  1. Mara = new FOTM I think they have over buffed mara and we are going to suffer for it... yes the rage tree sucked major *** in PVP but, with the new buffs, i think this will make this class overpowered. For the guys that really know how to play well with a mara they will all agree that they are always if not the top at least in the top 3 dps... we didnt need buffing this extent. All i can say is watch all the new Mara that will play badly and the good mara that will now completely dominate ... within a few weeks everyone will be screaming for a nerf to maras. Gone are the days when a mara had to play amazingly to get high on the epeen meters. this makes me want to now level a different class, i started mara as to be good, you had to excel ... now we are just going to be like Smash Juggs, skillless
  2. lol first time i have seen this and tbh ... 100% correct
  3. I have to admit i just mentioned the inconsistancy with regards to patching days in a different post... its very annoying... i dont even raid yet (waiting for people to get to 50 ) but i can see how this would be worse if i was raiding.
  4. Completely agree although you missed crafting = Crafting = SWG You could play the game just as trader... i loved it
  5. Not that i would take Aim as a Agent but i have been thinking this also but more in consideration to holocrons. I would like to know if Aim has in influence to the damage to agents... is it worth me collecting the Aim holocrons?
  6. i have to admit,... i have played some games like Linage2 and Aion and as you stated the DAoC - Pygmys and Avalon City FTW... now that is grinding... I think this game has of all the game the least amount of grinding in a game, coupled with individual story lines for your base proffession this does not feel like a grind... The WoW players... how many of you actually read the quest story line or like me did you just look at the objectives to finish the quest?... this game i actually listen to the story... i feel more invovled... i think this is what BW wanted, and why they invested so much time in the voice enabled quests. Once we get to the creating the 2nd char with the same storyline that might feel like a treadmill... but definatly not a grind. (Dark side all the way... i refuse to level a good for nothing Jedi ) I think this may feel grindy to people that have not experience the older games where all you would really do is find a spot and run a route just mindlessly killing mobs for experience.
  7. Good post but i dont think it will make any diffference to people. Yes there are lot of bugs, issue and concerns, my only complaint with the game that destroys my outlook for this game is their customer services... or the non-existant customer services. People generally are happier with an issue if someone has confirmed that it has been recieved and investigated. The fact that BW do not reply to people for over 5 days (if your lucky, and then with a scripted email nothing to do with your problem this is a major concerned of mine), im not saying its any better in every other game... but it is a fundemenetal flaw to most Customer services or Helpdesks. If there is a major issue (they dont do to badly with this one) they need to put it on the patcher and in the forums.
  8. To have an economy you must have something worth somthing to someone... The problem with Crafting right now is you while you can give yourself a quick boost at lvl 50 to some blue/purple gear (which may i add looks awful) its better to keep your custom skins and just run dailies to get epic mods which are better than the crafted mods unless your raiding (afik you can get quality 25 mods from raids, not raided so i dont know) At the moment dailies and raids completely destroy the economy as people with a little effort can get items for free... You must have demand to provide a supply .... without it there is no profit.
  9. I use splashtop on my ipad2 and work PC. This is a cheap app on the ipad about £1.99 so go buy , i have been doing this since release and yes it works well... PC version is free but you need to install a client on both PC to do this
  10. Using an anology simliar to the above from a different persective So you saw two doors, both said open, and you see no queue on either, so you go to the till and put all your money in the bank, next time you come there is a huge queue in the one you previously went to but you now have no way of getting you money back without queueing ... so you queue.... Moral of the story is some people did not intentionally bring the queue times on themselves. the issue is servers are hugely overpopulated... Personally i left my old server which had a wait time of 90 mins to a light server... which is now very heavy in peek time, i will not be rerolling again
  11. To be perfectly honest, most games now a days are not revolutionary they take the good aspects of other games and make them better. You ask 99% of the DAoC fan base if Mythic was to create a DAoC2 would they play it.. i think it would look like this: 80% Yes 15% No (but on release they would buy it) 4% No (and will wait for the reviews of others) 1% No (will never buy) But if i was designing a game i would definatly take the 'Aim' of DAoC PVP/RVR and SWG Crafting, i could list loads of other good aspects other implemented its the bringing it together that i would struggle with... How much time do they spend on re-designing the crafting model? How much time to do they spend on revolutionising the PVP? or implementing RVR? How much time do they spend on improving the PVE gameplay... Personally i think BW will spend their time on PVE improvements as you have lvl 50s already in game who will quickly churn through the PVE. The problem you have here is PVE is always the same, where as PVP will always change, there will always be someone taking a fortress and you will always go take them yourself... PVE is an immediate fix but i think RVR will give longivity to the game
  12. I agree with many of your ideas, but I would like to suggest a couple, yes they are not original but they take the good parts I enjoy from other games PVP My main issue with PVP in WOW was it was pretty pointless beyond getting better gear, it did not bring a community together imo. I would like there to be some form of open world pvp (even on the pve servers) which you have to enter to be flagged as pvp (like DAoC frontiers, I will use DAoC a lot here) with an aim, I am not a game designer but I would say something like a similar set up as DAoC where there was an aim to pvp, something the faction could work together to achieve, as we are in space and not in the lands of Camelot, lets call these star sectors which have planets/fortresses (1 star sector each faction), each faction has 7-10 fortress which are player controlled and 1-2 computer controlled Citidals/mega fortresses. These guild fortresses give minor bonuses to the guild (or alliance) that owns it and the NPC fortresses give minor bonuses to the faction (5% exp bonus / +damage / +health), these bonuses only effect PVE. What this does is introduce a community PVP aim rather than just a personal one, this is why I think DAoC succeeded in PVP. Crafting SWG crafting rocked at the start, I loved the fact I could go out into the wilderness and set up my own factory center with windmills and stuff… I thought this was a genus idea, and I could sell these on to a shop owner based on the amount he wanted to buy, the more he ordered the cheaper they would be, and if he wanted more he would put a deposit down for me to spend the time to produce and ship. This alone was a game by itself, it’s the only game I know you could actually just spend your entire time crafting/selling and enjoy it. Just my 2 cents worth
  13. I didnt get my DDE items until i got my email from Origin with the DDE code. Once redeemed my items were in my mailbox the next time i logged in, so i assume you have not redeemed your DDE code yet, only the early access code
  14. Nah i dont think its a co-ordinated team as we still won even though he was using this 'bug' and he was running from his side of the arena to ours in seconds, i have seen the SI speed buff and it is definatly not that. I just wanted to know if anyone else has ever seen this, i think next time i will fraps it if i see it just to show how bad this is
