in a hotfix or something soon. If people been having this issue since beta maybe its time seriously to lay off the tech help and hire some new ones because this is not something that should still be in game for many many patch cycles.
  12. i understand you are trying to be helpful but please read the topic at hand and just more than skim the posts. This has absolutely nothing to do with overheating GPU CPUs overclocking anything even remotely close. This is a client side bug that only bioware can fix because somewhere in their atrocious code there is a memory leak causing memory to continue to grow with each minute that passes until your computer cannot take it and dumps the game files to release ram.
  13. they have this topic already sticked on the customer service page top of the page. The game crashes on 32OS around 1.7.1.8 memory used and they seem to be working on the problem though this topic is now spanning months..... I figured out my problem with it though its probably not related to a fix as mine had to do with limiting LAA to 2gigs of memory which was causing the crash using sweetfx shaders. Its def related to a memory leak that only bioware can fix with this game , there isnt any workarounds.
  14. adding more ram isnt really the issue , this is a memory leak that will continue to destroy ram and will only make your sessions last a bit longer. Ive been pretty happy with this game for awhile now and think its heading in the right direction but this is a deal breaker to me as its been around for way to long and im getting past the point of frustration and into the point of im about to speak with my wallet and hopefully get some of this horrible tech team on notice. Im on windows 7 64 with 8 gigs of ram and a decent gaming system , its not some low end needing ram system or slow proc so its not my machine at all. Games do not use more than 2 to 3 gigs of ram and no reason SWTOR should be burning through gig after gig the longer you play finally crashing to desktop when your system cannot handle it anymore. Here is some things that might be an attributing factor that im going to test myself. I use SweetFX for my DX9 and am going to remove it and play awhile(god this game is atrocious without it) and see if removing the ram uses with LAA is causing the extra ram issues. Also I wonder if its any one graphics setting that is leaking resources and causing the crashes , I know in some games shadows are done really piss poorly and lead to overtaxing the gpu or cpu if they are bound to cpu. But i have a feeling this is not the case being memory is more for system files and not dx9 files.
  15. this is a common issue that many people are having and has been going on since 1.4 and they seem to be aware of it. It doest matter if you play in windowed or full screen it crashes to desktop when it goes over the amount of ram you have. Its a memory leak and so far no one seems to have a work around other than buying more ram for your pc until Bioware fixes it. If they dont within a week or two im leaving this game behind honestly as a sub for months because there just isnt any excuse for this being this long in game.
