  1. Don't even think of rolling on Pot5. Though Pub queue times improve as the day progresses (averaging 30+ minutes in the morning hours), on the Imp side you could be in queues 1 hour plus at prime time, even with multiple fleet instances running. I'm actually think of moving all my toons to another server, just to play GSF more regularly.
  2. Why on earth anybody would ever post the Cyber 2/2/2 "formula" in open forums is beyond me. Something like that should be a closely held "trade secret". Granted, I saw it pop out in here once before and just hoped peeps would pass over it unnoticed. But then, I don't often cruise the crafting forums. Anyway, I get the same return of mats as posted by Psandak, and noticed this immediately after the droid parts were released into the game. Unfortunately, buying mats on Pot5 is a non-starter. Mythra rarely drops below 700cpu and Turadium is seldom seen below 1,500cpu. That's why 4 of my toons have Scavanging (and 4 also have Bioanalysis for Biochem). Every hour or so, I log in, collect what they're gathered, and send them back out. But that's not the worst of it. On Pot5, GTN prices for mk-9 kits have now fallen into the very low 50s. Not sure how it is on your servers, but most people on Pot5 have no clue how to price their products, understand that there is a "psychology of sales" or remotely grasp the concept of supply and demand. It is quite common to see a player selling a stack of 10 kits for "X", and some nitwit comes right behind him and lists 2 pages (16 listings) of single unit kits for "X-1000" each, undercutting the 10-pc stack seller. This then brings the next dummy to come along and post another page of parts for "X-1000-2000" each. It's madness, and along with being totally bored with WZ, is one of the reasons I'm thinking of leaving the game. Ron White was right: You can't fix stupid. You can't fix lazy, either.
  3. Having a full Madenss Sorc on Pot5, I'm in pretty much the same situation as the OP. I am full Obroan and Min-Maxed, and I seldom run ranked anymore because of the "Gank the Sorc first" mentality. In the vast majority of cases, if the other team decides to focus you, you're going to go down and that's that. It's just not fun, so I don't do it. I run GSF instead... if I can get a queue pop. Of course there are exceptions, but they're team-dependent (i.e., whether you have a healer, can your team peel 1 or 2 of them off you, etc.). Short of that, though, all you can do is try to stay alive as long as possible so your team can (hopefully) do it's job. If you're managing to stay alive (forget all about doing any damage for a moment), and your team is managing to beat on them while they beat on you, you're making a substantial contribution. Ignore the L2P naysayers. They'll QQ about anything.
  4. ... or are we a bit squishier since 2.6? I can't put my finger on why, other than I seem to go down a lot faster than I did pre-2.6.
  5. True... but the OP's idea as a whole had merit. My thoughts are: 10 seconds to leave the capital ship before being dumped into the Refit Screen, and If you go into Refit, it's a 45 second lockout. How's that?
  6. Be careful with this strategy. It's very easy to get the "You are not contributing" message. Been there, done that, have the t-shirt.
  7. ... and I won't play another until it's fixed. A GS 1-shot by a Strike? That's right... 1-shot... twice! I realize the patch should not have caused this... but it's never happened until this afternoon. So I have no other frame of reference. We were an out outclassed team, with no refuge. Even all the ground PVE has a refuge point. Domination I'll play... but count all my toons out of TDM. Sorry teams.
  8. LOL... it is funny! I'll take my GS and continue to run to the capital ship if I feel the need, with the hope that maybe you run into a few of my team coming out.
  9. I have actually killed a couple of GS's doing this. Too funny!
  10. Flew a Minelayer into a TDM yesterday, placing HSBs at strategic points on the map as circumstances dictated. Dropped mines around the HSB to defend it. Circled the area(s) to defend them. Continually got the "You are not contributing" message. Wound up with 1 kill, 1 assist and ZERO Reqs. The match was a complete waste of my time. Devs, please tell me, did I not contribute to our victory? Is it my fault the opposition made few attempts to take out my mines and HSB? I was flying a Bomber, for God's sake. Am I really expected to chase down Scouts and Strikes with a flying brick and engage in a dogfight? If this is the case, just take Bombers out of the game. I even went so far as to fly into a massive dogfight and drop my mines in the middle of it. A lot of good that did. I was dead before I could escape the area. Chalk a point up for the other team, and no credit for me. The screen says "Do damage or interact". Since mines are stationary, I cannot control whom they attack, or whether the opposition will come close enough for them to do damage. If I chase powerups, am I interacting? How is my team benefiting from my chasing Pups just so I can receive Reqs? Bear in mind, this is all TDM-related in terms of how a Minelayer is supposed to contribute and receive credit for just doing its job. Somebody from the Dev staff should address this issue publicly, so we know BW's stance on this.
  11. Don't forget the defensive buffs that break missile lock. That could be part of the issue.
  12. Well, since nobody has bothered to mention Prophecy of the Five, I guess I will: My server: Pot5 My faction: I typically split evenly between Imp and Pubbie, but that's not the case server-wide Any GSF-focused guilds? Level of activity? With website?: Not entirely sure. I'd hesitate to guess. Queue times, AM/PM: AM queues are extremely rare. PM queues are slowing down these days. Pub side gets more queues, more pub vs pub matches. Queue quality: I almost always get matches with 1-2 people on each team with only the starter ships (ie. newbie GSF pilots). Friendliness: Generally friendly, but there is often somebody that just has to take the time in Ops chat to berate other players. Skill: There are many skilled players in both factions. It's a good balance. Premades: Seldom, from what I can tell
  13. What has been neglected in this discussion is with the addition of bombers and deathmatch, we need the ability to swap build-outs between queue pop and match start. If I can switch ships during a match, why not be able to switch a ship's equipment? Strategy and tactics for Deathmatch are radically different than Domination, and how I'd equip my ship varies between the two map styles differs, as well. Just my 2¢
  14. I feel your pain re: being left handed. I bind everything I can to the number pad, arrow keys and [insert/Home/Page Up/Delete/End/Page Down] Keys so I can reach them all easily with my right hand.
