So just got out of pvp after getting wrecked. not a uncommon occurrence. it's been very highly competitive and more fun imo since the new patch. but the biggest issue is still communication. many many other games have a integrated voip or a public TS (teamspeak3) server dedicated to their pvp. MWO (mech warrior online) having had a public one for ages i have been sneaking back in theres for ops and such when a server was not provided by the group. Now what i am getting at is the reason we got so wrecked was because we where facing a 4 man on TS (i know the guild they have a ts server so it's not hard to figure with how they where playing that they where on it ) My suggestion is to you bioware/ea that opening a public server that any of us could use would greatly improve the play qaulity of pvp. any time spent typing in a warzone is wasted time imo and voice coms do that way better! now i would just spam MWO's public server in matches to get people on (very unused since they integrated ts intoo the game) However if you made a public server where one could just be on it all the time, f/e logged intoo ts, match pop's, people say they are in pvp channel 1, everyone can then alt tab change channel to right channel and boom! instant communication no excuses can be given! now one might say this would harbor trolls and such,but in my experience those willing to use voice coms rarely do so to troll they do so to win,and ts has a handy mute function. getting to my last point by making this a public open to all server there would be no issues with having to waste time copying server info to a phone note or in my case good ole pen and paper i keep handy. you would just be loged intoo the server and when the match pops make sure all team mates are in the same chat channel, for example a whole premade drops and is in channel 2, they would say we are on channel 2 join us, the ones in lobby or channel x can then alt tab, swap channel and be back before match starts. some won't even have to alt tab if their computer can run overwolf in concurence with the game (literally a overlay for in game messing with options for ts) i'm sure someone will try to swiss cheese/nix this idea but voice coms is the ultimate form of ingame communication. no typing can beat them. it would also bring the general level of team play up and maybe improve pvp greatly in case's of just badly coordinated teams.

Seems that credit spammers have skipped to slicing now. there are alot more slicers than normal. but it could also be because of new content. only time will tell as i no longer can find a happy hour for slicing anymore. if after a another week or two it goes back to how it was prepatch i am probably wrong. it keeps up like it has though much longer i will begin to wonder. also keeping an eye out for agkjgks names slicing i have all plans to screenshot them when i see one.

I'll just go back to playing my game i forgot forums where full of people who could care less about the actual game. i have better more meaningful conversation in general chat and that is just sad.!

Oh boy this one does not thrill me in the least because we have had a lot of people claiming they transferred from pot 5. i mean i have meet a few definite good ones in chat. but this news worries me and only time will tell what will happen. I know the majority of the rp community will not put up with that stuff and will be quick on the report button, however. this is why i joined an rp server in the first place was to avoid said toxicity that some pvp players seem to ooze.

My first time fighting cortana(spelling) in the yavin ops i told the guys i was slightly undergeared 190, 2 pieces of 192 and 186 relics but between our disorganization, lack of teamspeak and i could see that my heals just were not fully cutting it it was pretty embarrassing to me.. was the first time i got to try that op, and i very well feel i failed the team. they told me i did good and all but ya know..its still embarrassing

I have been an extremely avid gamer have been my whole life. i am not new to pvp in any means. been playing computer games (not talking old floppy disc games they let us play as school children) since vanilla wow. my most recent games leading up to this where MWO and warthunder both highly competitive and in the case of MWO a game that would make most of you wet your britches and go home its so brutal and insanely hard. Imagine the way you die in pvp to when you get deathballed. except you can't come back after you die that's it your out. and it does happen that fast with one wrong tactical move. That being said what i bring is 20 years of experience gaming. with in my 4 months in this game i have level two level 60's. helped anyone would would accept my help,I give credits to those i feel in need of them (not those that beg in general chat) I joined a guild and did everything i could do in my power to help it grow,better it and help them. i am now an officer in said guild and we we are now 200+ members usually 10-20 on at any hour with around 70-80 active players (the guild charter says 108 considered active but i know for fact i have not seen that many different people in my time in the guild. Outside of my guild if i see someone LFG to no answer for heroics if i have the time i always offer to run them at the expense of their xp from kill's. I have given several players i have seen getting knocked off there vendor mounts a rare cartel market mount with some knock off protection (nothing special usually one of the current pack ones that is cheap on the gtn at the time) If i know the answer to a question being asked i answer it properly and shoot down the trolls that don't on purpose alt+f4 is not a valid answer to anything... when i group with people low level that i am helping i always pass on all drops except deco. (deco is not essential to leveling so i consider it free game and expect everyone to need on it always unless they don't want it,this seems the rule most go by anyways) I flag all credit spammer as spam, I don't want that annoying mail and at level 60 getting credits is hardly a real difficult task there really is no excuse to use credit spammers. you want credits do what i see others do buy a hypercrate and undercut the lowest price on the gtn for by a few credits.. did you know hyper crates go for 4 mill on the gtn? if you know what to do you can make that in almost a day or two at the most. as far as the game goes I do near all, if i don't feel like pvping one day i rp. if i don't feel like rping i find a ops group to tag along with. if i don't feel like an ops i help guildies with daily's. there is a never ending lack of content to delve intoo for a new player and a never ending stream of people that need a gentle bit of help and not LTP NOOB GOOGLE IS A THING. the one thing i don't touch is the horribly broken thing that is GSF. the WWII planes in war thunder fly better,aim better and the game outright plays better than GSF will ever play. It's not that i don't want to like it but lets face it how many of you would rather go play rouge squadron in all its 64 bits of graphics? GSF is not what is good in this game GSF is a poor assembled cash grab that needs to be totally revamped or left to die and eventually scraped. i've played good vehicle fighter games my entire life. driving above gaming is my greatest skill IMO and GSF is a total sham of a game option ruled by people with fully upgraded ships that just refuse to let go of it. starting it when i have 3 years invested and around 100$ tied up in mwo, 60$ and a year tied up in warthunder it's not happening. The worst thing for trolls i do is use my experience as an admin over a group with 13,000 members and growing, (126 members joined just this week) of international gundam model builders. i have been an admin there for almost two years now. (granted i do lose my temper at griefers occasionally I've learned the one use for GSF unflagging when you get accidentally flagged by walking into imp territory which works a lot better than hiding for 5 minutes hoping i don't get griefed) i use that experience of having to contend with people of all races and walks of life too shut down trolls and do my best to null arguments and turn them around for the better. trust me you can't one up some of the things i've seen people do and say there and i am certainly not even including the ****,ray-bans ad's and out right you **** are stupid you play with robot dolls comments. needless to say it's very hard to get under my skin with mere words. (see Gunpla Builders on face book, members, search admins, find Adam pope thats me! and my proof if any is needed) (side note if you have been banned from there you were most likely a troll or tried to sell us ray bans) and last but far not the least. I enjoyed this game so much i did what i have not done since vanilla wow and i am paying for a sub. and buy a small to decent amount of cc each month to help support the dev's. I realize i am new to the forums and i have said some bad stuff in the first post i ever made here. but in my personal opinion i want to see this community grow. despite all the hate i see in the forums i have found that the core community of players is a very kind caring community many of which are outright willing to jump through hoops to help and build the community ( we have a ftp guy in our guild who has donated more of his credits to the flagship than what some of our subed players have and he's hardly in the position to give away his credits he just won't take no for answer even paid for the guild back unlock so he could personally drop his creds in) If you can excuse my grammar and this very long winded post i hope you can enjoy what i do. to all those helping build a better community may the force be with you all be it Dark or light! It is my hope that the good in the community outshines the bad and even though we won't ever curb them we can keep the haters where they belong and enjoy our game together as a community and not as enemies

i understand not wanting to lose everything but you might just have to bite the bullet and start over. **** happens. I for one am not very happy with the excess trash and trolls that have been poping up in ebon hawk (a rp server) that claim to be from pvp servers. in general griefing when pubs are rping combat with imps (we are flaged but clearly cooperating not a big one side wipes the other thing) this happened the other day while rping with some imps on tat. we where all boxing in no armor with no weapons and a guy claiming boldly he was from pot 5 ganked both me and and a low level 30 repeatedly and absolutely ruined the rp while we where essentially sitting ducks. none of the other 5 imp's there did that only the one pvp player from pot 5 with absolutely no remorse. he did not stop when asked either. this is not the only example but the most relevant as i don't mind getting ganked if i at least have a fighting chance. however I am sure this is not all of them. this groups sounds like they are a well cut respectable group of guys to play with. but each servers structure is built on the people that are already there. To have mega guilds get a free pass to move is hardly fair to any of us who have worked or are working hard to build our guilds on our server. this will mean they get a free pass right to the top of our server while we still are doing our work. that means more people will be tempted to join them instead of a well established guild from the server because they have more bling for lack of better terms (granted this is not good for any of the guilds) plus the they get a jump on galactic conquest without doing anything on our server which is totally unfair.. IMHO they should not be given this special pass no matter who they are. they already have enough people they can certainly rebuild and do everything others had to do on that server to get where they are. In fact i can almost 100% say this is the reason bioware will not allow this if they even say anything at all. TLDR suck it up and start fresh we all started from nothing on our server why should anyone else get a free pass. you are already getting your highest level toon put into our server that should be enough to rebuild.

and it's the consumers fault we ask for more bigger and better, faster than they can provide it. this is why we get half done games. that is what us the consumer begs for. +its all about that dollar for most developers so of course if they think they can make money now and fix it later they will. so overall a very screwed multi faceted subject imo

the general bitterness of the forums tells me this game is more than alive. people can't be bitter and not care. them caring (regardless of whether or not its the right kind of caring) is proved by said bitterness. It's like they say you can't hate something if you did not once love it. I think it is the same with the bitterness they would not be bitter if they did not care to play the game.

Jimmajamma. not all the comments are always directed at me I've had a total of three directed at me in the 3 months I've been playing. most of these comments go towards others but it still bothers me. also I apologize i'm no English major and in anger that gets worse. judging by what you said best I get those kinds of people on the ignore list. 2.Darius Well I have a few questions. " Bolster sucks and how it is implemented is a massive failure on BW's part since it is very anti-intuitive and the bolsterizer is no where near the PvP terminal. However, before jumping into 60 PvP did you read up on how bolster works?" *I never looked it up I thankfully had guild mates to explain when I asked why I died so easily in PvP when there is supposed to be a bolster. "Next, did you PvP at all in the lowbie/midbie brackets to learn how each map is played or did you wait until 60 and jump in dry hoping to figure it out as you went?" *I have pvped since i started playing and could join in. I fully understand the mechanics of each map. even without guides it only took me seeing the maps 1-2 times to figure that out. i have toons at a few varying levels as well all of which i pvp with. Do you or do you not call out in ops chat when/if you're guarding a node and you get attacked? Look I already know this will become a flame war that's your choice. I'm a longtime gamer have been gaming my entire life. so I already know how these forum things go. However some of you big bad Pvpers need to lay off us noobs. I've been seeing this a lot more as I delve into the pvp in this game and to put things nicely this game is in the worst condition that I have ever seen pvp before. the classes are unbalanced. once you hit 60 almost everyone but you has pvp gear and you get wrecked even with the bolster. My point is though ************ at us noobs is not making pvp better. its only going to hurt you. in the long run the less people playing pvp the more you are going to have these situations where your getting wrecked by people who have full pvp sets. I mean really who wants to go to a constant you die fest to just get *****ed at by your teammates - who gear set aside aren't as good as they want to act or as smart. I have been playing pvp styled games for over ten years I can take a death or two. its just the constant bitterness of the "pvpers" that is starting top turn me against it. add in the very broken fotm classes and its not a enjoyable experience in the least. not to say I haven't meet good pvper's just the bad ones are enough to make me turn my head to the whole thing. it's one thing to say you need to do this to help you. its another to be a *** about It and be like you need to just give up on life or quit playing if you cant do this or that. Really that's how you loop new players in? TL DR? You pvpers need to extend the red carpet to noobs instead of talking crap. maybe then something can be done about the rest.
