  1. I can't get on either ... same thing. Stuck at the SWTOR splash screen with the gear turning. Have rebooted and relaunched, still nothing for 20 minutes.
  2. Been playing since launch and was in two beta weekends - I like the game mechanics and love the story. My issue with the game - is that it seems so isolated. I think the chat channels may need to include systems or level ranges rather than just planetary chat. Seems more like a Micro Multiplayer Online game in it's current state.
  3. Already spent 25k in repairs and can't beat him because I can't target him. Also can't target Kaliyo to heal her. Guess I won't be playing my IA anymore until this is fixed.
  4. I'm enjoying this game precisely because of the story and voice overs - I'm also leveling alts and enjoying their stories as well. It's much like reading a novel that switches between different protagonists as the subject of each chapter. This game won't be for everyone - perhaps a FPS is more of the OP's style. Or an MMO that doesn't push a lot of story at the player - there's plenty of those to choose from.
  5. I go from one thread where the OP says TOR isn't hard enough to another where it's too hard - something tells me BW got it exactly right.
  6. When you get to space and you pull up the galaxy map - each planet has an ideal level range. There's your answer-key for being challenged in combat. If you're really interested in doing all the quests, you can always go back and do them when they are grey or do them with an alt.
  7. Maybe this game needs difficulty settings - because there's no way anybody would take advantage of that.
  8. Hardly - if there wasn't an excess of quests, people would complain. So there's MORE than enough needed to attain your levels. If you do them ALL you will be over-leveled for the next area. It's simple math. The only other variables you can control are your character and your companion if you refuse to level and move on at an appropriate pace.
  9. Dismiss your companion. Oh, and don't do every quest. Quest at your level or higher. Move on - you can't stop and pick every flower.
  10. And here I am working so hard to save a million credits to buy that wrist band.
  11. My human main was 'dark-skinned' - about two shades off from max. Now he looks pale, almost like a vampire. It's cool - I'm ok with it, but I was surprised.
  12. As an aside, Datacrons are appropriately glowy.
  13. There are a lot of moving parts with a game launch of this magnitude. BW has not been perfect but in game I'd give them B+. It's playing incredibly smoothly for me and I'm really enjoying it. For out of game, taking their site down before EA. For the spotty moderation. For the poor communication in some places, I'd give them a C. Combined grade for early access, maybe B-
