  1. How can you blame players? it makes no sense, we pay to play a game, and if the majority of ppl burn through the content "too fast" then how can you blame the players? Never understood how a product can blame its clients for its failure This game in closed beta had more content than it does after 1.2. Bioware are re-hashing content after 3 months of game time which took 3 years to happen in other mmo's. In my opinion it can never be the players fault for a product not having content, its the products fault for not finding a solution to fix the way content is eaten. But i respect your opinion i just dont agree, the only thing i can blame the players for is thinking this game would deliver on what was promised and not become another generic "trinity" mmo
  2. I cannot agree more with you, this game has so little of everything i cant begin to understand how bioware thought that creating a copy and paste wa somehow going to work. To destroy a giant you need an even bigger giant and not a clone, as everyone knows a clone will never be as strong as its base. I love this game and i want it to grow, become what i could be. But i feel EA have put too many walls around bioware and they are choking the life out of there creativity. Unless EA back off this game can never achieve its goal.
  3. There is no variety or reply value. its that simple Flashpoints are fun but once you have collected the required gear and played it afew times they become dull and boring. Raids once completed afew times they become dull and boring. Reason? everything in this game is too easy to gain. Armor is easy to collect, leveling is to easy etc This game needs collections. more mounts/armor/items/weapons/rares. ATM this games endgame items are all generic sets that look the same and are dull and boring. Nothing in swtor is rare or hard to gain, hell even getting full rakata implants/earpiece isnt hard its just "dull and boring" Ive played this game to death, six 50's across two servers/factions. I run a guild and find myself struggling to want to help ppl atm, not because im unhelpful but because im bored. Regards of hardcore or casual, i feel this game has no endgame grinds, nothing is difficult to gain and time isnt an issue as the raids can take around 1/2 hours (which is nice if that 1/2 hours you were actually challanged) Overall the concept of SWTOR was good, but they just gave us a stunning world with nothing in it. Ilum - dead planet with nothing but dailies that take 30mins to complete (you travel the same route over and over) Corellia - same as above belsavis - same as above What im trying to say is, there is nothing in this game that is considered a "variable" everything is constant and nothing is dynamic and as much as i love swtor for what i wanted it to be, i hate it as much for what it has become......a wow clone that has taken nothing but the worst from wow and added voice acting that once played through 1/2 times becomes a drag on the ears and a timesink that can be avoided by spamming space every quest hand in. GW2 is something that will change the mmo market, it may not destroy wow (infact i very much doublt it seeing as wow=mmo in most gamers minds atm) GW2 is what bioware should have done, instead we have a copy and paste that was somehow corrupted along the way and filled in with generic ideas that are called "fresh and new". Look back at the dev videos "you fight many characters" / "pvp is fresh and new, not seen before" / "in this game we try and avoid the same old kill big boss till it dies" and the list goes on, they either lied or rushed the game out, i would rather imagine EA pulled out the wipe and cried "more money" but hey what do i know, im just a simple gamer in a simple world with other simple minded people who simply wish to find a world they can call home. SWTOR is like a hotel for me, im going to stay for awhile, raid the fridge, watch some dirty videos then steal me some towels as i leave...
  4. I have 4 level 50's on the hidden beks republic side (just as info). I decided to re-roll imperial and chose red eclipse. I hit level 50 last night on my sith marauder only to go do some ilum dailies and be told by over 20 people that this one quest bug has been in game since beta. I cant stop laughing, really i cant stop laughing. I love this game, but im starting to see that fixing bugs is not at the top of there priority list, given that every set of patch notes i read, i bunch up the bugs and say to mayself "yea they will be fixed next patch instead". And you know what, its damn true.... Soa/the puzzle/loot bug/speeder bug = EV (endgame raid) As an example these issues took them several patches to fix, and all were "FIXED" with the 1st, they posted "fixed issue with soa agro etc" and then the next patch "fixed issue with soa agro etc". It makes u want to cry that a mmo at this level can release patches that dont work, over and over again. Like i said i love this game and just want to voice my frustration with patches and bug fixes.
  5. There is nothing wrong with this game tbh. its the genre that the issue is held. As a community, mmo gamers destroy games they love and hate with the same passion, the only difference is money. An mmo these days comes out and trys to push as much content out before it either goes F2P or implodes. Mmo gamers have no loyalty, no respect and no doubt about what they want until they get it. To better understand the mmo genre and the players themselves it would be best to spend several hours watching monkeys at the zoo, you will see a pattern emerge .... But on topic, yes this game is good, no its not amazing, yes the dev's are alittle out of touch with there ideas and yes im sure i will keep subbing aslong as there is content to eat, otherwise like every other mindless mmo gamer i shall move on and destroy the next field....i meen mmo i come to.
  6. Done this with and without over several characters, no difference in difficulty, just in time taken.
  7. http://galactic-voyage.com/Dark%20Side-Capital%20Ships-Subjugator%20Heavy%20Cruiser-Malevolence.htm Everything else is just target practice
  8. Atm the reply is basicly "the starships are part of your story, and character interation is part of the ships interior" So short answer is no But they have hinted at allowing customization within the ship (1.2 introduces a small part of it) Hope this helps
  9. There random drop specific. And tend to be class bound. Most of the bracers i have looted have been lvl 16 if that helps.
  10. There are three vendors you should always look out for on every planets starting area. Equipment commendations vendor Specialty items vendor Modifications commendaionts vendors Also using your map system should be a high priority, press M and play around with the left hand side. There are afew selections that allow you to change what appears on the map. Also the option to use a mag glass to show details such as vendors/banks/travel points etc I Suggest you play around with the options available before continuing any further, you will just burn yourself out if you dont
  11. Chill, it will come. There currently working on 1.2 and i dont expect a reply on this issue until after 1.2 fully settles into the community. I understand your frustration. I re-rolled because of this issue. But i dont think insulting bioware is going to help at all.
  12. Though i do enjoy time sinks in any game, the social point system is terrible. You do not get rewarded for endgame FP hardmodes while pugging or raiding etc but you do get them for grinding the 1st FP with a friend using space spam and speeders to ignore the majority of the instance. To recap... Most social aspect of the game = no social points Least group based social activity = highest social gain Bioware have a different view of what being social is than most people it would seem. I do like the idea of social items, but i find the way to attain them is rather backwards imo.
  13. Im sorry but im calling BS, you have no proof of any of this other than what sounds like a very good pvper with no LOAD LAG before speeders, became stunned at the turret and then ran away (if you knew anything about pvp there are several stuns that fill the resolve bar) I just think your crying wolf. wins or loses i dont care. Unless you bring something to the table other than your gone off bacon im not going to even consider your post as anything but a generic complaint about how the game isnt YOUR GAME ^^. Trying not to troll here and honestly i dont enjoy it, but tbh your doing nothing for yourself here.
  14. Ok let me understand this... You want class balance and ppl to stop cheating, yet when they do this you complain. You say this game feels like a beta, which i agree too but not for your reason. Your entire post is basicly you complaining that you dont want change unless its making things easier for YOU. Im sorry but nothing you have said here is valid in anyway. You give no evidence other than "i seen it, i seen it" which we all know in pvp ppl complain when they get owned and cry wolf. Mmo's evolve over time. Evolution is never always positive, sometimes change isnt always what we want, but what we need, deal with it. I welcome people with constructive comments and enjoy the read as yes there are issues with the game atm. But threads like these add nothing to this community.
