  1. yeah seriously. if I didn't already know about this, i'd be super mega pissed off at you.
  2. welcome. I would suggest checking out the server forums. here is a link to the shadowlands forum. you can see the 'Guild Recruitment' sub forum at the top. http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=378 alternatively, you can use this guild quiz to find a guild that might fit your playstyle. http://www.tortoolbox.com/quiz/ good luck.
  3. really? you don't see the difference here? rolling a new toon forces you to learn how to play that AC during the leveling process. Switching from a maura to a jugg at 50 hands you a handful of abilities that you have never used before and have no idea how they work together. jumping into HMs/Ops/PvP would be a disaster for you and your group.
  4. LA in June, San Diego in July? Mayhaps these are timed with E3 and SDCC?
  5. I had forgotten that quote. hopefully they are using the event as a test for the new WPvP so it's done right without the kill trading/line waiting.
  6. they all bump your stats, so yes. some of them give you matrix shards which you can combine into a matrix cube relic that has end game level stats.
  7. the new ilum pvp was an event. it was never supposed to be permanent. But the event will return in the future. Personally, I think it was a test of WPvP on ilum. I'm sure they are listening to feedback to tweak the system and improve it based on player experience. Next time, we will test it again and they will make more tweaks depending on feedback. I expect the WPvP to come back permanently at some point. They just want to make sure its done right so you don't get kill trading and line waiting in contested areas.
  8. oh but it didn't. check the client. it still says 1.7. Also, all the buildings (except for the ship) are still there, as well as the WBs.
  9. this implies that other that have responded to you are 'not smart'. don't try and backpedal out of it now.
  10. thanks. Like I've said, i'm all for WPvP and quite enjoy it if its done right. There have been plenty of spontaneous WPvP encounters that have popped up and have been quite fun.
  11. other people post in your thread. when someone posts who agrees with you, you call them smart because they agree with you. this implies that people who do not agree with you are stupid. do I really have to spell everything out for you?
  12. well, an increase in client version means a new patch to the game. none of the other events came with a version increase. The patch may have made the event possible, but the event itself was not 1.7. If the event was truly 1.7, then the game would revert to 1.6 when it leaves.
  13. they do. and you still have rep to gain from other factions. so technically the event was not 1.7. 1.7 was the rep system and was accompanied by the event.
  14. now this sounds like a blast. I've gotten into some WPvP like this in the Black Hole. Imps were killing, I grabbed my guildmates and we had some great fun taking it back to their side of the map. I also remember town raids in WoW that were great fun.
