  1. Look at the notes, I can only assume you didn't, and you will see 2 of or instant big damage attacks were removed. Our damage buffs were reduced and... so on and so on...
  2. Two of our best damage producing attacks are just removed? Other abilities nerfed for time and damage? What is going on? Someone in EA have a hate on for Gunslingers?!?!
  3. The answer to any question in this game where there is a possibilty of EA charging extra for a service/item/etc. is ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS, ... Cash Shop.
  4. Ok, I know that there are diminishing returns for stats, like after a certain point, each point of Aim for example is only worth 60%, something like that. I'm having trouble finding actual charts, though. A lot of sites are old, some even beta old, and its hard to sift fact from fiction. Can anyone post the rules of diminishing returns? What stats are effected, which stats aren't? ....or at least, point me to a current site that lays out in chart form, or something easy to read? Thanks!

  6. Prices are actually falling quite a bit on our server, although it seems to have bottomed out. Server is a ghost town, dead as dead can be, especially on Republic side. So no one was buying, as there was no one to actually buy, so prices dropped. Server pop is so low now that there are only a few people actually crafting, so they have started to rise their prices to take advantage of it.
  7. It's very simple. There are at least three times as many Imperials as Republic players. Some servers the ratio is more like 4 to 1. Since most servers are absolute ghost towns on the Republic side, there is no trade. No players = no one to buy goods and mats. Bioware has addressed this crippling and game ruining imbalance with a simple, "Screw you, Republic players. We at Bioware all play Imperial players, and we LIKE the way the populations are."
  8. For the record, there is simply NO way this cost 200+ million to make. Look at all the shortcuts and cut and paste design. Every space port looks the same, terrain features show up on multiple planets, archtypes are just copies of each other. I could go on and on, (being a coder myself), about the things Bioware did to keep the 'cost' of the game down. When I first started going through the game, more and more it looked like a free to play with all the copy and paste features throughout. Now, that being said, the voice acting and linking animations to speech would certainly add a big chunk to the cost of game creation. Would it add hundreds of millions? I really don't know. I can tell you this. The actual game development was done on the cheap, with a smallish crew. Hundreds of millions for that? No way.
  9. If have logged in at all in the last couple of weeks you would have seen that the population is crashing.... hard.
  10. Server merges won't happen until it is too late for several reasons: When a game announces they are merging servers, there is always the "game is fail" cry from the web, with all the 'negative publicity' that comes with it. Since this game is run by a COMPANY, and not actual players, they will not do anything that reflects bad on their game. Pride. (Arrogance?) To close and merge servers would be to admit that many, many, many people did not like the game the Devs have created and have stopped playing and left. Part of this can be disbelief that everyone doesn't madly love the game the Devs created, and surely as soon as a few patches role out, the players will come back. (Although this could be classed under its own heading of Delusion) Bad data. Because of the influx of asian gamers, coupled with the fact that many people have stopped playing but haven't unsubbed, or more likely, so many paid quarterly, gives the false impression of a game doing well. Those who's job it is to make sure the game is good enough for people to pay to play it want to keep their jobs. So, they hold up sub numbers instead of actual game time numbers as indication that all is well. Management, being the clueless bean counters they always are, except this and move on. The population is so low it has reached the 'critical mass' of players. People leave, those that stay can't find others to group, Pvp, raid with, so some of them get frustrated and leave. Those that stay can't find others to group, Pvp, raid with, so some of them get frustrated and leave. those that stay can't find others to group, Pvp, raid with, so some of them get frustrated and leave. Soon, you are left with nobody. WAR is a perfect example of this. Game was either loved or hated, but it depended on a healthy server pop to work. The Devs, for the reasons above I'm sure, did not do server merges until it was too late. BUT.. you know what happened when they did finally merge servers? Their subscriptions went UP for a time. People were excited to actually run into and fight other players, for a change. However, it was too late by then, the population had fallen to a point that even closing all but a few servers there were just not enough people left. SWTOR is the same boat. It's population is falling like a rock, and the Devs, for their own reasons will fight tooth and nail against server merges until it is too late, and SWTOR becomes a marginal game like WAR.
  11. Most East coast servers are ghost towns, so anyone that manages to peak above 'Light' in the PM will fit your bill
  12. Even if most people are half and half with PvP/PvE, there is really nothing to hold em on the Republic side. Honestly, how many times can you run the same dailys over and over and over and over... PvP on the Republic side is broken, badly. Now, Imperial players will chime here and squeek about how great PvP is, but that's because most of the WZ matches start with them having 2 or more players the Republic, so it's an insta win for them. If you're an Imp, and you are gearing your character like crazy because WZ matchmaker keeps starting matches 8 to 6, 8 to 5, etc., why would you want it to change?
