  1. I haven't played past 20 on any character, so my experience is limited, but from what I've seen: Jedi Sage: Not for everyone, myself partially included. Everything that happens in this story seems emotionless, it fits well with the idea of the Jedi code, avoiding emotions or extremes, but it's fairly boring. Smuggler: Loved the prologue story line (Keeping it spoiler free) it was exciting and personal, how the story ends up dragging the smuggler along the republic leveling planets afterwards, however feels kinda lazy. Republic Trooper: I enjoyed the fact that it made being a solider difficult. It was the first story where I actually wanted to make dark side choices simply because of what was being thrown at me, it felt night and day different from a Jedi and I appreciated that.
  2. I decided to play my Sith Inquisitor Neutral, because I feel like it works better with my character, however I'm still not entirely sure light/dark does. I know there is some cosmetic gear, and I heard something about a relic being tied to light or dark as well as the Sith Inquisitor title being altered by my neutrality (The Darth one) but can somebody clarify this/let me know if it will affect me statistically/cosmetically to be neutral?
  3. I had two destinations when I played my Jedi Knight, but I didn't see two when I on my Sith Inquisitor, I'll check again though. Thanks for the info.
  4. Hey, I've been playing a Sith Inquisitor Assassin, I just recently finished the story on Dromand Koss and I ended it around lvl 15. However, the next story mission is going to send me to a planet that is lvl 20, I've tried the first mission there and I got destroyed quickly. Basically what I'm asking is, why is there such a jump in levels between worlds, I did side quests while on DK, it's not like I just rushed straight through the story. Am I supposed to just grind random quests that I don't care about before I can get on with the whole reason I play the game? Is there something else to do where I don't fall so behind in levels? Or is this just a way to keep people grinding longer so they pay for more months? I don't mean to sound irate, but I'm somewhat pissed that there is such a spike in the level, when the last story mission on DK is around lvl 16. A four level spike that comes out of nowhere just seems out of the blue, unless I'm just playing wrong and missing something, am I? Edit:I found out I overlooked Balmora, so thanks to everyone for helping me out with this, I feel kind of bad about getting so angry when it was my fault and not the games. Anyway, thanks again for all the help.
  5. Wall o' text incoming! Hey, I just recently started playing the Old Republic and after some searching decided on the Jedi Knight, however I'm level 10 and I can't for the life of me decide which advance class I want, I'm really worried about making this choice because there is no way I want to spend another 3-4 hours going through the same story just because I didn't like my first choice. I tried researching a bit on the specs from each, but since this is a fairly new game I don't really know many reputable websites and I have yet to find anything that lets me know what the play style is like or which abilities each class/spec uses. I guess I'll just go through a list of what I like from each and then if you would be so kind as to tell me if I'm correct, guide me in the direction of one or the other or give some extra information I'd be greatly appreciative. Guardian: Pros: Tanking is nice, I consider it easier than DPS in most mmos (Simply because when I play DPS I have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out the optimal rotation/min-maxing my stats, when I play a tank I don't feel quite as obligated.) Easier flash point entrance most likely. I don't know if this AC is good for PvP (I don't really like the Focus tree) but I'd like to be able to wade into a group of enemies and be nigh unkillable, even if my damage is meh it's still be fun to do occasionally. Cons: Single light saber Vigilance doesn't interest me as a DPS spec, but I heard something about a tanking vigilance hybrid spec. Focus doesn't interest me as a DPS spec. might have slower leveling time due to lower damage Sentinel Pros: Double light sabers = cool looking For some reason I just love Ataru form, I think having talents that make it stronger is cool and I like the way combat (seemingly) flows together is a big plus in my book. I also think Watchman looks kinda cool, but I don't like it as much as I do Combat. Cons: I have a feeling being a melee DPS will make flash point finding difficult From what I read, these are hard specs to do and I have no experience with this game, nor do I know a place where I can find a legitimate guide like I could in WoW with Elitist Jerks. No tanking No sure how good these specs are in PvP, since I dislike focus in both trees. So can I get some help with these? I love dual wielding and combat but I don't want to be left high and dry without any flash point groups and I also don't know if I can handle Combat if it's as hard as people make it out to be, in WoW I played a Frost DW DK competently, as well as a Feral Druid and a Unholy DK, is it comparable to those? (For anybody who has WoW experience.) If you could link any guides or anything, I'd also be grateful.
