  1. While I feel your pain this comes off as too whiny and deserves all the criticism you've gotten. I plunked down 46mil before getting what I wanted - and was pretty unhappy when, 40mil into it, had foul luck - but the event is designed to get credits off the server. Inflation on the GTN is wildly out of control. If they're not going to give us some of the other credit sinks we're asking for - like player housing on Hoth - then this event is the best way to do it. My wife had similar luck. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't green with envy.
  2. I wish I had that kind of time but I don't. With the cash to burn, I chose to burn it but was still pretty unhappy with the first run I had. I'm pretty happy with where my luck took me after I wrote a post belly-aching about it tho. It definitely is a bit annoying. I wish you luck.
  3. While I'm pleased to see the Cartel Market Certificates dropping, they're not dropping at a reasonable rate for everyone. I'm just under 40mil into the casino this time around (no kingpin plays unbuffed) for a net of 17 Golden Certs and 7 CMC. I figure this as an average cost of 1.6mil per cert. Pretty steep IMO. I see others having better luck and I'm happy for them but can't help being a bit jealous. Edit: After posting this, I ran another 6mil and picked up 21 Golden/Cartel certs and the Rodian merc. Massive upturn in luck. Total Cost: 46mil. Yield 31 Golden, 14 CMC, Rodian Merc. Cost per cert: 1.02mil
  4. Make the discounted rates permanent please. It's a load of hog manure that the account unlocks remain so expensive.
  5. I'll keep this short. There are a few Cartel Market electrostaves that are very attractive but unusable for dolling up companions with double-bladed-saber or techstaff proficiency. Is there a reason for this? The Vector Hyllus companion is capable of utilizing both techstaff and electrostaff. Limits on electrostaff make them a less popular product in the Cartel Market so I would propose altering the proficiency required to use these or add electrostaff proficiency to double-bladed-saber & techstaff companions such as Kira Carsen, Qyzen Fess and Nadia Grell.
  6. In-game purchase has been broken for some time. I guess making it easier and more convenient for us to give them our money isn't a priority.
  7. I'd second this if anyone was paying attention. ...also opening up electrostaves to Kira/Nadia companions.
  8. Cast times are identical but often, the animation times don't match up. There are certain classes that allow you to clip animations off at the end of cast times. Not saying this is the case or isn't the case. I personally hate the class and have refused to play it for some time. There may be something to what you're saying though. Sorc seems to play smoother in a few ways and that's maybe just the perception/mentality of us, the viewer.
  9. "strengthened the identity of each class path" I can't help seeing this more as "we've removed more customization from your characters" but maybe that's just the old DAoC, Shadowbane, SWG player in me. I won't nay-say it until I see it in practice but...
  10. In the MMO market, subscription games are the way of the past. With the dramatic influx of new players for the experienced few among us to manhandle, the best days of this game can only be ahead. I tend to remain of few words on forums but I have to disagree that the 'glory days' of this game are in the past. Whether you favor SWTOR for the personal story or the endgame, it can only improve with a larger player-base. See you around.
  11. Given the dubiously canon nature of many of Ventress's 'OMG' moments, there's no doubt in this match-up. Bastilla Shan may have had a primary function leaning toward directing large groups with her battle meditation but her role in the events following Revan's adventures shows that she is vastly more experienced in Force lore and lightsaber combat, The Clone Wars cartoon may paint Asaji Ventress in a favorable light but her skills are rudimentary at best and she has no discipline or deep Force connection.
  12. The core design of the AT-AT was perfectly in line with Palpatine's New Order doctrine. It was a large and fear-inducing vehicle with dramatic effects on a battlefield. Calling it a stupid design is typical of the armchair fan-base that doesn't look past the obvious. In detail, the core canon is actually well thought out. As an armored transport, no conventional armed response was capable of stopping the At-AT from delivering its payload. This was amply demonstrated in episode 5, if you cared to be a true fan.
  13. The Vong should never have been approved as canon for the EU to begin with.
