  1. Lol, give me a break, mathematical mistake.
  2. Ya I just started playing again (stopped in January due to a shoulder operation). I come back a mere three months later and my once overflowing sever is freaking dead! Luckily I didn't have any high level characters on it or I would have been pretty upset. This game isn't doing bad, but a stretched out population will hurt it more and more and more overtime.
  3. Alright so I was looking forward to this game for a long time. Got into beta loved it. Got the CE for christmas and loved it... for about 2 weeks... then I had to get an operation on my arm and I haven't been able to play until the other day. I get back, all excited to start a new character, and I discover the starting zone dead. Then I check all the servers, and see that only ONE east coast server is actually "full", and even on the full one there was no que. Now, last time I played there were ques all over the place and some longer than an hour! Seeing such a dramatic difference in only three months has me wondering how the game is doing sales wise and player wise. Is it considered a success?
  4. ToR has much better character customization than WoW. However, they have a much worse racial selection. In a universe so full of crazy, awesome, and beloved alien races... I was hoping to see at least interesting species. Instead we just get a bunch of races that look like the super glued horns onto themselves and then fell into paint. I do get WHY, but ya know, kinda wish they put in the extra effort.
  5. Ohh... I was hoping this thread would be a complete list of bugs... not half bugs and half opinions.
  6. Wow, I think I blocked deleveling from my brain. I always liked trains though, it was annoying, but the rampage they wrought could be funny as hell. The good old days of seeing "TRAIN!" In chat. I miss them so! BOBBLEY THE DWARF COME BACK!
  7. I miss EQ Although I don't miss corpse runs Tying into EQ... EQ was a game that in some ways put Lore first. For example, racial tensions. Some races hated others and some races were accepted by others. There was no balance to this, only what fit into the lore. For example, EVERYONE hated the Iksaur. If you played one of those scaled jerks, pretty much everyone in the world wanted you dead. Was it unfair and unbalanced. Hell yeah. However, it actually made the world more believable and the immersion that much stronger. Same with racial cities. The poor barbarians were trapped way up North, unable to join the rest of the world without first being a decently high level to escape their deadly domain. The Dwarfs on the other hand had a buncha ships that could take them all over the place. Unfair, yes. Fun, yes! Back in the day, MMO's were about creating a universe that felt real, that felt like a world you were part of. Now MMO's just feel like games. There's to much gameplay shoved in your face, to much balance, to much hand holding. Don't get me wrong, I loved WoW, I love SWTOR, hell I even liked AoC and War. But I do kinda miss the old ways.
  8. A. This is the star wars universe... ever seen one of the movies? Jedi with lighsabers certainly seem to have the advantage of ranged enemies. I can't believe you just said "like in real life" PLEASE! B. I totally agree, you cannot compare this game to one that has seven years of fixes and content. Some people expect SWTOR to have just as much content and far less bugs because it's seven years later. Those people don't get how difficult and daunting it is to make an MMO. C. I was playing warcraft a week before it's release and long after. But saying the "sheer amount of bugs it had was UNHEARD OF" is total B.S. It was buggy as hell, but no more or no less then a typical MMO. It was a pretty average mmo release in terms of bugs, perhaps only having slightly less then SWTOR.
  9. Lol, I felt like I was missing something too... then I got used to it I guess. It does seem a little silly.
  10. Some people bring up very valid points, and SWTOR does fall short in areas that is has no excuse to fall short in. For example, corridor like regions are a major step back imo. A beloved part of and EXPECTED part of MMO's are huge environments for people to explore. SWTOR rails you in way to frequently. I'm not talking about those points, I'm merely talking about the people who expect this game to have far less bugs or to have far more content. Some people literally expect this game to be bigger then WoW, to have no downtime, to be bug free, ect. There are MANY of these types of people.
  11. Ya, but only about 70% of the time. The dialogue wheel breaks this pattern frequently enough to screw you WAY to frequently. There's only 1 thing I absolutely hate about this game and know for certain it won't be fixed... the stupid stupid dialogue wheel. It is too vague or just totally off WAY to frequently.
  12. Anyone who claims TOR should have just as much content as WoW and should be just as polished as WoW... HAS NO FREAKING IDEA how difficult it is to make games. It would be simply impossible for SWTOR to have as much content and be as polished as WoW is. Not even with the massive resources bioware or ea have. If you took WoW when it was first released and compare it to SWTOR now, SWTOR would be the CLEARLY superior product. It would blow WoW outta the water. But WoW has had several years and several expansions to tidy up and add to the game. In a perfect world where money and time was no issue, yeah, SWTOR would be clearly seven years more advanced then WoW, and thus superior in every way. However, this is not a perfect world... and like ALL MMO's... this is not even close to a perfect game.
  13. This is MY biggest problem with SWTOR. There are certainly a few exceptions, but many planets do feel like one big corridor as opposed to an open MMO world. One of my favorite things to do in MMO's is explore... I can't really do that in SWTOR. Oh well, like every MMO before it, SWTOR has many strengths and many flaws. It's the nature of the beast I suppose.
