  1. I think it's probably too late to remove or lessen the majority of restrictions, since people have paid to remove them. Some of these restrictions are pretty silly and make the company look petty. Things like being able to display legacy name or titles, remove helmets, etc. should really be part of the basic game for everyone. Forcing people to pay for things like that make BW look like a small-time company, shaking down its player base for every last dollar. It's too late to do anything about that, and ill will has been created. The one restriction that really does need to be lessened is the 2 character per account limit. Forcing people to delete characters in which they've invested tons of time to try something new seems like a bad idea, and is already making me feel constricted. I imagine that eventually there will be an option in the market to add slots, but I think it's too low to begin with.
  2. I remember a month ago seeing their initial list of restrictions for F2P, and it was extremely reasonable, even generous. No Ops, and limited FP's and PVP? That's perfectly fine. I remember being excited and telling friends how great it was that we'd get to play, and the things being restricted were things were didn't care so much about or felt was reasonable to restrict. Flash forward to present day, and I'm staring at a ginormous list of restrictions, not just the 4 or 5 things it had been previously. Seriously, you're going to force me to pay cartel coins to display my legacy name? My titles? Not having to display a helmet? Forcing me to shell out 20 bucks just for the privilege of equipping an entire class of item on all my characters ?This seems like a petty cash grab of the worst sort. What makes me regret throwing money into cartel coins is the 2 character maximum limit, which I didn't know about since I didn't read said ginormous list of restrictions first, which I admit I really should have. Hopefully in the future they'll raise this limit, or provide more slots for a reasonable amount of money. All in all, I can't help but think that many of their choices were short sighted. I went from a high on seeing F2p announced, to a low at seeing just how many small and annoying things they've put in my path to enjoy the game. It really didn't have to be this way.
  3. I have to say I'm dismayed but not surprised at some of the choices made in creating the F2P option. As someone who's played off and on since beta, I felt pretty annoyed and a little insulted that I had to pay to do something as basic as display the titles I'd earned, and legacy name. Forcing people to pay for things that should be standard game features like toggling helmet display, basic companion customization, and being able to use any and all of their quest rewards just seems like too much of a petty cash grab, and an unneeded one with all the other things you are and could be offering on the Cartel Market. The worst part for me is the 2 total character slots limit. This is seriously annoying, and is the largest culprit in pretty much eliminating my excitement at the F2P option. This really needs to be changed to something reasonable soon. Making it say, 2 or even 4 per server, with a total equal to half of what subscribers get would be so much better, allowing people to play the game in a way that's comfortable for them, while still rewarding subscribers. The goal is to get new and returning people to play the game, not feel constrained and quit due to feeling forced to delete their progress if they want to try something new.
