  1. Mounts are becoming way over done, so many available that it doesn't feel special anymore, same with pets, I remember the good days when u worked to get a pet it was a good feeling. Even tho there are a few camping items to get and sure the nice ops and pvp rewards. But still, so many are dished out all the time, cartel and everywhere else, that they are rendered boring. Different color same mount (for the most part). How about mounts with 1 or 2 abilities. Just sound or visual effects. It would make it so cool, and would revive that rewarding feeling of getting one. Could even give new life to older models. Example, an ability that revs the engine, or shoots fire from the exhaust, or if its an animal mount like a ranccor maybe he'd pound his chest. So many nice little things you can add. Think about it. If It's feasible technically, you should strongly consider it. A Different color of the same thing doenst cut it anymore. At first I used to collect them, but now I just completely lost the motivation for that. 10 same exact mounts with slightly different hues. Spice it up! Also, you could make it even more fun by having the ability(s) unlock over time as rewards an not immediately. Maybe some achievements would unlock the ability(s), related to where the mount is from. Could be as simple as using it for a certain distance, to so many other things I'm sure you can come up with. Maybe a mount can be gotten in SM, but abilities would unlock after completing HM and NiM respectively. Etc. Gives a re-usability and additional value to the item.
  2. Dear Bioware: I used to buy so many hypercrates, thinking what I get ill use and the extras I'll keep for a while and sell high, so its not really lost. But then you decided to bring back all the old cartel stuff, which of course was annoying and I decided why bother, from now on I'l just buy what I want from GTN. I dont want everything anyway, and the drops are usually bad and even if u get very lucky you dont get ur money's worth in credits. I thought ill buy the seasonal stuff because THEY SAID that it will be one time only, there's a thing I can buy keep a while and capitalize on, but then you brought them back too, even though you claimed multiple times you wouldn't. (is that even legal?). So like the monkeys we can be I went out and bought a bunch of these chambers, and here they are again. Well I personally think that from a business standpoint its a very bad decision on your part, because exclusivity would sell much more for obvious reasons, you could just do a slightly different version instead and everyone wins, you most of all. $$$. Take some cues from the steam market, you could learn a lot form the way they run things! But hey who am I to know better than you. What I did realize is that the cartel market isnt for me, nor anyone smart enough to just wait and buy something off gtn. Really not worth wasting your money at all, youll get a much better value buying it off GTN form those few who aren't thinking straight.

  5. Sure but as Ive said Im only using the crate as a definition of rarity not as an example of items that I am suggesting. If you got a crazy saber that looks very extravagant and nice while producing a different sound or effect, and has a very slight bonus in stat versus any other saber in game, people will care a lot. For its extra stat and for the visual aspect which is apparent. Unlike the crate that isnt always apparent nor have any added value.

When I think of unique, I actually think of extremely rare similar to czerka-o-matic, but more useful items, if we're talking vanity speeders are more obvious and play a more important role, but also weapons and armor etc. At the same time those weapons or speeders could have the slightest of edges. maybe 1 extra point in power lets say. Something discreet enough not to make a difference, but enough to give it great value. Along with a fantastic extravagant look or design. And those wouldn't be bound, ever. Buying them would be a benefit as well as an investment and not an expense. Add some extremely rare possible drops of a different kind to instances, past and future, like a super rare gorgeous saber with 1 point extra on the basic stats, with a distinct effect in an old FP or some H4, and suddenly you gave that instance a whole new life. add a few of those things randomly and you're helping the game the economy and the excitement.
  7. Speaking of random drops, couldn't we have unique or utlra rare, weapons/items drop randomly in PVP? And by drop I mean randomly "acquiring" a la Team Fortress. As for PVE while some people are naming a few rare items they are extremely few of them and in large part require a solid ops group with a high level of experience with each other to achieve, there are next to none for someone to get solo, or with a casual group, and no unique items to flaunt and no special "fun" ways to acquire them other than camping an npc which is no fun at all for anyone. I'm hoping for 100s of unique ultra rare items that can be acquired in multitude of ways , group, ops solo and nightmare mods, easy and hard. I'm sure people here and in the dev offices can come up with a million scenarios for this, it wouldn't be a huge effort development wise but would go a long way in keeping the game fresh interesting and lively, throughout all planets, and for all levels and types of players.
  8. I've enumerated a few rare things in this game, but that's not the rare I'm talking about. Ok the crest yes thats great, however, the items are too few, and only accessible to people who are part of progression teams already or have a lot of time to farm, their gear first then the hateful entity, at least for now, and I'm one of them don't get me wrong. 'But how often do you do that, you have to agree to meet with 16+ ppl and more often than not it simply doesn't happen. I guess what I'm looking for is a reason to go out there, fly to planets discover , search for thing, maybe to get an ultra rare item (set amount per server before it changes to some other item), or better yet a Unique item that is unobtainable otherwise. How those items will drop without the whole farming/camping scenario, I'll leave to someone else here or the game designers to figure out, but I think that this would surely spice up the worlds and will send you out playing solo or with a friend to get something that could be special. Procedural programming? Dunno. I guess what I'd like to see is unique items more than rare ones, and ones that aren't bound so people can exchange or sell them at great value, and things that are obtainable in groups or solo. I believe that the majority of people would like this, or wouldn't mind it at the very least, but the question should be how can this be done without having the constant camping/farming a mob or even boss. Right now we're getting the large majority of the cool "loot" from the cartel market, and that's just a total bummer.

Agreed but it's temporary, dont forget these packs keep coming back, the prices will go back down, also there are 4-5 different versions of morlingers , doesnt feel that special having one, and most importantly market loot isnt going to get you excited to play the game and go on adventures, you can just park your character in front of GTN buy some cartel coins and wait. This is no way to make the game feel exciting.
  10. There really is nothing rare in this game nothing special. You cant be excited to have some ultra rare items or go on hunts as there aren't any. the occasional handful of items that are rare drops from some mobs and that are nothing special at all. Ugly green version of a mount that already exists in 10 different colors. And thats it. Bosses in ops will drop a few things as well. But also not enough. How about ultra rare items that give you an egde or look extravagant, something nothing in the game looks like and isn't a recolor? It used to be so much fun going on pet hunt like the orokeet, but nothing like that has been added since the begning of the game. The game feel pretty bland and mundane. If you added 100 ultra rare items, some legendary weapons that you cnanot get anywhere or any other way, crazy looking speeders or pets that give you a special egde, 130% speeder for example, or at least super special looking with one weird ability. It would really reinvigorate the game and make it richer on so many levels. Make it so individuals can hunt for it as well, and not necessarily in ops. Make it so that it is BOE or better yet not bound at all, something along the lines of the Czerka-o-matic. Nothing has value in the game, the few rare things arent that rare, they are bound to the player, you cannot resell it to make some crazy profit, the only resellable items are market ones, but then those are never rare as you keep bringing them back and make 20 clones or each. It really is lazy and makes this game a boring one-dimensional linear affair when it could be so much more than that, with just a little effort on creating loot, thats why we love these games, LOOT. Market item are ok, but far from what is needed here to keep the world vibrant. Hope you're listening.
  11. I am rarely opposed to decisions you make but this time I agree with the guys that was an irresponsible act. I understand your reasons for adding them back but there are much bigger reason not to. You have to realize there is an economy in game on which many depends and study carefully and base their decisions on. I for one, bought many items with CC I didn't need as an investment, I also kept those super rare items for the longest time, even thru financial problems with credits, just to keep their value growing, when I could've made an easy 20mil, it Is now worth next to nothing, and people in the future will bank on the fact that items will be back. Crafting is already dead, now this. When u do what u did, people lose faith in the system and the economy, no point in spending cc on unique items if they won't be unique, you devaluated my nest egg drastically. Think about all the repercussions, I will spare you the 3 pages of impact something like this has. I am really disappointed and quite angered by your lack of tact.
  12. Hey Eric. This has been the slowest period since the old days of slow periods. The year has been great steady content and fantastic job at that. All content was great, really great job. But people starting to itch now u can feel it in-game bigtime. It's been a while now. Hope there is something more than a pack set for tuesday, otherwise dont be long to release something, trust me on that, there is pressure mounting. Best of luck.

To be honest I don't see how it would prevent people form taking it for every character on their account, if they want it on many they want it on many both ways, otherwise, they can just come with the character they want it on. if you had it legacy, you'd just send it over to your alt right now, as you're suggesting, and wouldn't have to go back there to farm it again, which is exactly why it isnt BOL, that's the whole point, to run it more. Which is why this suggestion probably wont happen. and drops arent BOL, except for some exceptions, where the drop is an item that is class specific for obvious reasons, which doesnt apply to the hat. Ultra rare drops form oricon and czerka are bol true, but they are ultra rare and they are part of the reputation loot table and not ops.
  15. True. but firstly, if we could use GTN to search legacy wide bays and transfer items, it would solve tons of issues for players and devs, and make our lives far far easier.
