  1. Commando's the bastard child of Sage and Scoundrel in heavy armor with red hair. Don't expect anything but scraps if you're lucky.
  2. 1. I like that idea. Give commandos a really unique ability being the only healer class with an auto-crit healing ability as opposed to several DPS classes abilities to auto-crit their 36 point talent. It'd require set up if you tried to put it on someone else and would be a big boon to healing Tanks in PvE and people getting trained in PvP. 2. It'd need to be something lesser than what you find in the Gunnery tree. Some reduction like 2x as long like reduce it by 1.5 second but no more often than 6/3 seconds. It gives the class a small boon without making Reactive Shield OP for healers when they're getting trained. 3. Yeah, this is one of the most retarded things ever. Ever class I played in this game has not had absolute garbage boxes that your required to take for useful ones. Commando does for whatever reason. I'd say remove the link or change it to but a half strength trauma probe on the commando when they cast it on someone else. Maybe the second point would allow Bacta Infusion to auto-crit on yourself with the mini-probe, thought that might start teasing into imba territory. 4. Yep. 5. I think the 3 second lockout is fine, it just needs to do more base healing. It heals for about as much as a single stack of Smuggler's Slow Release Med Pack per pop. Make it equal or slightly higher than two stacks of the Smugglers heals with the current restrictions. The fact that it's as weak as a single stack and cannot be spammed or stacked like Slow Release Med Pack is kinda insulting. 6. Personally I don't like this box. I think these knockback heals are the silliest thing ever. You knock away opponents that someone might be attacking in melee range to give them an okay heal while at the same time building up their white bar. It'd be nice to get another heal on a quick cooldown, but I think it'd be better with a "Reduction on hit" like in the Assault Tree as opposed to flat. Also you have to realize that sage's AoE is about 1/4 the size of commandos, so using timers is not good justification. Personally I'd love to see Commando's become slightly more like Paladin from WoW with AMP not having a cooldown and Field Triage be removed and changed to something else entirely. But that won't happen. I'd also like to see a skill or buff called "Don't you Die on me!" I don't care what it does really, I just wanna see it.
  3. You mean nerfing CGC and Thermal Det? Yeah, major changes for making Merc/Mando better.
  4. The fact that its still fairly useless in the grand scheme of things. Making it interrupt immune for a one or two point talent would make it a fantastic skill. Also it used to build resolve, not sure if it still does.
  5. Yeah its a bug introduced in 1.7.1 for some reason or another and Bioware knows about it and some other headgear issues. We're just gonna have to wait til Bioware fixes it.
  6. I read that as "We're going to 'fix' commandos again by nerfing one of their core skills. Like Demo Round or that 33% nerf to Grav Round when we said it was 10%."
  7. My fingers have been crossed for Bioware to throw us a bone since 1.2 went live. I eventually gave up. Commando really just needs more work than Bioware wants to put into it to make it viable on its own, and they also don't want to give away the gimmicks of another class (like gunslinger) for a easy fix. All this could go away with some heat adjustments and letting commando's "take cover" for interrupt immunity on DPS skills.
  8. That's a terrible idea and you should feel terrible for suggesting it. How dare you suggest something that might actually benefit Commandos or Mercenaries.
  9. They're rewards for getting newcomer in the new Cartel Rep vendor now, they cost 40k credits apiece.
  10. I'm still disappointed that there's not Trooper or BH starter armor-looking sets on the Market. They got every other class but that one. Even though the Knight's set is a little off.
  11. You don't have to have anything from it, just like you don't have to have anything from the Cartel Market. Bioware was good enough to let you sell those things on the GTN and not just forcefully restrict them to your account or even just one character. The vendor is a reward designed specifically at those who spend money at the Cartel Market. If they're spending their real money to get some of these things, throwing them an extra bone that only they can get isn't in any way a bad thing or a "Up yours" to people who don't want to spend their money on the cartel market or their at least 500 coins a month for being a sub on anything from the market.
  12. Its also instant and it also uses less energy and it also is not pivotal in building the buffs needed for the rest of your skills.
  13. Actually I like this idea. Add it as a legacy character bonus as a money sink for some if they have the credits or you can just unlock it with cartel coins like all the other unlocks.
  14. If only Bioware had some proper judgement and would adjust commando so our DPS in warzones wouldn't be 'wet sock'.
  15. I wish they'd get rid of the 'get caught on every doorway or shoulder-height object you walk by' shoulder pad as well. There a ton of armors in this game that NPCs wear but the players can't ever get. I still want the torso armor and helmet from the Ord Mantell troopers.
