  1. I don't understand their pricing at all. At $3.00 if 500,000 people bought it (I have no idea how many active players there are currently) they would make $1.5 mil. At its current price 100,000 people have to purchase it to make the same amount of money. I refuse to believe there are 100,000 people playing this game with no concept at all of the value of a dollar. At the most they should have priced it at 5 dollars. Really it is only worth 2 bucks since it is only for one character instead of an account.
  2. It is like an ARPG, but with really boring loot. I think psychologically the game doesn't give you that need to play it like many arpg's do. All it is, is running from marker to marker helping random people do boring quests. People praised the DAoC -like PvP, but the PvE is so boring that I couldn't continue playing. I can't even enter a dungeon without having a group, and I HATE spamming the chat while waiting at the entrance just to do one. I am still waiting for a new MMO that really captures the sense of community like DAoC did. That won't happen until they get away from instanced areas. This is the single worst MMO trend to date. I met alot of people in the older MMO's by going into a dungeon and meeting people who wanted to group up to tackle a harder section of each dungeon. Now in new MMO's everyone waits at the entrance spamming LFG. It is just a terrible design that splits up the community.
  3. The game takes a long time. My sister had to wait about 9 hours. My download only took 5 or 6 hours. I guess it really just depends on what time of day you are downloading. If they don't use a peer-to-peer client, it would probably improve speeds alot if they did.
  4. I was thinking the exact same thing when I opened the thread. Dude is either seriously Republican and loves to brag about his financial superiority, or its a dumb kid or old loser trying to make friends by seeming important. I'm 31, a carpenter working as a foreman(depending on the project) for a company that probably moves around a few million a year, but honestly I have no clue. Gaming is the only hobby that stuck for me, and I'll be doing it until I die.
  5. According to the military that I used to work with, gold is expensive not because of how rare it is, but because the U.S. government buys it up and trades it to countries we have a debt with. It is one of the few currencies they accept as payment. This is why all these "cash for gold" businesses cropped up. As far as the 15 dollar price tag on armor, it is plain stupid. If you buy it, you really need to learn the real value of a dollar. Even if you are rich, it is a very irresponsible use of money. Unfortunately when people feel like they have a surplus of funds, it becomes real easy to let go of it for frivolous things. Therefore Bioware gets away with it. Even at $5.00, I would have worked pretty hard for 15 minutes for it at my job just to get pixels that really don't do anything but make my character pretty. What I do during that 40-50 hours a week seems way more important to me than a set of game armor, therefor no silly spending for me.
