I was just attempting to answer the OP's question as best I can with info from Bioware themselves. When I first read it, I assumed they wiped all characters and we start fresh. Then I logged onto the PTS and I'm not so sure. So hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

You can choose a Combat Style similar to your previous Advanced Class or choose something new. The choice is yours!" This is from here Separating Story From Gameplay at the very bottom. I understand it doesn't work that way on the PTS, but there's lots of stuff not on the PTS that will be in live. So we will have to wait and see.

So as far as you're concerned, they are reducing the sub fee by an unknown about (to cover the cost of the sub reward) so they charge the same about for the original sub fee? That way it only looks like a free reward.

HK achievements are bugged. Tried it yesterday, was killed twice by groupmate's HK and no joy. If you look at HK in your achievements tab he is 0/0.

They are under Abilities tab in General. Also at least as of yesterday, I haven't logged on yet today. All of HK-55's achievements are gone. I had someone kill me twice with him in Arma Rasa and didn't receive Simulated Meatbag.

Same here, but I found a temp fix. The two abilities are in the the Abilities - General tab. Also I was grouped and my team mate shot me and I didn't get Simulated Meatbag achievement.

Well it is EA after all, that and well the MMO community as whole has spoken. No one wants to pay subs anymore, whether the game is good or not, and the industry is all but free to play. Of course there are exceptions. But they do need to make money like you say, and the best way now a day is to milk people that like to play dress up in games. Don't get me wrong, I do see some advantage of F2P, but overall not a fan. I do like being able to leave and come back when I want to see if games have improved without having to drop some cash.
