  1. I think it would be prudent to have the 5 field revives on a regenerating cooldown like 24 hours or a week, but otherwise this all seems pretty reasonable considering you're getting so much AAA quality content for absolutely nothing.
  2. The highest ranking members of the empire are crazy pants sorcerors who are above the law that revel in the suffering of others. The supreme leader of the empire wants to I may need some more convincing to buy the "not evil" angle. I might be willing to vouch for the imperial intelligence community and parts of the military... but when the entire empire is the play-thing of the sith, the dark council, and the emperor, it's not gonna happen. To the Sith, it's not just "might makes right," it's "might makes right, and those who are weak deserve to suffer! Muahahahahahahahaha!"
  3. As cool as I thought they were at first, flying mounts honestly killed WoW for me. Made exploration totally meaningless and boring.
  4. It should play every time you fall to your death. Coruscant would never be the same again... And in a good way! It'd be like The Pit, in Everquest, lol.
  5. I remember back in 07 posting something on the SWG board along the lines of, "Man, wouldn't it be awesome if they made an MMO base in the KOTOR era? They could do so much more with it!" ...so when it was announced... yeah... sitll here, and will be for a while unless something gets royally FUBAR'd. Still have 6 class stories to finish, at the very least!
  6. 1. Space Content! I mean Bioware style space content too, more than just minigames. An actual space-based narrative. Of course, this couldn't happen without a more free-roaming style of space game. Whether it takes on the skin of the Rogue Squadron series or the X-Wing series, I don't really care (I'm guessing the former would be more likely... as much as I'd love the latter). 2. Multiplayer and time attack (single player) swoop racing. Complete with swoop customization and stuff! Also Pzaac. 3. All future instances should be made like the Esseles and the Black Talon. These two events are the single best pieces of content in the entire game. They're group-friendly and tell self-contained extremely "Star Warsy" adventures. I had high hopes that all future flashpoints would be like them and was devestated to find out that most of the others are just like normal WoW instances, with a possible token moraity scene thrown in for giggles. Make flashpoints more like interactive stories. Give people a "spacebar mode" option on hard modes or something, but man... PLEASE put more role-playing heavy flashpoints in the game. PLEASE! I'm someone who hates doing dungeon runs for loot, but I love doing it for the story. High quality interactive story flashpoints are the most unique thing this game has going for it, and I'm sort of amazed that was sorta dropped after level 10. These were good enough to make me, who usually hates instances, love running them, instead. I think I've beaten this last point into the ground enough now. 3b) This sorta ties into the narrative focus mentioned above. Make all future "class" stories groupable and interactive. I don't care if this means merging the 8 stories into only 2, for most things, but it would go miles for making the overall "game" story work. As it is, despite the fact that the real story is the Galactic Cold War, there's no overarching narrative to it. Fixing that for future story content would help the game regain focus and make it much more fun to group with people as you go through the story arcs. Planets should transition to one another naturally as opposed to having a bunch of completely unrelated world arcs. My one big gripe about the game's story is how every class is sorta off doing its own thing, which means that the world arcs just seem to be like an "Oh, since you're here, can you do _____ for me?" kinda thing. Given how world arc content dwarfs class story content, this doesn't do the narrative any favors. Make the world arcs the class story. Or rather, what I'm getting at here is ditch class stories in favor of faction stories. Having 3-act class intros was kinda cool, but I honestly feel like having two stories that are much more focused on planet-wide levels would go a long ways towards making this game better. One of the big things I loved about Kotor was how each planet made sense. None of the quests felt out of place for what you were doing. This could be achieved in SWTOR too, but it requires ditching the schism-ing class stories in favor of focused faction stories that tie the worlds and their world arcs together. So uh... I guess 3 should actually be referred to as Narrative Focus Enhancement . And it should have probably been number one, actually. The other two things would be crazy fun, but this is what the core game needs going forward.
  7. This needs to be broken down into people who unsub because they're angry and people who unsub because they'll genuinely be getting a better bang for their buck as a non-raider (ie. solo players who never raid and casually do group stuff once in a while...) For people playing SWTOR like a single-player KOTOR sequel, this is the best thing ever since they can effectively do exactly that without having to pay for a subscription service.
  8. I think you're more or less right on the money. Having played some responsibly-developed F2P games now, it seems like a pretty reasonable approach, honestly--and it's a much better fit in our shaky economy than hard-coded subscription models. The forum post wars kinda make me lol. Then: "This game sucks! But I'll play it if it it's free!" Now: "Free games suck! THIS game sucks! I'm quitting!" Bioware seriously can't get a break on this.
  9. I'm pretty sure the FAQ said that the game is still gonna cost $15 to buy online, even after the subscription becomes optional.
  10. If you're willing to fork over an extra $50 into the 150 range, you may be able to get a beefier card with a bit more longevity (unless this is a stop-gap measure to tide you over till you can pick up a better one). I'm using a 560Ti right now and it runs everything pretty much great, but it's much closer to 200-250ish. You may want to consider sort of a mid-range option, like this: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Mini-HDMI-Graphics-01G-P3-1556-KR/dp/B004S5CCP4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342404111&sr=8-1&keywords=Geforce If you go with a used one, you may even be able to snag it for under $100, though that comes with all the used product issues, depending on its quality/used condition.
  11. Sith Pureblood pimp slap is OP. It makes Khem'val cry. ...and I see that no less than two others have beaten me to it, on that exact premise, lol.
  12. I get it every so often, but i can tell it's on my side since half the time my DSL router dies at the same time.
  13. YES. An episode 1 racer (from N64 days) style minigame would be... I'd play it like it's own game. Especially if they let us race others, and not just limited to time trials. it was fun in Kotor too, but much more limited in scope. I think the engine can deal with a larger scale thing and other racers (and also racer gadgets like flame jets, lightning, debris chucking, etc.)... I'd LOVE for it to show up in any way, shape, or form.
  14. Depends on what you enjoy, I guess. Dark Side you're slowly groomed into a ruthless Space Pirate, while Lightside you grow into a Jack Sparrow-esque Republic Privateer. Light side/neutral tended to have the funnier dialogue options, overall. Dark side tends to be shooting people for looking at you funny, while light side has all kinds of hilarious bluffing and shenanigans done to try and avoid getting in a fight. Playing the greedy coward is probably the most fun you'll have, IMO. I recommend not killing everyone instantly with dark side options, just because the results from not shooting people at first glance tend to be way more fun to watch. On the other hand, if you just flat out enjoy being a ******, shooting first might be your cup of tea.
