  1. The Chorba Intelligence Academy no longer exists as an active guild on the Jung Ma server. If you see one of us with the tag (on Pubside: <C I A>) feel free to say hello, but we're no longer actively organizing events and/or interacting with players. We had a good run, and at least one of us will play on Jung Ma until the day it's dead. Stubbornness? Maybe. Dedication? Nah. Laziness? Yeah...that sounds about right.
  2. Clan Desh'ar no longer exists as it once did on the Jung Ma server. All active leadership has either transferred off the server or stopped playing the game. The following information is based on hearsay and hasn't been confirmed, but is most likely true: One former member, Ashanaigh, upon receiving the GM spot, drained the guild bank. Another former member, Lycryss, upon receiving the GM spot, removed everyone else from the guild beside himself. What can I say? Aliit ori'shya tal'din. ...to some of us, anyway.
  3. Check out this here post and get back to me if you're interested. Thanks, and have a good one!
  4. TITLE: C.I.A. Career Day HOST: The Chorba Intelligence Academy WHEN: May 7th, 8:30 PM EST WHERE: Hez's Galactic Stronghold (The Academy) WHAT: Jung Ma Guild Showcase / Social Event OBJECTIVE: Get to know the server's active guilds and players! DURATION: 3 hours POINT OF CONTACT: Violet-sky, Reaver, Hez, Ianarri, and Ringo Greetings, prospective Graduate! As you come closer to completing our curriculum, you may find yourself wondering what comes next. Worry not, Cadets, because the Administration has arranged an event just for you! Throughout the years (and despite of a few precarious political predicaments), the C.I.A. has managed to maintain a small network of reliable contacts through which freelance intelligence work can be attained. Representatives from various nodes of this network have agreed to assemble peacefully at the Academy in order to scout for entry-level espionage talent in an event we're calling the first annual C.I.A. Career Day. Whether you plan on spying part-time or full-time, this is an event you won't want to miss! OOC: This event is designed to showcase the active guilds of Jung Ma for new or returning players on the server after the release of game update 4.3—not a lofty 'save the server' social event, just a showing of who's who. The Stronghold will be redecorated with a 'showroom' feel, and will be open to guilds from both factions, of various sizes, and various specializations: RP, PvP, PvE, any mix of the above. Any RP considerations preventing groups or people from attending will be temporarily supsended. In addition, while the C.I.A. is an RP guild, non-RP guilds will be invited to attend so long as they don't troll or otherwise harass RPers. Officers will be standing by ready to give the boot to anyone who doesn't abide by this guideline, with a maximum of 1 warning before removal. Each guild will be asked to send 2-3 representatives to staff their booth. Guilds will be given the opportunity to have 1-2 of their reps give a brief presentation in our downstairs lecture hall, so long as they leave at least 1 person behind to man the booth. Presentations will begin during the event's 2nd hour. The 3rd hour will feature various activities for attendees to participate in: pazaak tables, a PvP dueling tournament, and an OOC item auction. We reserve the right to reject any guild that we've never heard of, that we suspect is only attending for incentives, and/or that we've had bad relations with in the past. As far as that last part goes, we're pretty forgiving in general. If you'd like to participate as a representative of your guild, reach out to one of the Officers named above, either via enjin or in-game. The sooner you reach out to us, the better. We look forward to hearing from you, and if not, hopefully seeing you there!
  5. Thanks for posting! My google-fu could use some work, it seems.
  6. An excellent post. Thanks for creating it! I'd also like to add that both the Ebon Hawk and Jung Ma both have community-created sites to help foster communication outside the official forums. The Progenitor also had a site as well, but it appears that it recently may have gone inactive.
  7. Most people know this ain't my cup of tea, but I'm glad to see it happening. Keep up the good work, Zeph, and congrats to the winners!
  8. Thanks for the endorsement, Dronos, and good luck on Ebon Hawk!
  9. The current period of Open Enrollment for the Chorba Intelligence Academy is now closed. While we'll still be accepting new applications and recruits, we will not be actively seeking to expand until further notice. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
  10. The respect is mutual, and appreciated. As for Sanctuary, that's an unfortunate thing to hear. We've always had good interactions with them, be it Nar bar RP or Tese saving my *** in 4v4s. Regardless, if you've got any questions for us, the best means of getting in touch with us outside of game is via enjin.
  11. Thanks for the feedback! PvP isn't our specialty, and we as a guild have never claimed it was, especially not in this, our recruitment thread. We PvP sometimes in pursuit of conquest goals and better PvP gear for RP purposes. I can't speak for nameless individual members of my guild, but personally I don't care enough about PvP to even know what 'cheesy' means, though context tells me it's an insult to our collective skill level, or selection of characters to run warzones on. We make cheesy jokes frequently, if that's what you're implying. The previous sentence is a prime example of one. We aim to have our members refrain from saying anything at all during warzones aside from objective-based and 'necessary' communication. I do know for a fact that I myself violated this goal recently, when emoting a /pointlaugh and /boohoo at someone who was upset enough to voice his opinion of our PvP skills in say chat after losing a single life in a single warzone in who knows which number in an ongoing series of PvP matches. I didn't think that was you, but if it was, my bad. I did see you for sure on the toon Zeph at one point last night in a huttball match y'all stomped us in, and tried to /bow at you when I recognized the toon name, as I remembered your name from these forums and you seem like an okay dude to me. Ultimately I ended up bowing to one of your teammates instead, as I suck so bad at PvP I can't even click on the right guy to emote at, when I should probably be trying to win. I'll do my best to make sure my officers and members refrain from any further trash talk in the future. It's not normally in our character. If you're upset with our skill level or warzone composition, well...all I can say is that we're currently recruiting, if you'd care to fill out an application and show us how it's done! —Hez (AKA Skooter)
  12. If you haven't found anybody else yet, let me know and I can temporarily spare an alt for guild creation purposes only. Can likely have a guildie lend a hand as well. In-game contact: Pubside: Skooter, Chorba Impside: Hez, Jarface, Skootar
  13. Now seeking: someone interested and experienced in PvE to help moderate and facilitate the PvE section of the Jung Ma Community enjin website's forums. Send me a PM if you'd like to know more, and check out the original post on the forum itself. Thanks, and have a good one.
  14. The C.I.A. is currently conducting Open Enrollment, a limited-time, limited-admission recruitment initiative. We'll be posting recruitment messages in genchat on various planets, inviting those interested to meet us at a specifed place (likely a cantina) for an RP introduction. For more information, PM me or (more reliably) send me a message via enjin. Looking forward to expanding our fanatical cul—uh, I mean fun community!
