  1. Don't subscribe. Subscribers have been having "random errors" accessing content since 5.0, such as my wife's inability to access augments now.
  2. For those blowing smoke up our behinds: "guys, really, if they *had*" properly worked on fixing bugs in this game, listening to players making bug reports, and actually cared about doing more than pushing cartel coin sales, this wouldn't be an issue. There are bugs in this game from BETA that haven't been even lazily acknowledged by EA, let alone looked at. Don't give them a pass for laziness.
  3. "bioware' has issues communicating because it's all EA now.
  4. "well done" - no. Instead the two fingerless coders working at EA (this isn't bioware, bioware was replaced by EA staff years ago after EA bought the company) decided to take a few years off and make fixes only on...*checks dice* days ending in 2. Hence why this patch isn't ready and probably won't be.
  5. "it's fixed this time, for real": I remember when we heard that for literally patches on end with the corpses that weren't despawning. "It'll be patched tomorrow, for real": Is the new version. Next we'll find out that all of Bioware Montreal is working on this patch, and the real reason it's taking so long is because they have to get in as much SJW memes as possible while making the Traitor look like this: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Jv1KNZbLhcg/maxresdefault.jpg
  6. I want this in writing on legal paper, cause the number of bugs "the team is aware of" in swtor that haven't been fixed since beta would make enough code to remake the entire game up until this point.
  7. So I am happy to report that the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was the epitome of Bioware excellence: he was friendly, polite, happy to help (you could hear him smile), and very patient as we worked together to make sure the issue was resolved and clearly understood by me. The fault, naturally, was with EA: as of patch 4.0.1 (if not 4.0), the training of player abilities (not utility points in this case) had changed drastically, and was not indicated in anywhere that I could find (or not clear enough to make sense). Now, trainers only provide you with abilities when you first gain them, such as energy shield for bounty hunters. Normally we would have to hit a trainer every level or so (until 40 I think?) to rank up said ability to keep useful based on player level. Now, once you train initially, all ranking up of an ability is automatic based on player level. For some reason, however, trainers (including holo statues) would still show greyed out rank-ups for abilities when a person selected "show all" for trainers, indicating the next rank was trained at the next level achieved. Once said level was achieved, the ability would not be trainable/rankable, but would show it as available at the Next level, ad infinitum. This is a terrible graphics glitch/code bug that was misleading players into believing abilities were not scaling with them no matter what the player did. Thankfully this is false (tested and confirmed by me, and you can easily mouse-over an ability, note the rank, then level and note the rank), and new (not previously acquired) abilities can be picked up by a trainer/holo statue without any issue. Once more: good job Bioware/horrible fail EA.
  8. This exactly. I did the beta for a day and a half with my wife. I was so offended that they called that a beta test that both she and I stopped after two hours and uninstalled test. And KotFE, while sporting some excellent Bioware storytelling, is clearly EA attempting to just kill swtor; and if they weren't trying? Too late.
  9. So as of 4.0 many people have reported that player characters cannot train base and/or advanced class abilities - you reach level X and your train says reach X+1; you reach X+1 and your trainers says reach X+1+1. So far there have been three patches and and a server...thing. Was EA too busy with the stem of news about corruption on REDDIT to deal with this (battlefront launch, failtastic), or have they actually stopped carrying about players? I know I stopped giving EA money until this is fixed. P.S. The Reddit news: http://blogjob.com/oneangrygamer/2015/11/star-wars-battlefront-ea-rep-and-reddit-mods-caught-in-corruption-scandal/ is very interesting to look at, especially screengrabs.
  10. Just incase anyone doubts that EA doesn't desrve your money, it's patch 4.0.2, most people still cannot train abilities on any of their characters, and EA and DICE are now coming under fire for corruption and bribery on REDDIT over Battlefront: http://blogjob.com/oneangrygamer/2015/11/star-wars-battlefront-ea-rep-and-reddit-mods-caught-in-corruption-scandal/ I for one am sick of our gaming overlords.
  11. I can put this baby to rest! You CAN!!!! reverse-engineer purple crystals (that's purple I'm talking about in this case, not the black-purple here) crystals and make them afterwards. No idea what the percentage is because I got lucky on my first try. Picture included: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8-C9dJRHS0cVWlWblctbDR2MWc/edit?usp=sharing Have fun RE'ing and crafting for all!
  12. Bumping this thread because one of the 2.x patches was supposed to fix this and it Still is not fixed for the empire. I have the makeb datacrons, I've even returned to them to try and get the codex entries, and still nothing. Please tell me this will be fixed by Jan '14!
  13. I just wanna ask that the devs take a chance to look at the placement and items of med droids in the 51+ content areas. Particularly (on the empire side since that's the only side I have a 50+ toon on) Makeb's droids, and the Macrobinocular mission finale on Dromund Kaas. You have med droids selling lvl 8 stims and medpacks to lvl 53+ characters. In Makeb's case, you have the majority of the stims at lvl 40. It'd be great if exotech stims were sold, or at least both the lvl 40 and the new 51+ stims were sold together. Thank you for looking into this and keep up the great work!
